So I walked to go in and the door was locked. I went back to my car to sit down because I use a walker. Other people came to the door and they opened it. They called me to express that it was important that I arrive on time. When checked in at 9am no one told me they were behind schedule. After waiting until 9:20 am a young lady came other to get me. So I asked why her why wasn't I called at my scheduled time. The response wasn't what I expected since the other people were allowed in before 9am. So when asked why they were allowed in before 9am. I was told they had a 8:45am appointment. If my memory serves me correctly the office doesn't open until 9am. This why of customer service and favoritism is unprofessional.

They recently moved to a new location, which is much smaller and tends to feel more crowded and congested, especially during busy hours. They've also had a lot of staff changes over time. On my last visit, I didn't recognize anyone, which was a bit disappointing because I used to really appreciate the familiar faces and the relationships we built over the years. There aren't as many glasses options anymore, especially when it comes to name-brand frames, and the turnaround time for glasses seems longer than it used to be. That said, they still move through appointments quickly and get you in and out. It's not quite the same experience I remember, but I still appreciate the years of service and hope it improves with time.

My husband and I decided to leave because this is an unacceptable amount of time to wait. I decided to give them another chance because my husband's company is changing insurance and I wanted to have my eyes examined before the change. My appointment was at 12:00. When I arrived there were FIVE people waiting ahead of me in the waiting room. I was given some papers to fill out and asked to have a seat OUTSIDE. What?????? IT'S THE MIDDLE OF FEBRUARY. IT'S FRICKIN' COLD OUTSIDE!!!!! If someone has to wait outside it should be one of the five visible employees inside the office. Give them a laptop and send them out. They're the ones responsible for overbooking, not me. I asked how long the wait was going to be. I was told at least 30 minutes. Again, unacceptable. Again, I left without being seen. As a sidenote: I was notified three separate times with a request to confirm my appointment (which I did after the first notification). But no call to let me know they were running late. I had to juggle my schedule around to make time in the middle of the day to come to this appointment. The least they could do is be on time. I doubt that there are many emergencies that would account for the amount of time they run behind. ONLY GO TO THIS OPTOMETRIST IF YOU HAVE PLENTY OF TIME AND PATIENCE TO BURN!!!!!!

The person who answered the phone told me that they were a new office and that I'm looking for the Eye Shoppe. She told me to call a number which in fact is the Eye Shoppe in Victorville. I do not go to the office in Victorville and I'm beyond confused regarding false information. Dr Lee at the AV office has been my eye Optometrist for years. I drove by the office and the sign is still the same. I looked online and the AV office is still the Eye Shoppe with Dr. Lee.. It's very important I have glasses for work and I'm very upset with the level of unprofessionalism I receive from the front office staff. I do not recommend this place anymore. This is not the first time I was told false information, the last time was regarding the time my insurance covers for my lenses and glasses... I just called back to confirm what the girl told me and another girl answered with laughing in the background and she put me on hold (I am aware my number shows on the phone.) He is on social security disability and lives pay check to pay check the optometrist that helped us was every pushy to get his eye examination done because he was her last patient. I think its ethically wrong for a business to know he has this corneal edema that isnt stable (obviously because the prescription changes a significant amount every year) and not advise him agent getting glasses and spend his money just to take it he spent over 400 this past set on glasses for all the lenses comforts for disappointment because he can't wear them. We would have gone back sooner about this matter but I had to do a little more digging and advocating to see more what corneal edema was all about. They advise you ain't getting prescription glasses till you have had lest two consecutive optometrist visits of no change in your prescription to get prescription glasses.

Buena Vista Eye Care-Adelanto…read more March 2025. The day following this exam began with not one thing going according to what I was informed would be the timeline. I waited the amount of time I was given then I called for an update then week of the 24th. I was told the lab was checking the quality of the lens. At this time, I had one and a half weeks until I was leaving the state again. I called later in the week and was given the same exact reason. The following week and with seven days remaining, I decided to go to Buena Vista Eye Care and inquire in person. I was again, given the same exact reason and I wondered if there was a sign hanging in the back area with this one response to be given to customers when and if they asked. At this point it was past the number of days I was told they would be ready and with my departure day at hand, I quite frankly told the gal that I was being screwed over. At the least, she could have called the lab for an actual update, but she didn't. I left on my trip without the new prescription I was promised and had to drive literally more than 3,727 miles (round trip) without decent glasses. However, I did receive a message while on the road that the glasses were ready. When I returned, I went to pick up the glasses and they were nice but I did question the obvious bi-focal lines. I spoke with the manager who finally explained why the delays; it was due to my insurance. Okay, if I had been told at the onset I would have had a different mindset. If the assistant had checked the insurance I would not have received erroneous information. I thanked her for the explanation and left. I tried the glasses at home in more detail and wasn't happy because at the inside area of both lenses were literally grind marks! I called, explained and was told to come in anytime and we would see what "might" be available as a remedy. I decided I did not have the time or energy for more of the same. I was again preparing to leave in a few weeks. Disillusioned, I drove to the store, placed them on the counter in front of the gal and told her that I would never wear these and to give them to someone else! "Really?" was the only response. I replied yes then left the store. This was a rotten experience that has truly left a foul taste in my mouth. I hope no one else has to suffer through this treatment and if so, leave your review to inform others of your experiences.

They were able to squeeze us in, but it meant a longer wait because it was essentially double booked. The Dr was polite but didn't explain much. Even when asking questions about the process or prescription he wasn't very clear or direct. Picking out glasses was easy, staff were polite and helpful. I was a little surprised that they let us place the glasses back on the shelf after trying them on. The other place I go to would have you put them in a container so that they could sanitize them before putting them back. Glasses came when they said that they would and they were easy to pick up. They didn't offer any discounts or specials for buying things 100% out of pocket which would be nice. We'll come back here because of the insurance, but it's not my favorite eye place.
