Once we got there, she seemed to fit right in and the teacher (Marcy) was very helpful at taking time with her to get her caught up Classes in her age range (3-5 year olds I think) are a little less than an hour long. She seems to genuinely have a good time while learning basic gymnastics routines, coordination, listening, and patience. The facility itself is super clean and nice. They are doing renovations so I'm sure it'll be even more nice when it's complete. Good monthly pricing for the amount of class time and teacher to student ratios

I was told the change had been approved, so we made the drive from quite a distance to attend. When we arrived, instead of acknowledging the confusion, the staff talked over me and argued that the coaches and front desk employees don't have the authority to make those decisions. That may be true internally, but as a customer, I relied on the information your staff provided. A simple apology for the misinformation and for the inconvenience of driving all that way would have gone a long way. Instead, the interaction felt defensive rather than customer-focused. Mistakes happen, but how a business responds to them is what leaves a lasting impression. Unfortunately, the lack of accountability and poor customer service led us to cancel our membership.

When we moved to North County, I started looking for a gymnastics gym for my girls. I had been…read moreworking with them on skills at home for a while, but despite my best efforts, I hadn't found a gym that felt like the right fit. I was looking for a bit of a unicorn--a gym small enough to feel like family, but with great coaching, well-maintained equipment, and a competitive program that wouldn't feel too intense or high-pressure at their young age. They weren't ready to compete yet, but I had a feeling that might be where they were headed. Then, after a Sprouts run one day, I happened to walk by Gyminny Kids La Costa. I signed both girls up for a trial class, and they immediately loved it. They loved their coaches, felt comfortable, and seemed to feel at home almost instantly. Now, both of my girls compete on the XCEL team, and it has turned out to be exactly what we were hoping for. They get to enjoy the sport and the excitement of competition, while the focus remains on their individual growth, with lots of encouragement rather than pressure. And then there is Coach Brittany. She has become one of my girls' absolute favorite humans. She is incredibly supportive and has helped them develop so much as gymnasts, but what means even more to me is the relationship she has built with them. They trust her, rely on her, and know she is in their corner. She has become such an important part of their development--not only as gymnasts, but as people--and I am incredibly grateful for her. The entire team is pretty special. The kids are different ages and levels, but they genuinely support and care about one another. It really does feel like a little family. My girls are happy, comfortable, and confident here. Somehow, we found our unicorn. I couldn't recommend Gyminny Kids La Costa--and especially Coach Brittany--more highly to families looking for the same kind of gymnastics experience we were.

Warning: long review incoming :D…read more We've been coming to Gyminny Kids La Costa for camp for the past several weeks (and to classes off and on over the last couple of years), and I can't say enough wonderful things about this place. Since I've been able to stay and work while my daughter is at camp, I've had the opportunity to be a fly on the wall and watch the coaches interact with the kids and it seriously has been such a joy to see. The coaches are truly exceptional and are what make this place so special. They are patient, kind, and incredibly encouraging, but they also do an amazing job at setting appropriate boundaries and making sure that safety is their top priority (looking at you, trampolines!). But what really stands out is their consistency and genuine care for the kids. Every coach I've observed treats the kids with respect and enthusiasm and takes the time to learn each of their personalities. I've been incredibly impressed by how the coaches handle the more difficult moments, whether it be a kiddo who is having a hard time following directions, or is feeling overwhelmed, or is straight up having a hard day - the coaches are always patient and professional. They remain calm, are positive, and are super supportive but still maintain structure and expectations of the kiddos. It's very evident that they understand that every kid develops differently and they meet the kids where they are. One thing that has especially stood out to me is the compassion they show children with special needs or those who may need a little extra support. Instead of a one-size-fits-all approach, they create an environment where every kiddo feels included and supported and they take the time to connect with them as an individual. As a parent, it means a lot to see that level of empathy and intentionality. I'm also impressed with how organized everything is. This location is much smaller than their original 4S Ranch location, but even with all the chaos and nonstop energy, the staff operate like a well oiled machine. The transitions between stations, snacks, crafts, games, and gym activities are seamless, and the kids always seem engaged and supervised. An extra bonus is that they make a point of having each kid wash their hands before eating, keep hand sanitizer and wipes stationed throughout the facility, and do peanut butter checks at snack/lunch since they are a peanut-free facility. We've been coming to Gyminny Kids locations on and off over the last 10 years and have enjoyed seeing how much they've grown while still maintaining their values. As a parent, it's incredibly reassuring to leave your child somewhere you know they'll be safe, encouraged, and genuinely cared for!

