I was also able to convince his sister and her family to join us. We decided to make a full day of it and bought Universal Studios access starting at 2 p.m. So glad we did because it was crowded. We managed to get on several rides before horror nights began and a few during the evening . We got on Transformers, Mario Kart World, The Simpsons Ride, The Mummy, and Flight of the Hippogriff. The longest we stayed in line was probably 35 to 45 mins. Around 5 p.m., we started the mazes and actually got through all of them (Terrifier, Poltergeist (maybe my favorite), Fallout, Monstruos 3: The Ghosts of Latin America, Terror Tram: Terror Tram: Enter the Blumhouse, Jason Universe, The Horrors of The Wyatt Sicks (really liked this one too), Scarecrow: Music by Slash, Five Nights at Freddy's) by the end of the night. It was super fun, but the crowds were intense. Jason's maze was listed as a one-hour wait, but it ended up being over two hours. It got so bad that several people in line passed out, and medical staff had to come help. Standing in line for that long really killed my mood. My legs and feet hurt. To make matters worse, once inside the maze, it was so packed that the jump scares often happened to the group ahead of us, not us. But it was fun to see my boyfriend hide behind me scared lol. Overall, it was still a fun night and worth the trip. Going as a group made the real difference because we laughed and had fun together. I would return, but next time, I won't stress about doing every maze. I'm not standing in line for two hours again. The Universal Studios app really helped with picking mazes that had the shortest lines first.

We arrived at 10:30, which seems like the first reservation you can make, which means the doors were closed to the stadium. You go through a small corridor and up an escalator to get there. When first arriving inside the place reminds me of an upscale hotel restaurant with a view, and the hostess were pleasant and friendly. My son and I walked around to check out the different buffet items, and were impressed with the selection. Our servers were prompt, polite, and considerate. They had a variety of premium items (fresh sushi, charcuterie), to every day things like, hot dogs and popcorn. They also have alcoholic drinks which were prompt and well balanced (not too much mixer, not too much booze (I ordered a bloody mary)). They also had cool things like a poached egg station, which was really good. Lastly, for deserts, the offered a plastic to go cup, to take the various M&M's, etc. to go, which we took advantage of. Overall, you'll spend at least $50 per person when you eat around the stadium, eating here gives you a great feel, value, and experience. I highly recommend this place at least 1-10x. I eventually gave in on the very last day when I met a very nice and friendly family from Northern CA. They had boysenberry glazed thick cuts of bacon. BACON. That's what got my attention. I was like, "That's it! Sold!" I regret not buying the boysenberry food passes sooner. I caved so late in the game and then frantically tried to find six boysenberry items to redeem it with. By that time, lines were crazy long and it sucked to wait in long lines for the next handful of hours. Tip: Don't be silly or dumb like me, and just buy the pass as soon as the festival starts. You can redeem throughout the month or all in one day. Totally up to you. For sure don't wait until the last minute. Since I only had a handful of time left that very last day, I only tried four items but we doubled up on two of them. Boysenberry food we tried from the boysenberry food pass: 1) Boysenberry beef brisket over Mac n cheese - 5/5 stars. I liked that they used white cheese for this. The meat was tender, juicy, and the sauce did not over-power at all. 2) Boysenberry BBQ meatballs over mashed potatoes - 5/5 stars. We wished we had gotten more than one order of this. 3) Boysenberry glazed thick slicked bacon on a stick (not pictured) - 5/5 stars. This was so popular that they ran out the first three times I went to get some. I finally got two sticks on my fourth attempt. The two sticks were thick and generous portions. Between the five of us sharing the bacon, it was actually a decent amount. It's almost like ham, so I couldn't finish one stick of this on my own. 4) Elote with boysenberry butter, boysenberry mayo and cotija cheese - 5/5. OMG. This was our absolute favorite out of the four. It was surprisingly SO GOOD. We got two but could've eaten a couple more between all of us. Boysenberry food items I ordered that was not part of the boysenberry food pass: 1) Grilled salmon salad with a boysenberry vinaigrette - 5/5. This can be found at Coasters Diner. That boysenberry dressing was amazing. I desperately wanted more. 2) Boysenberry marinated carnitas - 4/5. Served at Casa California located in Fiesta Village. I had this like once in the beginning and again at the end of the festival. It is good. Don't get me wrong, but I was wanting carnitas carnitas. If you know what I mean. Still delicious and I'd eat it again. It sounds kinda weird to have boysenberry on savory foods but it just works. It's shocking that it's not a strong berry flavor which is what I had expected before I even tried anything. That's my bad. Now that I've had a taste of boysenberry food at Knott's, I will be much smarter about it