The office provides good dental care, but when it comes to paper work, it leaves much to be desired. Calls or paper work go to deaf ears I am a veteran and since last year there has been miscommunication with documentation that the VA requires. I have called several times to the dental office to speak with people, but I can never reach anyone that will actually tell me that the issue has been addressed. Either they are not in, or they will get back to me later. It is frustrating to say the least so it was my reason for only the 3 stars original review Monday April 21. I hope that today someone calls me since it has been nearly one week that I been calling. We shall see. As of April 23, 2025 I emailed and called several times. The VA Care in the Community has also called and to date, no answer to me or the VA. I requested to VA to find another community care provider. I will not recommend this dentist. This is the worst dental office that I have visited. I was charged a lot of money for the work. They did not complete the work; kept saying "we cannot see you on this date, we have to postpone it for next month" After 2 years, I told them to just keep the money. They worked on the wrong tooth and broke the crown on another tooth. The staff is very rude, screamed at me when I complained about the crown that they broke. Please stay away from this place. Went for my second appointment for general cleaning. After taking about 30 x-rays (which seemed excessive, as it had only been six months after my last visit, where they also took 30 x-rays), I saw the dentist, who checked out my mouth. I expected the hygienist to come in to clean my teeth next, but instead I was told I was "good to go". I pushed back and insisted my teeth actually be cleaned (what I came for!), and was told I was "lucky" and that the dentist would be cleaning my teeth herself, like that was a huge honor. The dentist then performed a very fast and minimal cleaning that felt extremely unthorough. My first visit to this location was okay, but after this second experience I will be finding a new dentist. read more

I don't know if the name is correct but DR toosi or dentist toosi is terrible. His energy is very rude and he is not the most friendlies. he did not let the numbing cream do its job and proceeded to rush to give me a shot. After telling him he still proceeded to try and give me the shot. I got off the bed and rescheduled with the other lady dentist who is very good . again Dentist toosi is horrible and I woulnt recommend him to nobody what's so ever. read more

This place is a hidden gem! From the receptionists to the dental assistant to Dr. Sam the dentist it was a perfect experience! I was worried about getting the anesthesia shot because I don't like needles in my gums. But Dr. Sam had a gentle touch and I barely felt pressure when they removed the calcium from my roots. I must have rescheduled 3 times because my work hours are crazy but each time they moved my appointment the girl (Luca?) on the phone was pleasant and accommodating. When I arrived I was 30 minutes late (I'm still getting used to LA traffic) but they made room for me anyway. I just had to wait 20 more minutes, but that's better than having to drive all the way back to get another appointment! And I was so sleepy that the X-ray tech and dental assistant, Racquel, even made me coffee with cream and then cleaned my mouth before the dentist came. Now that's service. The only problem was the parking. There's very few spots in the mall but if you drive around the residential area you can find street parking a block away. I also paid out of pocket and found the prices reasonable--didn't break the bank. They work with you and tell you how much they'll charge and ask your permission first before doing the procedure. They also shave Spanish speaking front desk staff. Overall, definitely would come back. I'm glad I found this place. read more

I went to Pacific Dental Group in North Hollywood last Friday and was extremely impressed with all the staff. I came in contact with Lupea when I arrived. She's the first person I was greeted by and she made sure I was looked after during my entire visit. I'm no a fan of dentists however the experience was amazing. I was nervous before I arrived and left with a feeling of being satisfied beyond what I was expecting. I highly recommend having dental work done here. I'm a senior and being my age you think you know most everything. Found myself getting stressed out for nothing. After the appointment I felt the time spent at Pacific Dental was worth the drive from the west side of the city. This is one of the only reviews I've written. One of the best experiences I've had at a dentist office. They were so friendly and nice, I've never been so calm at a dentist. I have awful anxiety. They were so quick and to the point while still making sure I was comfortable and not experiencing any pain. I had to come in for an emergency tooth extraction and they made it sooooooo easy for me to just come in and get it all done and they worked w my medical insurance too. Had an appointment at a certain time they didn't call us in until 40 mins later, when we had arrived on time. A lady came in a bit after us they told her they were going to take her in 10 mins, it took them about 40 mins to call her in. Going back to our care....How long does it take the dentist to do a filling ???? It took them almost 2 hours to even start the filling process. Very horrible experience. The only reason why they are getting one star is because I have to put it. Myself, as well as my sister and her wife were ripped off here and I want you all to know. I was charged for a deep cleaning with insurance that cost me $2000. I just got one at a way more upscale dentists office for $700 with out insurance. I paid out of pocket. My sister was charged $3000 and they only did half her mouth. She said she didn't want the other half done because they had done such a horrible job. You could barely tell she had her teeth deep cleaned. My sister n law was charged $4000 she needed a bit more work done but all in all I want you all to know that you do not have to get past this much for what your teeth. I would show you my teeth so you don't think I'm some person who doesn't stay on top of their teeth cleanings but it won't let me. Good luck I how you don't get ripped off like we did. read more

