This company is very professional and provide a thorough & true leak detection service. My swimming pool & spa were both loosing water so Colin pressurized all the lines and found they were holding pressure, no leaks in the plumbing. The leaks he found were behind the spa light and the pool light niches & he repaired them. He recommended replacing the bad check valve And rebuilding the Jandy valves that were leaking air. Without his thoroughness, we would've never known about those. I was concerned abut my pool leaking so i reached out to Colin. Communication was straightforward, and I scheduled an appointment even though his quote was a lot higher than the other companies that got back to me. Im so glad i did because this guy knows what he's doing and is honest. I've come across a lot of flaky people in the pool business. Colin didn't seem that way at all. Got a text when he was en route and he showed up during the scheduled time. After i told him my reasons for suspecting a leak and his initial assessment of my pool and equipment, Colin didnt think i had leak or needed an in-depth inspection. He proceeded to spend another 15 or so minutes inspecting my skimmer and pool equipment. He spent another 10 minutes educating me on pool leaks and what to look out for. Colin was great! He went above and beyond. I thought I smelled mold in the home and he checked out the interior and exterior of the home and did a pressure check on all the plumbing. He investigated the source of a minor occasional drip under the sink ( not where I smelled the mold) and a checked out a defunct water heater. He concluded that the mold smell was coming through the open window from the garden, and in fact the smell was stronger out there. We called our leak detection specialist Colin because we have bubbles coming out from one of the return jets. We also noticed the pool water level was going down. As usual, Colin arrived on time and ran some tests. He found a leak in the suction line, next to the pump. We scheduled another appointment to fix the problem. Colin is my hero. I woke up at 6am on Mother's Day to pounding on my door. A dog walker noticed I had a broken pipe in the front of my house and water was running down the street. The water level in my fiberglass pool was dropping about 2 inches everyday. I sent a message requesting a quote through Yelp and Colin responded within a few hours. He provided the cost, the details of the leak detection process and scheduled a visit 2-3 days later. He arrived promptly and completed the comprehensive leak detection process and explained the results. He found a problem with the sweep line. On pressure testing the sweep line, he found it was losing pressure. Upon further inspection he found a crack in the wall fitting glue joint. The area was dye tested and a leak was visually confirmed. Colin scheduled the repairs (within 5 days). On the day of the repair, he explained each step, providing updates as he worked. We had a leak that would reveal itself on the sidewalk flowing from the edge of our lawn. I knew it was under the front porch patio because the immediate lawn area seemed to always be saturated, and was very soft to walk on. That, and high water bills, we decided it was time to get this fixed. I put a blast on Yelp and was able to speak with a few plumbers, who recommended hiring a Leak Detection Specialist since it was possibly under concrete. They also explained how typically and frightfully expensive such a job would cost. Unfortunately, it had to be done. In my research, I found the routine well known big companies who perform Leak Detection, but also found a newcomer in the business called Pacific Coast Leak Detection. Pacific Coast Leak Detection seemed to have just been established with no reviews yet on Yelp. In typical fashion, I was like, "What the Heck!" and gave them a call. I spoke with Colin Marcee, who is the owner and operator of this new company. Upon speaking with Colin, I learned that he had over a decade of experience in this field with many of those years at the big detection companies. He is also scuba certified so he is able to find and service leaks in pools. He took the time to answer all my questions and explained the leak detection process along with what to expect. I made an appointment with him and he was able to come by that afternoon. At the appointment, he went over the details in the process of finding the leak and what the repair would entail if it was under the concrete. He was very honest, easy to talk to, knowledgeable in his field, and reassured his ability to pinpoint the leak. He went ahead and pressurized the waterlines and proceeded to listen for the leak with his specialized detector. After listening in for a bit, he marked an "X" where he suspected the leak was. Unfortunately, it was under the concrete, as I had dreaded. At this point, the leak detection part was complete and I had the choice of going with a company of my choice for the repairs or have Colin go to work on the leak. I chose the latter and I made an appointment with Colin for the following day. The next day, Colin arrived to our appointment as scheduled. After setting up, he attempted to go through the dirt and dig under the concrete in hopes of saving time and money by not going through the patio. Unfortunately, it was not accessible and demo needed to be performed. He went through the concrete and dug out the area to discover the leak was EXACTLY where he had placed his listening sensor, as can be seen in my picture upload. He made the repair to the separated PVC joint with a series of right angle fittings to relieve potential torsional stress typically experienced with a single joint, which seemed to be the original cause of the leak. Then, he retested the waterlines and the pressure was holding steady with no drop off. Colin then backfilled the repair area and packed and leveled it with sand before finally pouring the concrete. In addition, he applied color to the mix before pouring and finishing with a brushed texture in attempts to match the original concrete as close as possible. When all was said and done, the final cost of the project was VERY reasonable, even undercutting the quotes I was receiving from the plumbers by more than a third! I must say that I am Very Happy with this experience. I am very glad I called Pacific Coast Leak Detection and am delighted that I can give them 5 Stars on their first Yelp review. Hopefully, we will never encounter another issue where we will require their services, but in the event that we do, Pacific Coast Leak Detection will be our first call. read more