for seasons to come. It is a cross between a raspberry, blackberry and a loganberry. Interesting! This is the berry that is celebrated at Knotts Berry Farm's Boysenberry Festival! I've come to Knott's Berry Farm for the festival a few times on my own and once for a Yelp Elite Event (YEE: Ditch Day at Knott's Boysenberry Festival in 2018). This review is mainly for this year, March 13 through April 12, 2026: You can outright pay for Boysenberry food items, or you can buy a Tasting Card. The price for the card fluctuated during the festival. I went online to buy the Tasting Card for $45 because I saved some money instead of buying in person. Once you receive the email, you have to take it to a store or kiosk that sells them and they will scan the QR Code & give you the physical Tasting Card with lanyard. One card allows you 6 food items. Not all Boysenberry food items are eligible to be used with the Tasting Card. If I was a drinker, I'd use my Tasting Card on Alcoholic Beverages because they cost the most. The 6 Items we used our card on were: *Boysenberry Sausage on a Hoagie with Boysenberry Mustard, Peppers, and Crispy Fried Onions ($11.99+tax) ~ this is really good! *Spicy Bulgogi Over Rice ($11.99) ~ it was okay *Boysenberry & Matcha Mousse Cup ($10.49) ~ nice dessert and it came in a plastic keepsake cup when I got it. They switched to disposable plasticware by my next visit. *Boysenberry Beef Brisket over Mac and Cheese ($11.99) ~ Brisket was oversauced, didn't care for this *Crispy Chicken Wings with a Boysenberry Sriracha Dipping Sauce ~ the wings were delicious *Boysenberry Brick with Boysenberry Jam & Boysenberry Soft-Serve Ice Cream($9) ~ this was quite tasty but needed more ice cream! ***One thing to note about the Tasting Card is that there are no tabs to tear off, so you have to keep track of how many you've used. I prefer visually seeing how many I have left rather than relying on my memory. If you walk around Boysenberry Lane just past Ghost Rider, there are more shops and Photo Op places. There's also a place to buy Boysenberry Plants! It's best to come with family or friends who will share so you can try more items! We will most likely return again next year!

The atmosphere was amazing and the decorations were beautiful. The event was held in a house with a cute barn, which we used as our tasting room. As we walked in further, there was a bar, couple of high tables, and small table with some appetizers. When the hostess called for our group for tasting, we went into a barn and each of us had our little stations. The LCD tables were neat and how we each can use our walkers card to identify ourselves. Black label and double black label was served with a cup of water and a medicine dropper. The medicine dropper was used to recognized how whiskey taste if drinking neat or with ice. With just a drop or two of water, you will taste the difference of how some other flavors will appear compare to drinking it neat. After tasting was over, we were given one last complimentary drink before the event was over. Old fashioned with double black or served neat Overall, great event and experience. If you don't know who he is, definitely look up his solo work, his work in Lareine and Versailles, you will NOT be disappointed. Paid parking all around, but if you're brave and willing to circle around and walk a bit, free street parking is possible. Due to an accident on the freeway, we barely made it here 10-15 minutes before the show, and most people were already let in, but security was pretty efficient and checking in was very quick too. There's drinks, concessions (it's a theater, you know), and the merchandise was strangely being sold in the middle area when you enter and exit, but staff was situated to direct people and assist you at every line and entrance into the theater. We got orchestra seating right before the balcony ends and with the sloping of the seats, we were able to see decently well, even if our seats weren't the best of the best. I guess, based on the crowd and the audience, even though we had assigned seating, everyone ended up standing up for the entire performance. A bit strange, but less stressful in a sense that you don't necessarily have to camp there super early as your seat is already assigned (you would have to though if you wanted any of the sold out merch...). We were lucky enough that there weren't any super tall people in front of us. Lighting was great, sound quality was amazing and at no point did any instrumentals or the vocals get drowned out. But the most impressive part was the architecture. Absolutely gorgeous. Probably the most favorite of all of the venues I've been to thus far. I can see why Kamijo chose this theater. It's perfect for an immortal vampire like himself. I wish we got there a bit earlier (not just only for merch), but for the opportunity to take photos which I saw a lot of people do. The lovely hanging chandeliers, the painted ceilings, aged gold archways, the Spanish Gothic style modeled after Spain's Segovia Cathedral. It didn't feel like we were in LA anymore after stepping in. So much history in this building from the 1920's . When you're in there, look up, look around, it's just so intricately and beautifully designed. Apparently the restrooms had a powder room too, so nice! I would love to go to another event here in the future.