My 2 year old son has been attending the Toddler (parent & me) class for the past year and I cannot…read moresay enough great things about this gymnastics center. First of all, the coach and owner Mrs. Angela, is a phenomenal teacher and truly cares for her students. She knows all the kids' names, she always has a ton of positive energy that is perfect for kids, and she knows just what to say to motivate and talk to young kids to keep them engaged. She is amazing and my son talks about her throughout the week because he is always so excited to see her on Wednesdays. I like that the class is structured, yet flexible enough to accommodate individual differences in children's energy levels and ability to sit and attend. There is no judgement for children who have more energy, who might not be listening as well as others, or who might be having an off day. They do a really good job with meeting kids where they're at and then appropriately challenging them. One of the reasons I enrolled my son in this class was to learn coordination and body awareness, which he has definitely done, but I also love that they teach gymnastics skills in the Toddler class (like real gymnastics moves that you would think only the older kids can do). At first my son couldn't do any of them, but as he watched Mrs. Angela and practiced them, he quickly caught on and was doing moves that I had no idea he could do at 2 years old! A lot of the moves they practice are also the building blocks for higher level gymnastic moves (hand stands, cartwheels, bar and floor work) and it's amazing to watch him progress towards being able to do these moves. He is not only becoming more coordinated and learning what his body can do, he is learning some impressive gymnastics skills! They do a great job of teaching to kids who are at different levels since kids can practice doing as much of the move as they can and as they get better, they are getting closer to the full move. The best part about this class is it's fun. I get excited for our gymnastics day and so does my son. It makes me so happy to see him having a good time and being proud of himself for mastering challenging skills. They have a big trampoline, bars, rings, spring boards, balance beam, a toddler area, foam pieces to climb over or go under, ladders to climb, mats to somersault on, and fun songs the kids get to dance and sing to while working their body. The class has a lot of repetition to help kids learn and master moves, however each class is different than the last to keep kids from getting bored. SoCal is amazing and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a positive gymnastics experience. We love Mrs. Angela but I have head that the other teachers are great too!

But regardless, we all had a fun time with our baby and the other parents! The activities My Gym put together were thoughtful (like swing time or story time). The attendants made sure to come around and talk to all the babies. Usually these types of places don't have as many activities for babies as they do for toddlers, so we were grateful to find this establishment. For the future, we will probably stick to library story time and parks to meet other babies and parents to save money. But, it was really nice having the opportunity to come here on a trial basis. And, after just one class, I could tell my baby was wanting to socialize more and eager to learn with her baby peers. It was awesome meeting other parents going through the same parenting stages as well!

It was great because my daughter always looked forward to it and for her particular school it always came on Friday morning so I'd use this as motivation to get her pumped about going to school/ getting ready. However it oftentimes didn't show up. Though we were billed monthly the same amount each time and it was supposed to be for 4 sessions a month, in the entire time my daughter was there, some months it only came once or twice, and most it seemed like 3x a month. I can remember many many times where for whatever reason it didn't show up and my daughter would be so bummed out, in the end she stopped counting on it being there even though it was supposed to be there every Friday. Granted, sometimes the bus broke down (beyond their control), or the school had a function (such as a parade) where the head of school would cancel it that day but most of the times it wasn't there seemed for no reason at all, as well as never a notification or email about it. Basically the low review is because of how unreliable the bus was at coming, a sentiment shared by two other moms at the school who also canceled it for this reason. I finally decided to cancel it too, and after repeated phone calls with no answer I decided to log into my account online to cancel it, only to find out there is no option to delete my credit card information stored (only modify it to another working CC), and no option at all to cancel my membership. They make it so easy to do everything online except cancel. Kind of like Direct TV. For a cheap stupid gym bus membership. Really? So annoyed with the way this place was ran.

I called Jaime and she was extremely helpful and professional. She even called me to remind me the day before. Ok, so her bday party was at callan swim school and I thought this was a great idea to have the bus there after swimming and gives us parents time to eat while hey play on the bus. The kids were so amazed with the bus they were all silent for 5 minutes. Not only Jaime was there she had her assistant as well (kamarria). The bus was clean and safe for the kids to play on. The team had games and were actually interacting with the kids which I was totally surprised. Most places they just let the kids roam free and ignore the tots....not them. They made sure the kids were having fun and us adults had time to enjoy the food instead of scarfing it down our throats. Yes it may seem pricey but well worth it!!! The kids are still talking about it ( let me remind you they are only 2) Hire them and you won't regret it! Best hr for us adults and the kids!!
