Only buy from here if you are in an emergency. They are over priced and will charge you a 15% restocking fee if you return anything. Often when doing an installation job an integrator will buy a little more then needed for things like connectors , adaptors and cables because it's better to be safe then not have enough of the job. The extra needs to be returned if not used. I understand not returning cut cables but in unopened box of RJ45 connectors ? Come on. This place will smack you with a 15% charge even if the items are unopened and returned in a short time frame. They also expensive . I paid $91 plus tax for a crimper that's $77 on Amazon and many other sights. Here's a picture of $27 restock free for returning a crimper I and some RJ45 connectors that were unopened. It is 5/30/2024 I have been a customer for 40 years plus, Way back when they were on Cahuenga in Hollywood. The business has been sold. It is in a new location since 2019 I am told. I placed an order. Told it would be a week, Been 2 weeks and no follow up. They cant deliver and I cancelled the order, It appears their vendor has not been paid, Clearly Pacific has financial trouble now but evasive about it. The new owners don't appear to have the integrity the original owners had and don't value a customer of 40 years. F these guys I'll go elsewhere and it is a shame as it once was a great place to buy parts. read more

Not accepting returns during Covid to "limit contact" is an absolute crock. Be honest, admit it's because you either don't want to deal with the hassle or (more likely) because you don't want to incur the financial expense. When you really need an expert to help you with anything audio this is the place. Wires, cables, HDMI galore. Don't get frustrated by going to Radio Shack or Best Buy. When Fry's doesn't have it cheap across the street--or you need it in bulk, the Pac Radio store in Burbank is a good place to try. I've used both the Burbank and La Brea Pacific Radio stores to buy last minute crap as well as special order stuff. Usually the staff is very helpful and I've found the Burbank staff to be a bit more knowledgeable across the board. Again, they aren't the cheapest, that's for sure--and watch out for their No Refund policy (credit or exchange only). However they're a lifesaver when shit goes wrong and you've got to replace something pronto. Their main thing is wiring, adapters, tools and audio stuff, but they have a good deal of video and computer stuff as well. read more

Horrible customer service. Guess it's my fault I should have read the reviews first. They have good prices and selection but if you buy something thinking it's right and it ends up not, only store credit is available. They didn't have what I wanted so now I'm stuck. An opened package mean you can't return it and a 20% restocking fee on returns for store credit? Dumb. On top of that, the store credit expires! So if you don't spend it in time they keep their product and your money. In this day and age when the internet is putting so many places out of business small companies better watch out. They should be doing everything they can to help their customer and keeping them in the door even if it means giving cash back for a cash paid for product. Weird concept right? That would mean all the difference. It would mean I would still go the store next time I needed something. Not going to this store again. With amazon and eBay you can find anything you want and almost everyone in the world takes returns. My fault for not reading the return policy first. I've been a customer for 6 years and have had mixed experiences with this business. My past 3 orders have been a nightmare though. Communicating with the sales department via phone and email is a nightmare. Honestly there's no point in even emailing these people since they won't respond. Several times ordering custom cable builds online I've gotten no response and weeks go by without my cables being built or even a response on email. They are sooooooooo slowwwwwwww. My last experience was the tipping point with me. I ordered some cables, waited a week with no response and called to check in. They sounded like they didn't even know i had an order, then tell me "oh the parts are out of stock". No call no email letting me know this. I was told I would get a call the next day to change my order, call never comes. I call the following monday to redue my order only to be greeted by a man who was impatient as hell and rude as if he wanted to get off the phone because he was going to shit his pants. Good selection, fair prices. BUT total dicks about returns. If you change your mind 10 seconds after they have your money, they will charge you a restocking fee. And if it takes a few months until you test unused cables, in the original package, and discover that they are defective, they would rather keep your money and give you no options. Their prices just beating (most of the time)the extra shipping charges plus the cost of the item online suppliers charge. I used to love shopping here but yesterday was my last day. After making my way around the store Salesman always asking if I need help,I was getting some Neutrik connectors and some alpha wire I went to check out. After all these salmon trying to help me out no-one was available and after standing there for about 10 minutes waiting for the 2 people on their desks to look up I was about to just leave my stuff and go. Then when I was about to leave one of the gentlemen at his desk talked down to his staff infronnt of me and 2 other customers. It made it very awkward and it seemed like there was nothing to be mad about. Customers were waiting to buy products but instead they had to belittle there employees. THIEVES !!!! I bought a 1/4 inch trs patchbay from them last week on a Friday, while wiring up a studio. The patchbay was/is broken. The trs cables won't go into the holes on the patchbay. It's not their fault the patch bay is broken, but it is their responsibility to return it. I didn't want my money back, I just wanted an exchange for store credit (they are closed over the weekend so I had to buy another patchbay at another store). I was going to get a couple cables with the trade in. Even though their return policy clearly states that within 30 days you can return an item they would not take it back. I spent over $1000 in the last week there and was still treated this way. It really sucks because it's a great store for all things wiring and electronics, but as we all know sometimes things come from the factory broken and if you buy something from these guys you are taking a HUGE risk that it is working. They literally stole $100 from me by not returning the broken item they sold me. I will be filling a report with consumer affairs!! Seriously unless you want to get ripped off don't shop here !! Go to ametron in Hollywood instead. They aren't thieves there. read more

Wow, this place just keeps getting worse. Needed a cable custom made. Left it with sales person. He did not give me a work order?? Just told me to right my number down and he would be in touch. Called him 4 hours after no contact. He said he needs to get approval from manager to make the cable and then talk with the cable maker (there is only one???) to see even if they are going to be able to make the cable. There is something really wrong with this system. As a customer i should be able to know when i walk into this place whether or not they can make the cable. Also, manager approval?? and management is still not there 4 hours later??? I along with other engineers avoid this place because they do not have it together. I gave them one more chance and I am sad i did. This will be last. There is also the strange fact that the Hollywood Store does not make cables only Burbank. read more