When I chipped a part of my tooth on a lobster shell, I took it as a sign to also go for my first semi annual dental cleaning after COVID. Making an appointment was so easy and seamless -Lupe at the front desk was so cheerful and helpful. I was then helped by Lana , the dental assistant. She was quick, efficient, and informative. Probably got more useful dental advice from her in 15 mins then I have in all dental appointments I've had in all my life. Dr. Toossi was an absolute gem. He fixed my chipped tooth so quickly and I looked good as new. He was gentle and very professional. The cleaning was also great. I want to also mention the office was very clean and they followed all covid guidelines. Overall, I had an awesome experience and will be back in 6 months for my next cleaning. Scam artist is a tough phrase to use but super accurate here. I go in for severe tooth pain and get completely ignored by the 5 different people who saw me before the actual dentist. They take my x rays and push down on the painful part with full force no matter how many times I told them of the pain. One lady had nothing more to say other than I had small teeth(?) I get to the actual dentist and he glosses over my tooth pain and starts recommending a ton of cosmetic procedures that have literally nothing to do with my tooth pain. Whitening ain't helping anyone but your bank account man. I ask him what can be done of my pain and he goes"oh we'll just do a cleaning" I sit through the cleaning and still feel the same pain. Then they come in and ask me if I want the other procedures. I say no. I pay my massive $600 bill for a cleaning as they found a way to charge me more even with insurance. Then get a text confirming they setup appointments for the procedures I said no to. What a disaster. Switched dentists the same day. Go in to a completely different city and office and get a proper diagnosis. All he asked was "what quack sent you away after hearing of your pain?" I told him "Pacific Dental Group" Stay away, far away. read more

I have been coming to the Pacific Dental Group for about a year now and am very very HAPPY. From the moment I walk in the door to the moment I leave my experience remains pleasant. Every time that I come in the door I am welcomed sincerely by the front desk staff. My kids actually like coming to the dentist too!!!! I hate writing bad reviews but if this saves someone from having my experience it is worth it. I called on a Friday because I had a cap fall off my tooth and it needed to be re-cemented. This is generally a very quick procedure. I was told to come down and they would see me "right away." When I arrived I discovered parking is terrible. I had to park a 1/2 mile away and walk all the way down there to sit in a tiny waiting room for 45 mins filling out all kinds of lengthy "getting to know you" forms i.e. "do you like your smile?" "do you like the shape of your teeth?" even though I was clear I was just a one-time emergency patient. I should mention I was able to put the cap back on my tooth temporarily but it did pop off earlier so it did need to be re-cemented. Once I finally saw someone just to re-cement a cap on a tooth I was told they wouldn't/couldn't do it because I couldn't take it off myself easily. They wanted me to take my own cap off. They didn't even try or touch or anything. It was on me. Oh my bad, I thought you were the dentist. Apparently I have a dental degree and practice dentistry as a side hustle. SMH. Nevertheless they decided to make it worth THEIR while so they took a useless x ray so they could bill my insurance company and sent me on my way. I kid you not. It was a shameless cash grab. Went for a cleaning last week and I finally understand why people are scared to go to the dentist. (I've been going to dentists my whole life and have never had a bad experience until here.) My two main complaints were the time and pain. Time: I arrived 20 minutes early for my appointment and was still there for over two hours. (Most of which was spent waiting in various rooms.) Pain: I have NEVER had a cleaning hurt like this. I've had cleanings at other dentists that were a little unpleasant (that little pointy stick isn't fun no matter who's using it) but holy mother of God this HURT. Took everything I had to not start bawling in the chair. Whatever she was using on my teeth also hurt my ears somehow? Sounded like high pitched screeching inside my eardrum whenever the tool was near the back of my mouth. Pain Pt. 2: I looked at my mouth when I got home and there were three large purple welts inside my lip and another welt under my tongue. (They're still there, but getting smaller.) A lot of smaller red spots where it looks like I got stabbed with a needle inside my cheeks. All the staff were very nice, but unfortunately it was a godawful experience and my mouth still hurts a week later. Three thumbs down. read more

