Food (5/5): We had some wonderful food here. We had the following: TSUNAMI MAKI inside * shrimp tempura, crab mix, cream cheese / outside * crab stick tempura, spicy honey mustard, sweet soy, sesame seeds (8 pcs) WAGYU MEMOIR DIP* - smoked shaved beef, crescenza cheese, horseradish aioli, french bread, fries or simple salad Both were really delicious. For some reason, I missed the the "dip" was a "French dip sandwich" - I thought tit was actually a dip (haha). We split the sandwich as it was huge, and then ended up ditching the bread and adding the beef to the fried rice, below. The online ordering website was easy to manage and schedule my order. Upon arrival, the restaurant is beautiful so I would have loved to dine in. Yellowtail Sashimi: 5/5 fresh combination of fish, citrus, and a lil heat from the jalapeño! Memoir Salad: 4/5 little more cheese than I would have preferred. But good. I added the flatiron steak which was really tasty! I almost ate it alone as it was packaged separately, well seasoned, and perfectly cooked medium. Not sure how many ounces there were. I came here for my sister's birthday brunch. We made a reservation, and would highly suggest if you have a group larger than 4. The server was great and even gave us great recommendations for beverages in the Old Market area. Beautiful furniture and an elegant feel to Memoir, making it a great "special occasion meal" location. I've been here a couple times and couldn't recommend the potato puffs appetizer enough. The fluffy and crunchy potato served with cheese that perfectly coats the puff. Delightful. The eggs Benedict was very uniquely blended together by the pickled onion and avocado, no meat, which is a neat take on eggs Benedict. Well seasoned hollandaise sauce with a perfectly poached egg. For the mocktail drinkers like myself, they have three options to choose from. One jalapeño & pineapple, a guava orange, and one other. They pay close attention to detail, from laying the plates with the name "Memoir" facing you, to cooking your meal to near perfection. We had a work event here in the private room in the back. It was nice and secluded with very attentive staff. Overall the ambiance of the restaurant itself is elegant. Very popular, even on weeknights. We had a special pre-set menu for our event. Everything was delicious. I had the Parmesan potato poppers with aioli for the starter, which was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The chicken tortilla soup was also tasty. For the main entree, I had the pan seared trout, which was cooked perfectly with crispy skin and tender meat. I did wish there was more pesto sauce though. The chocolate torte dessert was so rich and comforting. It can with a nice contrast of cold ice cream and tart berry jam. Memoir, in the downtown area of Omaha, is an absolute VIBE. You will want to bring your camera with you, even if you're not normally a food photog, because the ambiance and food are made for the perfect pics! My husband and I first visited Memoir for our anniversary, and it was such an awesome experience, especially for a special occasion like that. After we were done doing all of our (admittedly annoying) photography of the awesome ambiance, we finally sat down to order and eat - and the original amazingness didn't stop there! The menu is not gigantic, which I always appreciate - because I get overwhelmed by too many choices. We picked a few things to share, at the recommendation of our server (who was also amazing and made sure we had a great anniversary dinner). They even gave us a card signed by the staff wishing us a great anniversary! Those little extra touches are what really make a dining experience special. We had the Kale and Bacon Dip for an appetizer, which was DECADENTLY delicious. The dip was smooth and silky with a toasty focaccia which went really well together with the two different textures. And we also grabbed the Pork Potstickers, and my oh my, were those fantastic. Delicate potsticker wrapper, with tons of filling, resting in a carrot-ginger dressing that complemented the potsticker fantastically. We were already so pleased, and didn't believe the entrees could top the starters, but they were just as awesome, which should be no surprise. It was easier to share two entrees, because we couldn't decide between two. Our first entree was the Faroe Island Salmon, and it was cooked to perfection, and served atop an indulgent bed of sweet corn risotto that I still dreeeeam about. And our second entree was the Rigatoni Alla Vodka, which was a little lighter of a meal, so was great paired with the salmon dish which was a tad heavier. I would recommend either of these dishes! We were SO full at this point but we knew we had to get a dessert since this was a special occasion. We shared the chocolate torte and devoured it, even with our extreme fullness. It was so fluffy and chocolatey and DELISH. From start to finish, this was one of the best meals I've had in Omaha. The service was on point, the eats were out of this world, and the vibe of the interior is something to behold. Scrumptious food, great staff, kid friendly, and overall such a fancy vibe! Our waitress was so great with our daughter that I had to start my review with praising how fun she was! She played peek-a-boo and just emailed at her so often throughout our stay. Our daughter loved our waitress! The food was as delicious as it looks in the photos! I swear we ate the appetizer in less than a minute. I split the Filet Mignon so the portion is a half in the photo. Such a perfect size especially if you want to indulge in appetizers and dessert! We popped in for a lunch with a reservation (check out open table). The service was really not what it normally is. We sat for almost 20 minutes before having to ask for a waiter. The food was slow. Other tables were getting served right next to us. We are normally pretty quick to order and eat but this lunch turned into an hours long endeavor. The kale & farro salad was delicious!!!! The pesto pasta was okay but pretty small for the price. My husband really really enjoyed the risotto salad (Faroe Island Salmon). Had a lovely time at Memoir, our server Chris was great and very knowledgeable on the menu and drinks. Bonus he looks quite like Jeffrey Wright from West World and various other things. My wife started with a spicy corn margarita. It was quite tasty and had that warm the back of the throat kick at the end. We split two sushi rolls, the kensai maki and spicy tuna maki. Both had great flavor and tasted fresh. The spicy tuna definitely has a kick of wasabi which I enjoyed. We then split the rigatoni alla vodka. They split it in our two bowls so my picture looks small but that's a half portion. Flavor was awesome, olive oil and fresh ricotta to die for, scraped all the extra sauce out of both our bowls. The vibes are great and very comfortable chairs. Perfect date night spot. We hit it up before a show at the Orpheum. Definitely will be back. read more

