I see a number of reviews mentioning service, but I've never had a problem with the various staff I've met. They always seem friendly and helpful to me. I was a bit disappointed that one of the beds was broken (don't know how long it has been broken for since I'm a very intermittent customer). They could improve the vibe in here for sure by investing in the overall atmosphere (and I wish ALL the beds were the newer ones with builtin fans and music), but this place is close to my house and always gets the job done. Currently, they have a promo where you buy 10 and get 2 free (I think 5 and get one free was $95, plus tax for level 3 beds). Side note, it was my first time trying the level 3 bed (I've tried all levels except level 1 at this point now) but holy cow that level 3 bed does not mess around! My butt is so red from just 10 minutes I should have listed to my body when I started to feel that distinct tingling feeling.... I wonder if they recently replaced the bulbs or something because that thing has got some power! read more

I pulled up to the tanning place this morning, the sign stated open. It must've been 2 to 5 minutes before 10, but I didn't notice since the sign said open. I walked in, the door was unlocked was greeted by a nasty person behind the desk who was doing nothing but stated that they don't open until 10. I said no problem walked back outside and grabbed my phone to see what time it was and wait for it to turn 10 When I went back in at 10 suggested that they lock the door or turn the open sign off. She was extremely nasty and said the sign was broken and she can't lock the door when she's inside. Extremely nasty attitude not a smile, nothing. I have a package of tans here and honestly, I would rather not even return after dealing with someone like that. read more

I've been a customer for years, but that ends tonight. I have experienced great front desk help, and lately, rude disinterested staff. Despite emails to management making them aware of this, nothing has changed. Tonight was the last straw. Don't go here, there are other and better alternatives without encountering rude staff. read more

The only thing I suggest is, they should keep track of how often their clients come in because I wasn't able to go in there for two months and I didn't have a vehicle to go down to the tanning salon to tell them that I need to put my account on freeze or hold and so they charged me the full amount for those two months I wasn't going and I just don't think it's fair considering I tried calling him and I couldn't get through to anyone and I couldn't get down there cause I didn't have a car. First time customers. My boyfriend and I went to this tanning salon to start a base tan before going on a trip. We don't have a tanning salon where we live and have planned out a few tans in Carson/Reno/Chicago before our trip. When asked what we would like we said "one single low pressure tan each." The woman helping us stated "If you're just going to get one tan it's not going to do anything." Insinuating not to waste our money and basically turning away business. Neither door to the tanning bed rooms locked. Mine didn't even close all the way and stayed open a good two inches which made undressing/dressing and the tan itself prettyyyyy uncomfortable. read more

I really dislike giving bad reviews. After I left a baddie, they sent me a very brief 'what's your name and phone number' message. I supplied it and noticed they refunded my credit card the $22. Hey thanks! They might want to reword the contract a little. It's confusing, especially when the representatives misrepresent. On another note, the attendants are very friendly and the facilities nice and clean. I only used the Bronze (older traditional tanning bed), and they did the trick. They have the most reasonable prices in town if you sign up for a longer contract. Just be sure you read it well! read more

I love this place and location. Everything is always well cleaned and maintained. This last time I went in Katie was working and I have to say she is probably the most knowledgeable and friendly person I have ever met at any salon. She explained what bed I should use, how long, and why. Answered all of my questions and even made me super interested in going to get a spray tan (I always do the beds). She recommended room 6 it's a gold bed I believe, for 15 minutes. It's the bed I'll be using every time I go in now. Thanks Katie! read more

I was a monthly member in the past.... Life got in the way and I decided to let my membership cancel. When I went in to reactivate my membership and start tanning again, a few years later, I was told I would have to pay the $25 membership fee again not to mention the monthly fee! When the gal at the front desk called to ask if I could get my membership fee waived because I was a prior member, the person on the other line said no, but they will be happy to give me 20% off of any product purchased that day. As soon as I walked in the staff was great! They were all so friendly and helpful. I purchased a month on unlimited tanning and the prices seemed reasonable. $95 for their "gold" level which included their standup. The place was very clean and I felt comfortable going in barefooted. They do have a wide variety of bronzers and other lotions but they are definately over priced...go online. There was an issue with the promotion on my account which was causing the VersaSpa to not register. Jamie was super helpful, worked to get it fixed and called me when it was ready. I came back and the manager ended up giving me the tan for free! Great customer service. So happy the Damonte location now has the VersaSpa! read more

The place is always clean, the employees are nice, tan beds are maintained and there are great specials and sales all the time to attract business .... but the hours posted on the door vs. online vs. Google searches etc. never match-up, no one ever answers the phone to let you know if they are actually open or not and those are easy customer service fixes that have plagued this place for years. read more