It's located in a really busy area of Hollywood on the Sunset Strip. I've only been to this venue twice that I can think of. Previously to watch a band I really enjoyed called Two Gallants. My most recent visit was for a comedy/ music night. It was during the Netflix is a joke festival entail. The concept of the show was comedians would go on and do a 10 to 15 minute set then they would either perform or perform an instrument for a song of their choosing. The show I went to had some heavy hitters! Including Bill Burr, Nikki Glaser, Brad Williams, and Jelly Roll among others. Bill Burr played on the drums for a Beastie Boys cover. Nikki Glaser did a Taylor Swift song and a duet with surprise guest Jason Mraz. Such a cool experience. If it wasn't so hard to get to this area of town for me or find parking in the area. I think I would come here more often. Otherwise, it's a bit of a pain.

A lottery commenced for tickets to this big celebration and I won two terrace section seats - BOX SEATS FOR FREE! It was a beautiful Fall evening on Sunday, September 30, 2018. One of those typical So Cal nights when it's cool but not cold. Gustavo Dudamel did not disappoint! He, of the bouncy hair, conducted Congo del Fuego Nuevo with the YOLA - The LA Phil's Youth Orchestra. Dudamel went on to oversee the world premiere of Paul Desenne's Guasamacabra and Stravinsky's Berceuse & Finale from The Firebird. Columbian singing sensation, Kali Uchis joined in for a few steamy numbers. After intermission, it was on to renowned jazz-funk musician Herbie Hancock performing classic old-school MTV hits like his Rockit from 1983. Katy Perry took the stage next in a gorgeous black and gold dress with hoop skirt and hooded top. As you might guess, she sang Firework and fireworks lit up then night sky. I've seen a lot of firework presentations at the Bowl, but this was the absolute best. Prior to Firework, Perry sang Queen's 1978 hit, Bicycle Race (Cylovia and more LA Phil events has been held around town that day). And as if this wasn't enough excitement, special surprise guest conductor, 86 year old legend John Williams led the LA Phil in the Star Wars Theme complete with space-inspired mood lighting. Wow! They did a huge celebration for days, with many free concerts on various stages in different parts of LA, Ciclavia in downtown and they finished with a great concert at the bowl, during a balmy summer night. The cherry on the cake! We've been going to the LA Phil concerts at the Bowl for years and it was great when I got 2 free tickets via lottery to this amazing anniversary concert. It was a great way to end 2018 season at the Bowl! After your regular picnic, we got to our decent seats and let the festivities began (the staff was nice, well organized, had free programs on hand). LA Phil and their YOLA guests (young musicians the Phil helps to get a free musical education, a nice program) had a top notch performance, including a new classical piece composed for the occasion. Dudamel was in rare form! And they had cool video projections, as a celebration would require! I loved Herbie Hancock's performance, I've seen him at the Bowl before, but this time he rocked. Katy Perry was cool as usual, with variants on some of her hits "Roar" and "Firework", and yes, we saw an amazing firework show during the concert, as you'd only dream. I've seen great fireworks here for July 4th celebrations, but this one was the best, it topped them all. And John Williams at the end, as a surprise guest was a shock for everyone, a good one, "Star Wars" theme was on. Great guests, the Phil rocked, it was a historical evening for our city of Angels that we'll never forget! Thanks LA Phil!
