We'd knocked out a ride or two, my feet were already questioning every life decision that brought them to Disneyland, and somehow a michelada sounded less like a drink and more like medical treatment. Doctor's orders. If you've never had a michelada, do yourself a favor. It's basically a Bloody Mary that decided to loosen up and have a better personality. Bayside Brews is tucked away in Paradise Gardens Park, and it's dangerously convenient. You're strolling through Disney, minding your own business, and then... BAM... micheladas. It's almost unfair. Now, let's talk Disney economics for a second. You spend hundreds getting into the park. Another small fortune on Lightning Lanes. You accidentally buy popcorn because someone walked by with popcorn. At that point, a michelada doesn't even feel like spending money. It feels like financial closure. I was flying solo this trip, but I'd stopped here before with a buddy who appreciated a good drink as much as I do. This time it was just me, the California sunshine, and a cup that whispered, "You've earned this." Honestly, after surviving the first couple of rides, I wasn't about to argue. And yes... I still accidentally call it the Tower of Terror. I know it's Guardians of the Galaxy Mission: BREAKOUT! now, but I'm old enough to remember when we had paper FastPasses and people weren't filming every bite of their churro. The michelada hit the spot, the service was quick, and the location couldn't be more convenient. It's one of those places you don't realize you need until you're hot, tired, and your calves have filed for workers' compensation. Five stars. Not because it changed my life... ...but because for fifteen glorious minutes, it convinced me I could survive the other 18,000 steps Disney had planned for me that day.

Whether it's a hot summer afternoon, or you need to escape the sun for a little while and have a break later in the day, Bayside Brews is a perfect place to stop and grab a drink! I really enjoy going to Bayside Brews to grab a drink due to its unique themed drink offerings in addition to a variety of craft beers, ciders, and seasonal tap beer. There are other drink options available at Bayside Brews (such as several types of hard cider) in addition to specialty drinks, some of which may be limited to seasonal offerings. Overall, Bayside Brews is one of my top picks when I want to quickly grab a drink at California Adventure. It has a very relaxed atmosphere and a fantastic view to take a break from the sun which makes it an ideal spot to recharge your batteries after riding some of the attractions. My wife started with the To Chill A Mockingbird drink which was large and refreshing and a unique take on a Sangria style drink. Myself and our friend went with the Fireside Reading a bourbon based drink and this was fantastic and one of my favorite cocktails I have had, period. I opted to go with The Scarlet Sip for my second drink and it was refreshing and for strawberry lovers was absolute perfection. My wife opted for the Chapter 91 and she enjoyed this as well. I do not care for gin or cucumber but I tried this and it was a great combo as well balanced and very herbaceous. For food we opted for the goat cheese crostinis for my wife and the short rib tacos and cauliflower cheese soup flight for myself and we enjoyed all of them. Our friend went with the blistered green beans and although I did not try them, they looked delicious as well. Overall this was a great experience and I couldn't be happier that we got to try it. It was an evening filled with fun, laughter and good times. Check this place out if you can for some quality drinks and a cool atmosphere inside this small room. If we had any minor critique it would simply be to put a dark curtain or something over the one window inside near the bar to make the space darker during the day and enhance the moodiness of the atmosphere, otherwise this was a near perfect experience.

We are able to bring 4 additional guests. It's tucked away on the second floor of Star Wars Launch Bay in Tomorrowland, it's the perfect place to escape the crowds, recharge, and relax for a bit during a busy park day. The lounge is spacious, air-conditioned, and offers plenty of comfortable seating both indoors and outdoors. There is complimentary soft drinks, coffee, hot chocolate, a great way to refill your water flasks, Wi-Fi, and charging stations. The futuristic space theme fits Tomorrowland perfectly and gives the lounge a fun retro-space feel. It also offers one of the cleanest restrooms. The Cast Members are always friendly and welcoming, and it never felt rushed. At times there have been special free DVC trinkets. Is Star View Station worth purchasing DVC for? Probably not by itself. But as an added membership benefit, it's a fantastic place to recharge and makes a Disneyland day a little more comfortable. If you're a DVC member, I highly recommend taking advantage of it.

I was fortunate enough to dine here on the second floor of the launch bay in Tomorrowland. This new lounge is called "Starview Station." It is not open to the public except for special events or vacation packages. Talking to one of the cast members as I was waiting outside the launch bay for my appointed dinner time, 7 pm, she explained that this was part of the Star Wars launch bay that had recently converted to a lounge called the Starview Station. As I ascended to the second floor after they checked my wristbands, we were able to go inside and let me tell you, it's like you teleported inside a museum. The lights were all still on and I felt like I was inside a space station. The interior layout of the second floor was retro futuristic, think the Jetsons, but I liked it! The couches are all oddly shaped but the flooring plan was huge. I also like the colors of this place. There was a bar in the corner that offered free soda and water. Fortunately, the company that I was with allowed us to buy one drink on the company. Being that it is Disneyland, there is no hard liquor. However, the alcohol consists of beer and wine. The food was served catered style. Looking simple enough, it consisted of brisket, salad, and a teriyaki chicken. They also had sides like cornbread and potato salad. I took my plate out to the outdoor second floor of the launch bay and had such a beautiful view of Tomorrowland below from my vantage point. The hustle and bustle of colors, along with theme park goers, created a surreal scene. We had propane heaters every few feet, so it was warm amidst a chilly January night. The food was DELICIOUS. The brisket and teriyaki chicken were moist. The salad had just the right vinaigrette. The potato salad was bursting with flavors. It could be very easy to make these items dry but the catering service by Disney is stupendous. They make the everyday simple food at a very high level. As an avid reviewer, I can recognize when an establishment knows what they're doing and Disney definitely knew what they were doing. The dessert consisted of a stuffed churro cake and a chocolate cake. It was moist and succulent down to every morsel. Coffee was also offered in decaf and caffeinated. The atmosphere of this lounge was very casual as I found myself in different conversations with different people throughout the night. The cocktail tables were also conducive to allowing conversations. Even the restrooms looked nice from the outside. Overall, I rate this a 5 Yelp stars due to the plethora of factors: atmosphere, food, and good company. This was definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience for me!
