I came for a pickup. However the pickup is not in the front of the store near customer service. It is in the back. I waited in line to be told that the pickups are not part of customer service but in the back. Went to the back. Didn't see anyone manning the pick up station. Had to ring the bell and wait more time for someone to come out. Eventually a staff came out apologize for me having to wait in line and then got my item. Staff was friendly. Not a big deal but the type of customer service you get at Walmart is not up to par with other stores, like target Best Buy etc read more

I visited Walmart today taking my birds out running errands with me, Cosmo and Maui and we wanted to buy some plants. After arriving inside the store and finding no carts, which we probably would've needed to I went straight back to the garden to see if they had a flatbed or something I could use to purchase plants with. The associates were absolutely amazing and gave me a cool little double layer flatbed to get my plants loaded on. They had a great selection. All of the plants were in great shape. I didn't see any dead leaves on any of them like other stores I shopped at earlier. I can tell they really care about the plants that they are selling. I found several Cosmo and Maui enjoyed the shopping experience just as much as I did. Every time I take them out, they do these gestures with their wings and chirp when they are super excited every time I put another plant on the cart they did that. I highly recommend all of the plants that they provide definitely high-quality and well taken care of . Thank you to the two garden associates who helped me with the flatbed cart that I needed to get the plants today. I can't wait to get them planted. You guys rock keep it up. Great experience, overall at Walmart, 1720 E Main St, Woodland, CA. Auto checking; the counter service wasn't good, but a store employee came by and tried to help me. Guy in charge there didn't want to help, but I persevered. Another auto service employee heard my issue, and directed me to bring my car around. The guys on the ground took care of my minimal issues; a head light that I brought in for installation, and a wind shield wiper that I also brought in for installation. They were friendly, care taking, couldn't ask for a better experience. Also in the store that day, I was looking for tape. Asked an employee working on the floor, where could I find this? He asked me - what kind of tape? Packing or silver duct tape, so that I wasn't serching all over for it. He directed me to 2 areas nearby to each other, to look. I went there and found selections. Chose the tape that I wanted and was ready to go. Went out into the isle to see if he was still there - yep he was - walking toward my diretion. Held up my ring of tape. He gave me a thumbs up, and went back to his work. Honestly, all of the Underlying customer service here was fantastic, every thing that you would want. read more

Don't get your auto service here is you want to get it done right. I specifically asked for a specific type of oil from a specific brand to be put in my car and they told me that it could be done when I went to look at the receipt after the oil was changed. It was totally different brand and not the right oil that I asked for. I asked to speak to a manager and he said that we couldn't put in the oil that you asked for because that's not what the cap said however, when my vehicle was registered, I was told that I requested could be done. I'm not mad that they could not fulfill my request. I'm mad that they told me that they could and did not and I wouldn't have known it If I didn't read the receipt their employees should be trained a little better than that. I don't really like going to Walmart (too crowded for my taste) but this store was the only store in Woodland that had the item I was looking for. I was looking for almond flour tortilla. It's really hard to find this in the stores since it may be in a special aisle or along with other tortillas. I asked Sonia and she gladly helped me. She was patient, professional and very pleasant. I give her an A+++ for customer service. As I checked out, I was greeted by a friendly smile from the cashier. She was from India but did not get her name. She was patient and very professional. July 30, 2025 I am writing a review about the Walmart - East Main pet food area, especially the canned cat food. I buy a lot of cat food because of the strays that people dump. I usually buy cases of 24 Fancy Feast pate. I also divide an open case into 12 of a flavor. I purchase 2 - 5 cases at a time. Walmart cuts one end off the open case which makes the box flimsy and not good for storing. The area is also a mess and the flavors are minimal. The last 3 times I have been there this month - July - there has been rat feces in many of the open boxes, so disgusting. The area smelled because of a rotten can that was in one of the boxes. Who ever is in charge of stocking this area needs to take more initiative in their work. Where is the supervisor to inspect this area? Part of the problem regarding variety is that a checker sometimes runs a combination case as one flavor instead of what exactly is in the case. So the store inventory is not accurate. I would like to see this area better stocked with out dealing with the uncleanliness. The Gibson Walmart is better stocked now that it has been revamped. read more

The pickup order UX app is awful, but the employees at this location were so nice and helpful, and Jonathan was super sweet and conversational and helped me out when I was totally lost trying to get my order, and he walked me to the pickup section in the back and also helped walk me back out to the store. No matter how many lines they have open, you're guaranteed at least a 15 minute wait whether you are standing in a 2 person line at the self-checkout or a 10 person line at a single struggling cashier. Be sure to check to make sure you have all your items before you leave! Customer service is impossible to reach. I went here with my family because we were in the area and we stopped in to get some items, including some ammunition which this store sells. The layout is kind of odd, with a lot of the grocery items in the middle of the store, unfortunately they do not have any fresh produce so that was disappointing but we got most of the items we needed. The annoying part of this whole visit was that when we got home and unpacked everything, we realized that we were missing a box of ammo. We purchased a box of 100 shells and inside the box was only 3 boxes, so someone had obviously removed a box. Unfortunately we live in Sacramento and it wasn't like we could just come back there. It was near impossible to get ahold of customer service and I spend so much time trying to reach someone by phone. After speaking to customer service associates from two other stores they advised that I could only go back to Woodland to get the missing box, no refunds on ammo of course. We decided it wasn't worth it and will be sure to avoid this Walmart at all possible. Like I previously mentioned, check your stuff before you leave. Lesson learned. read more