Add multiple droppers to upgrade the prosecco in the best way possible. I would've never tried the elderflower but our server nailed it with her recommendation...YUMMMMIE! Stopped by memoir during a trip to Omaha on a solo dinner. You can tell when a restaurant takes care of you during a solo dinner that they are great!! I started with the yellowtail sashimi which was fresh and the perfect starter. My entree was the Pyro Cheeseburger and was a great size, had flavor and really satisfied my cravings!! This is a review of the lunch menu. I had the chicken sandwich. It was good, but couldn't top the charcoal chicken that is served at dinner. The Parmesan and pepper salad dressing was great on the side salad. My beautiful date had the salmon and risotto. She loved it and she gave me a taste. Agree! We split the cheesecake and it was fabulous. The coffee was delicious. The service is superb. Our waitress (from PA) was able to track down the coffee vendor for me. When foodies break away from the group, and meet up with other foodie folks... good conversation and memories happen! Met up with about 9 other folks for our 4:30 reservation, and INDULGED. The ladies side of the table stuck to the appetizers (hence really only appetizer pictures!) where as the men's table, definitely stuck with the entrees (therefore, zero pics!). The ladies and I shared their Creamed Kale & Bacon Dip, a few California Rolls, their Potstickers, Foccacia and Whipped Ricotta, as well as their Tsunami Roll (very similar to Blue's Tidal Wave if you're familiar!), some Memoir Fries with a spicy jalepeno aioli, and their Beet Salad. Topped it off with their Corn Margarita, which was excellent - think sweet corn folks, sweet corn. That Filet Mignon, looked DELISH with a rare presentation. I "heard" their Salmon was excellent from the other end of the table. My hubs, had their Charcoal Chicken and said it was great! I love a moody, dark, and hustling restaurant and Memoir is JUST that! For a half beat I forgot I was in congested downtown Omaha, and transported to the windy city. When the GM learned there was a table of foodies, he quickly made his way over to check in and take the temp of how the food, drinks and atmosphere were which I appreciated and stopped often to make sure all was to our satisfaction. Another amazing brunch at Memoir! I got the breakfast sandwich for the first time, and this was a great meal, especially for the $12 price point! The hash brown was my favorite-- very crispy, and hot, despite eating at the end of my meal. The sandwich was good, although the sausage patty could've been bigger in my opinion. The flavor of the sauce was great, and the egg was cooked perfect perfectly for a runny yolk! We also enjoyed the fruits as a starter, and my friends loved the mimosa bottle that came with syrups to flavor on your own. This was a great experience! The service here was astounding, our server did a perfect job of checking on us often, and helping as needed since we had a baby at the table. As always, the aesthetic here is unmatched! Overall not a place I plan to return. The restaurant was pretty dead when we went for lunch, but the service was super slow. It took a very long time to have our order taken, then even longer to get food. When I got my pasta, the temperature was pretty uneven, with really hot spots and really room temp/ cold spots. I'm kind of assuming it sat under a heat lamp or something for a while. We finished eating and our server was nowhere to be found for a pretty long time. Nobody came by for the traditional "how did everything come out", or at least not that I remember. After waiting what felt like an eternity for the sever to come back to get the check, I just went to the bar to pay. The food tasted good, so I guess just plan to spend a very long time there if you want to eat there. read more

Memoir never disappoints with exception of host staff could be friendlier and more welcoming. Wait staff and food are very good. My favorite dish is the tuna chop salad. Memoir is a beautiful little hidden away spot in downtown Omaha that is a perfect place for Sunday brunch or a nice evening meal. There was a decent amount of seating in the restaurant and around the bar, with an open kitchen to watch them prepare your meal. The staff were extremely helpful when discussing the menu, and went over everything on the menu that could be made gluten free (which was most of the menu). They came around frequently to check on us and filled our champagne glasses for us, which was a nice touch. The frites were incredible and very crispy. The salad was good, but overall just ok for me. The flavors were all wonderful and fresh, and the vinaigrette helped balance the entire salad. I just was underwhelmed by it, and just felt one note to me. It may be because all the "fun" ingredients had to be taken off due to me having to make it gluten free. Another great night at Memoir! We just love the vibe, the food, and the great service. Tonight we were seated by the window and it was dreamy to look out on all of the Christmas lights downtown. We got a few of the Happy Hour options to start (can't go wrong with any of the sushi choices!) and then split the Charcoal Chicken. I thought it would include Brussel sprouts but misunderstood that the Brussels were shredded and just a part of the sauce. Visited Omaha for a few days and tried to walk in on a Tuesday and the wait was 45 mins so highly recommend a reservation. We made a reservation for the following day on a Wednesday, and our experience was top notch. We were seated in a cozy booth that had a view of the whole restaurant. Love the art deco aesthetic. The filet mignon and prime rib french dip were delicious. The berries and mint panna cotta was light and refreshing. I would skip on the grilled focaccia. Service was A+.