Had a pool leak at an unidentified location. Colin came out performed all of his testing but couldn't find the leak. We came to the conclusion that the leak was likely in the pool drain at the bottom of the pool so he put on his dive suit, dove down there, confirmed the leak and patched it with Epoxy. I give Colin 5 plus stars for his outstanding leak detection service he provided at my home in Tracy on Oct 18. He went above and beyond to test my Pool waterfall system and help prove to my pool contractor that the system was indeed leaking. To confirm there was a leak was almost impossible other than the moisture spots that were visible on the stucco. He tested various things and finally one of his tests showed a water line that confirmed a leakage inside the waterfall wall. Thanks to his expertise and consistent testing I can now have my pool contractor fix this leak since the waterfall was just recently built and under warranty. Thanks Colin! read more

If there is anybody out there that needs some pool repairs I highly recommend Colin Marcee! I don't think I have ever had a workman of any kind with the professionalism knowledge and friendly with such good business practices as Colin! We have had a leak with the pool for a couple of years now.... pretty obvious it was something to do with the skimmers and one company came out said yes it is the skimmers , gave us a price. Of course we got a second opinion on the situation Colin was recommended from another company that was way to busy, had just met Him and did not know to much about him. Colin came out the next day took a look at the situation gave us a price a bit higher then the other company, but because of his business friendly attitude we chose him. To make along story short when he started to prepare for the skimmers replacement He called my daughter and said, now that the water is down and I am getting a closer look at these skimmers let's try resealing them ,they seem pretty solid now that I can check them closer! If it doesn't work, but I think it will get you through for awhile longer at least through the summer months....If it starts to leak again let me know and I will deduct the price you are paying today from the skimmer replacement total! Who does that???? He could have just went ahead and replace both skimmers for the amount we had agreed on.... But He didn't to me that is a good business practice! So far the pool seems to be holding its own and it's been 3 days of hot weather I would be adding water again by now! Call Him if you need pool repairs! You will not be disappointed! I can add that the boys left their basketball hoop in the middle of the driveway and he took it upon himself to move it for me (no clue how I would've done it myself). While watching him do it, I quickly KNEW I would not have been able to do it AT ALL. As he was ready to leave, he believed that he had cracked the base of the hoop and apologized profusely. We told him it was no problem but he would not let it go. Instead, he moved the hoop back to a safer place and patched the hole he thought he made. He was a cool dude start to finish. read more

I found his company on Yelp by reading the all the great reviews. Called Colin on a Saturday about noon. He came out that night at 6pm and spent a couple hours doing the leak detection. He found exactly where the leak was (nowhere near any of the areas I thought it might be). He did the repair 3 days later and like "magic" no more leaks or water loss. Colin saved the day! We had an emergency leak in our irrigation system and needed a new shut off valve to disconnect the irrigation system from the main line. Although not a typical job, Colin was able to help in a pinch and was able to disconnect the irrigation system from the main line so we could have water. Responsive, thorough, honest service. Tested all pool plumbing and equipment. Needed to wait for draining pool for new plaster to test main drain under more than static pressure because water was extremely cold. Leak was small and not obvious, and didn't draw dye. Colin Marcee was terrific right from the beginning. Received a quick response to my first call, came out the next day to give an estimate. He is polite, professional and very knowledgable. While a number of pool guys told us the leak was in the skimmer, Colin brought his many detection tools and determined it is a break in some spa jets near the stairs. He dug up a small area, replaced the pipe, closed it up and re-covered the area (with the exact matching material) and the pool no longer leaks! A professional leak detection company is a MUST. I called four different companies for leak detection and all of them wanted to charge me upwards from $600-$900 for leak detection only. At that Point I was like let's just drain the pool until the finances are available. I literally had done everything I could personally. He came, on time, communication was more than five star. Nothing more frustrating than finding an empty spa each morning. My pool service, along with two other pool repair services, could not determine the cause. I was told that I needed to contact a leak detection company to do a complete inspection of my pool and spa system. I contacted Pacific Coast Leak Detection and was immediately scheduled for an appointment the following morning. Colin arrived on time and jumped right in to search for the culprit. All the testing on his first visit turned up nothing. He returned the following day and continued to test. After several hours, I felt like we were at another dead end and I was ready to move on to another company, but Colin persisted and located the cause of the 'leak'.