It's walmart so there isn't a real expectations of good customer service. Right now, they are redoing the floor. So everything has been moved around. Of course there isn't an employee around to help. Most are standing around talking to each other and trying to avoid eye contact with guest. When I went to the store on Wednesday needing to return some items. There was only one person working the return counter and about six people in line. Another cashier came up to help but after helping one customer she left the counter. I stood in line for about fifteen minutes before I was finally able to return an item. While standing in line I noticed that only one check stand was open out of fourteen. Everyone else went to the self check out. They are doing a remodel especially in the electronic department. It's starting to look like Best Buy, kinda classy, but then again its Walmart so I doubt it will last long. Also if you need to buy a charger or any kind of accessory for the phones, its all under lock and key. You have to wait for an employee to come and answer the page. They are also changing the makeup department. It looks like sometime soon, they will make it so that you have to purchase all of your makeup items in that department. That we will no longer be able to make all of our purchases at the front check in. Since they have installed self check out, they now inspect your items before you can leave the store. Kind of like how Costco does it. Only here Stacy is worse. Depending on who you are she will go through every single bag and match it to the receipt. I have noticed that if she likes you or you are a friend she will let you exit the store without checking your bags. Even though she see's me at the self check out she still makes me feel like I am beneath her. Like I stole something. Because of her and how no one is ever around to help I would rather drive all the way to Dixon, Vacaville, or even Florin road then go to this store. read more

I'm completely disappointed in the way I was treated by a worker there. On two separate occasions I was discriminated against by their employees. The first incident occurred at the check out line. When I got to the check out the clerk looked at me and snarled "I can't sell any alcohol at this line" Me being black is the only reason I felt she said something like that. Here's the irony in this review I haven't drank alcohol over 20 years. It was clearly racially motivated she didn't even look in my cart to see if in fact I even had any alcohol she just snapped at me. It caught me off guard because she didn't mention anything about alcohol to the two customers whom went before me whom were people of non color. I'm a regular there and there are some workers who go out of their way to be kind and I applaud them but there are some who can make a normal customer feel like crap. read more

I like that Walmart has a huge variety of items in one location. What bothers me now is that they have stopped cleaning the carts. The pandemic is not over and they seem to have given up keeping things clean. They have people outside the store and as you walk in the door there's always somebody sitting on a chair. Can't complain. Came here several times for their cheap oil changes and even cheaper wares when I was the starving student. In addition, this store was cleaner than most of the ones I've checked out. My last yelp review for Walmart (which I also submitted to Corporate) was both scathing and appropriate. I meant every word. However, I have to remark on the experience I had this evening (as well as other experiences since I wrote the review). I'd been in the habit of starting my stopwatch at the locked alcohol case to see how long it would take for someone to respond to the pager button. The first 9+ times I did this, it took 20 to 40 minutes, as well as calls to the store as I stood at the case waiting for someone to come by. This evening, someone responded in a BLAZING 19 seconds. I know it seems a bit over-the-top to set a timer but time is precious, folks. This evening, Walmart on E. Main Street in Woodland, CA demonstrated that my time and business as a customer is important to them. I believe it was the assistant store manager who responded to my page. She politely checked my ID and took my selection to register 11 where a young man with delightful customer service skills awaited. Yes, he had a nose ring, half of a shaved head and what remained of his hair was a lovely shade of teal...but he also had an excellent grasp of customer service and interpersonal skills. He playfully teased me about being too young to buy alcohol (I'm 40. This pleases me.) while asking for my ID - in a NON-creepy way. His attitude was positive and his smile, along with his knack for lighthearted conversation, relieved the stress of a long day and I actually left the register in a better mood than when I entered the store! Then the young man at the door checked my receipt - he was polite, pleasant and attentive. I'm not saying that the role of the door checker is highly skilled but a positive attitude and a polite and professional demeanor make quite an impression. I also noticed that associates made a point of looking at customers' faces, welcoming the opportunity to provide assistance, should someone appear to need it. EXCELLENT! The improvement since October is staggering! This is the best experience I've had at ANY Walmart within the past 15 years. To management and staff at this particular Walmart, I commend you for the swift and drastic turnaround. THANK YOU for an excellent customer service experience this evening! read more
