I had a thorough exam and awesome experience with Dr.H. He was so sweet, and took his time explaining the condition of my teeth and what needed to happen moving forward. He was personable and gentle with the cleaning process. The assistant who took my X-rays was a sweetheart as well. My only qualm was with transparency on pricing. I would've liked to have the fact that there was an exam fee communicated when calling to make an appointment as a first time patient. I was also told the X-ray fee would be waved during this call but was presented with the charge upon payment. Communication from front desk was nonexistent when checking out as well, no acknowledgment or information about what was next at the end while she stared at the computer without saying anything after I approached. Made an appointment here to see a doctor as a first time patient they make my appointment two weeks away which is fine but they call me continuously to check on my insurance, right before the day I'm suppose to come in. I am one of those that cannot stand the dentist, maybe childhood issues, maybe nerves, pain. Had a broken root on a wisdom tooth, that kept on getting infected and making me miserable. After calling the office, they gave me a same day appointment, tried to save my tooth and ended up taking it out (due to the root that was fractured). For the extraction and failed root canal, I was given Halcion, one pill before the procedure, well I have to say, did not knock me out, but I was not grabbing the chair rests like I was going to be launched into hyperspace. So, not a pleasant experience, but my issue was taken care of, so I am grateful for that. Don't remember when was the last time I felt so good after a dental visit. Do I recommend them? I went last week and the person that helped me set up my appoint was Jess, she was so very sweet! she knew i needed anxiety medication for the procedure i was going to have and went ahead and sent the prescription over for me. I went in today to finally take out my last two teeth (Dr.Kas actually extracted my first two!) and it went so smooth and easy. they know how to keep me calm and they're great at walking you through things as they go and asking if you're okay. Found this place on yelp since I went to a private dentist before who charged me too much for one filling. They took my insurance. I got an appointment the next day. When I came in I didn't wait too long. The staff was friendly. The dental assistant took 18 X-rays of my teeth from all angles and even with a special camera to see the top of the teeth. It was a very thorough inspection I did not know existed. Then the doctor came in and she explained everything that needed to be done and created a treatment plan for which I was scheduled. The only thing I have to pay out of pocket is the laser for the deep cleaning. The fillings are covered by insurance.