I do not like writing bad reviews but am so disappointed. I drove by and saw that this location now offered sunless tanning. I called and was told it was $30 a session or $50 membership. I walked in a few days later and was told again it was $50 and I asked if that was correct as the online price was significantly higher. After being told yes that is correct I just assumed they had adjusted their fee schedule as the listed price was almost double that. I go in for my second spray and the machine was down. I went back again the next day and was met with the manager (I will not list names) and was told that " no one should have sold me that package" and she would review the tapes and maybe since two different people told me that price that maybe there was something they could do for me. I asked her to call me and told her Element tanning was only $60 a month so $50 did not seem out of line. I waited and no one called- I left a message and no one called. I called back again and the manager didn't seem to remember me but then said she had reviewed and there was nothing they could do for me since they are a small business. I am not a math whiz but If they had met Elements price it would have been super close to their posted yearly pay up front price- so they were not going to lose money! Well I too am a small business and wise enough to know that some money and someone willing to pay it is better then no money. I also know that if I make a customer happy they tell a few people but to make someone mad they tell everyone. I went to this location with my friend as we were going to tan. I knew I had 1 tan left before I went on vacation last summer, however when I went back I was told that I had no tans left. I said "Really? Hm that's weird." The girl told me if I bought a package today I could save 10%. I declined and used one of my friends tans. Today we went to their Los Altos location in Sparks where our friend was working. I told him what happened and he said "yeah, you actually have one tan left." I was so pissed that I had been lied to. I will not be using this company again, despite their other associates being good. They obviously don't care that their employees lie to make sales. read more

I go to the delmonte location and I love the salon the place is clean the girls are nice and the location is very convenient for me but I have grown to like 1 bed #6 and the bed is down and has been for some time now witch I find a little crazy right in the middle of the summer and their busy season so I'm not purchasing another package until it up and running however in just the last few weeks I have met and talked to several others who are not going to purchase another package until that bed is fixed and 3 girls from the Beauty salon there that are going elsewhere because they also want that bed witch is kind of a bummer everyone likes the same bed I do but I really wish they would fix the bed before they lose to much more Business because I would really hate to see that location close I gave 5 stars because I love the place but please fix bed #6 not just for me but for your business thank you read more

This place has really improved itself. I needed to get tan before a cabo trip. The lady there was awesome. Took care of me and my spouse got us lotions that worked for us (with no pressure) the beds were always super clean. The products were stocked nicely and we especially liked all the hemp products. It was easy to upgrade. Has music and always has towels so you can wipe off after tanning. The place was clean for sure and the customer service I got from Angelina was top notch and amazing. I like its location. The girls are super friendly and always try and help you out.. They do try and upsell you products all the time which is understandable but when you say your not interested they should take the hint. Thats their only let down.. Wow!!! The worst customer service ever! It started two weeks ago, I work odd days and travel often so it's hit or miss when I can come tanning. I go on Sunday and it's closed for repairs. Wtf alright I won't tan. Another week goes by I got word that I need to travel out of the country for work, I come in on Sunday the platinum bed is broken. Now I'm the highest paying member I get things break, but crap this is ridiculous. I talk to the girl and explain I'm traveling out of the country and need to put my membership on hold. She said she'd send it to management and let me know. This afternoon I received a call they are unwilling to put my membership on hold because I haven't been a member for 6 months. Hmm well I just moved to the area from Somerset so of course I haven't been there 6 months I just bought my house 3 months ago. I also explained that your bed isn't working that I pay the highest for. I was told it will get fixed sometime this week!!! Wtf!!!! I'm paying full money and receiving nothing for it!!! I was told Moana is just down the street excuse me?!?! I went to Damonte not Moana! I travel for work and Moana is not just down the street!!! Horrible customer service and they are basically stealing money for services they CANNOT PROVIDE!!!!! Go elsewhere! I highly recommend California Sun off Robb Drive! I have reported them the BBB, they refuse to put my membership on hold while I'm out of the country... BUT ARE CHARGING FULL PRICE FOR SERVICES AND BEDS THAT ARE NOT FUNCTIONING!!! I have never been lied to at this location or any of them. In fact ive thought i had to pay for an upgraded bed and was told that i had 2 higher sessions left over from years ago. I think pacific sun is a great place! They always have great deal, the girls are super nice they really make a point to know you on a personal level, not just a pretty face who really doest care how your day is going. This location is also a big salon so i never have to wait for my bed. I havent checked in a while because i dont need to but the tanning price is cheap for great beds. Also lotion (which i have called on around) is at a great price! i wont tan anywhere else! read more

The staff is amazingly nice except for one of the guys that works there. Hes not so polite. But other than that i would highly recommend this place to anybody. The tan is amazing and the beds are always nice and clean so are the rooms it's just overall a really nice place to go and tan you feel like you can get away for the 12 minutes that you're in there. read more

So bummed, because all I want to do is tan. Run in and Run out. I have no problem waiting either. My complaint comes with this: I have purchased the package that goes with the healthiest bed, every time with out a doubt it does not work. I have to lay there naked for 8 minutes while the fan cools down, and then tan. This last time, before I tanned, i asked the employee how the bed was running. "We just got new bulbs and it has been working great all day" Push the blue button, no lights, wait 5 minutes for it to cool down. Push the button again, still no lights, have to wait another 8 minutes for it to stars. I laid naked and cold for too long. Which, i realize it happens. It's out of the employees control. But can you at least offer me some compensation so that I am a satisfied customer? And not ask me, "how did it go", Well how do you think it went, i laid naked with not lights freezing for almost 18 minutes... you tell me. Honestly, would not have minded if she would have been like, hey Ang, this tan is on me, sorry for that... GET IT TOGETHER. please! read more

Drove all the way down there, got there at 6pm and they were closed ... sign on the door says 10am-6pm. Wasted my time because the website and store do not align. Run your business!!!! read more
