Dan is the best. We called him Nov 2019 after a 150' pine tree fell on our house during the bomb cyclone. Dan was the only one gutsy enough and with access to a big enough crane to accept the job. He got the tree off the house in a day, after we tried to get another arborist out for over a week. He's now our first call anytime we have tree issues or concerns. Since, we've had him back to take down trees, clean up our property and mitigate the risk of any future tree strikes. He's incredibly knowledgeable about trees and potential issues they might have. Last time he was out, he took down and/or cleaned up 14 trees for us. He and his team work hard, are efficient and experts at their craft. They dropped a 100' pine perfectly between two obstacles and left our property clean with wood neatly stacked where we requested. He's also beat competing bids each time, providing great value. Dan and the crew just got done taking down 8 giant trees in my backyard and they did everything Dan said they were going to do. We got a few bids for this project and their's was very competitive. However, the difference was that Dan had arranged a component of the deal where we could sell our firs to a mill which would essentially get us back some of the expense it cost to have these trees removed. Dan set this deal up himself with the logging truck driver and the mill. The driver assessed this morning when he took the trees that we'd get over $1000 back for them. The Pacific Rim Tree Service crew was very skilled, courteous, and extremely efficient. They started right on time at 8AM Monday and by 10:30 AM Tuesday, they had sent all my trees off on the logging truck, cleaned the yard, and bucked all the remaining wood for firewood that appears will be more than a cord. I do business with a lot of people both for my job and personally. There is nothing more important to me than someone delivering on what they say they are going to do and for the price they quoted. Pacific Rim Tree Service charged me exactly what it said on the quote sitting on my counter from 3 weeks before. We had a couple Big Leaf Maples which needed to have branches trimmed off, one was very difficult because it is situated on a steep hill next to the garden windows on our home. Dan was great, he listen to our concerns, discussed how he would do it, showing great concern in doing it safely for both our property and himself and his assistant. Dan and his team did an exceptional job from the original estimate through completion of work on 11/15 2018. I called for a bid, and Dan came out the next day. He handed me the completed estimate at the end of our appointment with a detail of work to be done and pricing. I contacted three other companies for bids; not only did they take longer, but they also were considerably more expensive. Of the four contractors, Dan and his team where the most responsive, appeared the most knowledgeable, and had excellent communication throughout the process. The scope of my project was about 30 trees, and the team took 2 days to complete all the work. On both days they arrived on time, and finished the portion of work quickly and efficiently. I feel so fortunate to have found Pacific Rim Tree Service in December 2014. They were very thorough, knowledgable and honest in their evaluation and estimate. Two of them looked at all the trees right up close and determined the status of each (one outfit I had just stood from a distance and counted the trees and gave an inflated estimate).
