Mitch and his team saved us and this review was long overdue. We were impacted by the pandemic and everything that came along with it including the supply chain issues in 2021 when we had decided to get new window coverings for the entire home. We called around and no one was willing to take us on due to high demands. However, Mitch was different, like others he also had a packed schedule BUT he let us know that upfront and asked us if we can be flexible with our schedule. Totally appreciated that upfront and since we had some flexibility, the entire thing worked for us. He came out the same week after we made the initial reach out and boy first impression, wow Mitch was full of energy and full of creative ideas. We knew we hit the jackpot! When he came back the second time around with fabric samples, we knew it was real and became excited. Shortly after we placed the orders, we found out that some of the fabric and shades were delayed due to the supply chain and Mitch kept us informed the entire time on the status of them. If something came faster than he had original thought, he made sure we knew that too by text or a call. We decided on Roman Shades for our front windows and mostly roller shades and we made a few of them motorized. You must try the motorized shades, we cannot live with out it now. The floors were ripped up and my place had not yet been painted, but in walked Mitch who understood what I needed without me even really knowing what to ask for. I wish every service company had a person like Mitch. He was super nice and very responsive with questions and emails. I highly recommend Pacific View for their customer service. The strings of the roman shades in our apartment had broken, so our landlords handy man took them here. I am not sure if Pacific View had previous relations with the handy man, but Mitch took the initiative to work with him with my available times to install the repaired shades. I am not entirely sure if their pricing is competitive ($330 for restringing one large and one small roman shade), but if you're like me that likes to pay for convenience versus shopping for prices, this is the place, as Mitch will take care of you! read more

He climbed around boxes to measure and help me envision what I wanted. My shades were ready on time. Of course construction took twice as long as estimated. Same as Daniel, so pleasant. Asking before drilling for placement of cord holders. Important when you've just renovated and don't want holes placed just anywhere. He always arrives on time, is well prepared, has excellent suggestions, and explains exactly all the important little details. I found Mitch on yelp when I was at my wits end with the other two companies I was working with. One was constantly MIA, the other came to our house and we couldn't get her out. Mitch was amazing, from returning my call, to making time for me on a Saturday during his busy schedule. I told Mitch exactly what I was looking for and what I am interested in. He came to our house with exactly what I told him I was interested in, after dealing with the other two companies, this was definitely refreshing. Mitch also picked my roman shade in the kitchen, its just beautiful. Everyone always asks where we got our window treatments, and I highly recommend Mitch. During installation, Mitch drove to oversee if the shades are properly installed, when he saw something he didn't like he know how to fix it. We even ran into a situation where I was being overly picky, and Mitch would show up at my house with options, and he was not willing to give up until I was happy. This is a caveat to Yelpers that I don't have much experience with window covering shops (unlike restaurants)--only three before contacting Pacific View Window Coverings who outperformed the rest. I usually stick with a good supplier, but my original window coverings firm moved farther down the peninsula and stopped servicing San Francisco. I was not very pleased with two others after that. The last before this, a prominent store on Polk, provided a glib and affable salesman who recommended I go with a more expensive product because it was "made in USA" and would be ready 3 weeks earlier. After 2.5 months the only response I could get from the store was that it was at the mercy of the East Coast manufacturer and there was no ETA on my window coverings. After that, the shop's installer, who was based in north Marin, did a good job, but left behind all the packaging and upset my remodeling contractor. Not wanting to call that shop again I resorted to Yelp. It was easy to find the favorite window covering shop in San Francisco. Although skeptical I made an appointment and Mitch, after phoning from his car to let me know he was within 10 minutes of my address, showed up with a heavy bag of samples. He did not carry the brand I had read about, but explained the differences--primarily that the other was for commercial use, bulkier and contracted in a different way. Mitch was able to address each of my concerns and brought up others I had not considered. My windows are aggregated in one wide band that faces east. I like the view and wanted to minimize blocking it. We discussed options for materials, insulation, colors and spacing and he talked me out of my preference for greater transparency. I was concerned when Mitch explained that he would not be involved in the installation. That reminded me of the previous firm I engaged--the disconnect between sales, supply and service. He assured me that the person who would do the installation was professional, thorough and would not mind lugging everything up 6 flights of stairs (the window covering components we decided on being too long for the elevator). On installation day I was worried about all that could go wrong. Edgar, the installer, arrived and asked to see the elevator to double check the dimensions. After confirming that his components were too long he did not complain about having to carry everything up the inhospitable emergency staircase. Once inside he was indeed professional as well as pleasant and, similar to Mitch, conversational and knowledgable (even about good places for breakfast). Before finishing he showed me where he thought indicators on the pulls should go and wanted my agreement. He even demonstrated how to operate them--not too quickly or roughly. This happened nearly 2 months ago, so my review is tardy. But the interval has given me an opportunity to confirm that Mitch was right to talk me into a more opaque material. It's translucent enough for visibility, but reduces sun penetration to an acceptable level. From hereon my first choice for window coverings is Pacific View with its excellent duo of Mitch and Edgar. read more

I recently moved into a new top-floor unit with 16-foot+ ceilings and floor-to-ceiling angled windows. I had some estimates for window treatments done prior to calling Mitch, and everyone definitely agreed it was going to be a challenge (and quite costly, to boot). Mitch came in initially for a free in-home evaluation, and the estimate was more than competitive. Once I decided to move forward, he came back for detailed measurements and fabric selection (Mitch is a fountain of excellent design advice). He kept me updated while the fabric and hardware was out on order, and was always prompt and responsive via phone and email. I've worked with Mitch twice now, on two separate home decorating projects, and each time was a dream.
