I purchased hearing aids about 10 months ago. Having diminishing hearing in one ear over the past several weeks. Thinking the device needed recalibration. After initial consultation an appointment was made for me with Jason Johnson at the Bend office. Jason was attentive and concerned about the rapid decrease in my hearing. Had an excellent testing session with Dr. Woody. She could have tried to sell me on hearing aids but did not. I will be back in a few years for more testing and maybe by then be ready for hearing aids - did you know that not wearing hearing aids as you get older, if you have cognitive decline, can make dementia worse? I've never had hearing aids before. I was very-pleased to get an appointment here within days of my initial call. In comparison, repeated messages left with Costco Hearing went unreturned; in-person at Costco, I learned that they were taking appointments for two months later. PNW Audiology offer a premium experience in a sophisticated, professional, and warm environment. I don't feel like just-another anonymous face on the conveyor belt. It works essentially like a concierge model, where a single fee covers everything for a 3-year period: all exams, follow-up visits, hearing aid maintenance (ie. firmware updates) and re-calibrations, and the hearing aids themselves. UPDATE: The three year contract covers all subsequent services *after* the initial hearing tests. They administer 3 sets of tests: an audiometry threshold evaluation and speech recognition test, a tympanometry test, and a speech-in-noise test. These were partially covered by my benefits and I was responsible for the balance. My audiologist, Dr. Winkler, is thorough and patient-focussed. As an engineer and technologist myself, I was pleased by her ability and willingness to discuss more-technical and geeky aspects of my hearing abilities, outlook, tuning, as well as my HAs (I opted for the Oticon More 3s). Dr Amy Winkler listens deeply, answers thoroughly, and checks your understanding of her responses. I've only had the aids for a month but the Oticon Real are comfortable, handle phone calls easily and clearly and have survived quick, careless exposures to the shower. So far, PNW Audiology is a good choice with Dr Winkler, in particular. read more

It was easy and reasonable to get an appointment. Office team is kind and professional. My visit with Dr Woody was thorough, professional and educational. After testing Dr Woody took the time to explain in detail and answer all my questions. I didn't feel pushed into any decisions or pushed into tests and product to meet a $quota. I felt it was truly about my concerns and they were professionally dealt with. I even had a phone call from Dr Woody herself after my visit to answer possible questions. Hubby made our appointments due to doing there online hearing test. What was expected we both had a moderate hearing loss. Christy ( awesome) the front office lady had told us there booked out but my hubby explained our insurance was changing on Oct. 1st. She was able to squeeze us both in before then. We both saw Dr. Woody for the hearing test and she was amazing. Then we get in to go back to try the hearing aids we were going to purchase and I had Dr. Winkler. Who also was amazing and great at explaining everything. My husband saw Dr. Woody for the hearing aid fitting and he said she was awesome too. From the time we walked in both times and left we had nothing but amazing service. Highly recommend this office. read more

We were really happy here at first, as you can see in my original review. Dr. Li is fantastic, and her staff are absolutely wonderful...for as long as they last. In the 3 years we were at the practice (visiting every 3 months or so to get new ear molds for the growing kiddo), there has been an alarming turnover rate in the staff. Not only was this difficult for my kid to see a new doctor or tech practically every time we visited, it meant that the continuity with the front office staff was not there. We couldn't build relationships; the new person wouldn't know our history or my kid's special needs. I hung in there, because I really did like working with Dr. Li, and she hires super quality people every time. However, the final straw was when my kid got all-new tech (going from pediatric hearing aids to full-fledged bluetooth enabled aids). In the first few days we had them, the bluetooth was malfunctioning and made the hearing aids nearly unusable. I called the office to find a good time to come in and get them adjusted or checked, and the scheduler said, "We don't have any other audiologists here but Dr. Li, and she's booked out for two weeks." I was outraged! My kid couldn't even hear her teachers at school! The idea that an audiology practice would suggest that she just go without being able to *hear* for TWO WEEKS was completely unacceptable. I pushed back and scheduler argued that she wouldn't be able to get a note to Dr. Li until end of day because she had back to back appointments. I don't know if it's Dr. Li's rule that no one talk to her when she's working, or if this scheduler was just afraid of her. I didn't bother trying to find out. I hung up, made a call to Central Oregon ENT, and switched practices immediately upon being offered an emergency consult within the next two hours. To their credit, PNW Audiology called me back later that afternoon and offered an after-hours appointment. But we had already gotten things taken care of elsewhere and declined. Happy ending: Today, we were delighted to discover that Central Oregon ENT's audiology department just hired our favorite audiologist from PNW Audiology. We finally have the consistency and service we need! read more

Having met Dr. Li initially at the Bend Outdoor Home Tour (late September, 2013) we were impressed with her degree of understanding, education and professional acumen. My initial consultation only further confirmed that at my later appointment. At the end of a day (5:30) she took as long as was needed to properly and completely explain my unusual circumstance and results from my hearing test (complimentary, by the way). She went into depth as to what my options were and provided coherent and concise solutions. This was a dramatic departure from my previous experience at Central Oregon ENT, where they did not contact me at all to go over the extensive results of their hearing test (which I paid about $200 for). Needless to say, I am so far very impressed by not only the bedside manner of Dr. Li but the overall professionalism of her, as well as her wonderful receptionist, Stephanie, who also was not only very competent, concise and thorough, but delightfully entertaining to my wife and I as well. We both look forward to our future interactions with Dr. Li and her office. Highly recommended. UPDATE (12/30/13): Again, only the best kudos to Dr. Li-Korotky and Stephanie. I did want to say I have been less than impressed by the new product, Lyric hearing aids. I really feel after trying two versions (original and updated one) that these have the potential to be great, and even a game-changer. However, they are definitely IMHO a "work in progress" and pretty fragile. I look forward to finishing my trial and perhaps using them in ONE ear to facilitate my hearing, despite them being a bit pricey. read more

If I could go higher than 5 stars for this review I would do so. When my Lyric hearing aid died while I was visiting Bend, OR fortunately I found dr. Li. Since I was not her regular patient, she was not obligated to do anything but replace the device and send me on my way. However that is not how dr. Li operates. She was thorough and caring and provided service above and beyond what I expected. Additionally she is an M.D. as well as an audiologist, so she was able to take care of related issues as well. If we didn't live so far away, I would definitely choose to come here for my hearing issues. Dr. Li loves what she does and it shows!!! read more
