Felt the magnetic pull of the donut even though we weren't hungry. Cute lil truck next to the river with friendly service. We opted for a 6 pack, just so we could try a few different bites. Unfortunately ours didn't look the prettiest since they were served up so hot, but you can't complain too much about that! The little bites were soft and pillowy, and thankfully none of our selections were overly sweet. You have to appreciate fresh donuts! I wanted to try the coffee too, as I'm a decaf drinker who searches for water/sugarcane processed beans...which theirs was. Get there early so you can get some of the delicious donuts. they have been in business about two years and the woman who is at the counter, with the prettiest blue eyes, is the master chef. Love at first bite. I've had made to order mini donuts before, and they're tasty mostly because they are warm. There's something truly special about these donuts though. They taste delicious even when they're not warm. The donut is cakey, but still light. And all the flavors are so delicious. I visited in August, and the seasonal flavor was lemon blueberry. It was my favorite with the blueberry jam and lemon icing drizzled on top. I'm not embarrassed to admit that I went back the very next day to enjoy more donuts. Found this hidden food truck by chance and its absolutely amazing! The mini donuts are fresh and the different flavors are soo good! You can mix and match different ones together and pair it with a coffee or some hot chocolate. Reminded me of the fresh donut stands back home in England by the beaches, so fresh and so good!! My daughter and I stopped by for some fish and chips on our way back from a coast vacation late spring. As we were sitting down, a young woman with a beaming beautiful smile came up the steps and said, "I just baked up a test batch of doughnuts, would you like to try some?". That generous gesture started a conversation, and we learned that the next day was to be their opening day. The mini cake doughnuts were delicious. I have always been partial to cake doughnuts, and they are the only ones I will make at home. A little crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and way better texture and body than yeast ones, just imho. There were several flavors, the local honey and sea salt stood out for me. The owner is super sweet and was working in the food truck both times we came to get doughnuts (yes we went twice, they were that good). The view is absolutely amazing! The donuts were tasty. It is a bit difficult to find the place. You have to parallel park, then walk towards a sign that says "riverside n chips." In the same food court area as Riverside n Chips, there's the donut shop. It's hidden but is a super trendy looking food truck. The river view was such a treat on top of the donuts. My favorite flavor is the seasonal (berry rhubarb). It was just perfect. Not too overpowering at all in flavor or texture. I really liked the Nutella one too.