I have been avoiding the dentist for years because I was scared of the pain and high prices. My old dentist put a bunch of extra charges on my bill and (in my option definitely over charged me). But, from the moment I walked into Pacific Dental Group, the staff was nothing but warm and welcoming. I found them to be very honest and fair people and my bill wasn't outrageous. Dr. Julius is an angel! I came in on my lunch break and I got 5 cavities filled in under an hour (with no numbing and absolutely zero pain!) I couldn't believe she got all 5 done that quickly and without any pain! Made me wonder what I was so scared of in the first place. I would hands down recommend this place to anyone. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. NO RECOMIENDO ESTE LUGAR. First off this place in such an inconvenient locations. You can't find parking. Second the staff had some attitude problems. I went in for a general new patient check up and general cleaning. I got x-rays done, got talked into get two filling, and they proved to fix a small chip on my tooth (which I was very clear that I did NOT want. When I asked why they fixed the chip everyone avoided the question. No wanted to address it. Not a single apology for procedure I did not ask for. They went and put it on my billing. The doctor/dentist that did the procedure was harsh. I felt pain throughout the entire process of the fillings. The cleaning was the fastest cleaning I've ever had, it wasn't even properly done. I'm more upset that no one wanted to address the unwanted procedure and I didn't get single explanation to why or an apology for their misdoing,or miscommunication. Quite frankly I am afraid of them, but this stuff was so warm and detail oriented I cannot express enough how wonderful they are. Half my teeth are fillings and I've always had a hate relationship, no love for the dentist, but since I've had her as my dentist I don't mind coming or driving. I drive over an hour to come to my appts and it worth every minute. She's so patient, calm, kind and always tells me the truth about what she's doing, no surprises. My most recent visit (01/30/17) was less than pleasant, there seems to be a change in staff since I was there last about 7 months ago. Not only are they rude about what treatment you need, but offer no other solutions as to how to pay your bill, example: payments for each visit not up front for whole procedure they had demanded from me making my visit uncomfortable. I wanna say also I think my treatment this time around was probably a change in my insurance, I use to pay a lot more for a PPO plan thru my employer, and was treated very kindly with that PPO plan. But have now switched to an HMO plan and they were rude in explaining the limited coverage I had with this plan. Very disappointed in recommending people to come here, will not be coming back and taking my whole family elsewhere as well. read more

This place always hurts me with whatever they do. Even a regular cleaning is painful. My mouth is inflamed and sore from a regular cleaning and polish. The assistant hurt me by polishing my gums instead of the teeth. My teeth were bleeding. I'm also not sure a dental assistant should be doing that. It seems that they have dental assistants doing part of the cleanings, not a hygienist. Dr. came in for scaling. I have been keeping up with my cleanings, but was told I need another "deep" one, instead of regular. I just had a deep cleaning, by them last year. Makes me wonder if it really was deep. Dentists around here, always want to upcharge for the deep cleaning instead of regular. They call a regular cleaning "light," and a "deep" is the old regular. They try to upsell just like other dentists. $120 for a mouth rinse that insurance won't cover? Dentistry is more of a business now, rather than a medical specialty. Also, it's very dirty. Equipment looks unclean. As far as being "nice." Well, the staff is nice. read more
