Great classic rock bands every night from 9pm to 1am. They have a large bar selection and the drinks are priced right. This is my "Go To" bar as there is always live music after 9pm . Friendly bar tenders who get to know your name and what you drink if you keep coming back. A great place for groups and parties too. But get there early on Fridays and Saturdays as the place fills up. Weekdays there is almost always plenty of seating. Easy plenty of off street parking too. No food, but you can bring in your own food. Sometimes food trucks show up.

If you like cool dive bars and live music, I'd wager you will love The Fling. The Fling has a a loyal following of regulars for good reason in no particular order as The Fling is greater than the sum of its parts: It has great old school atmosphere. The decor reminds me of a Quentin Tarantino movie . It easily could have been a location in a scene or two in Pulp Fiction. The bartenders on duty when I go, Ace and/or Carrie, just plain rock. They are absolute pros who are very good at their craft. Tip them accordingly. Great service deserves a great tip. It's a bar for grown ups with a great crowd of regulars from all walks of life. I'd say the crowd typically tilts middle age and up, which is perfectly fine by me, me tilting toward middle age myself. Younger folk are welcome and have fun here, too. It's a generally welcoming and friendly crowd. Just know that it's not really a pick up place, and it's not a place to act the fool. It hosts really, really good local bands that play there regularly. Before the COVIDs, bands played seven nights a week, but right now the bands play Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night. I'm sure it won't be long until it's seven nights a week again. The bands start at 9:00 p.m., and they typically play until about 1:00 a.m. or so. Tip the bands well, too. They are pros who aren't phoning it in. There is ample parking; the cool kids park in the back. All in all, The Fling is one of the best bars in Orange County hands down. Cheers!

Great place to go and listen to live music. Great service. The drinks are good too. Had a great time and felt comfortable going on my own.

Dive bar, terrible seating, and no selection in beers . The band was awful. The ladies' room needs some updating. No pub food here either.

I was like, "F**K YEAH, I LOVE THIS PLACE!" Eddie Day was jamming and the wifey and I danced to Copa Cabana.

I have genuinely never encountered a bartender who neither owned nor could locate a lighter. That's…read moreroughly the hospitality equivalent of a pilot forgetting where the airplane is parked. The search lasted long enough that I realized the real reason she couldn't find one: there was nobody in the bar to borrow one from. Which, in fairness, tells you absolutely everything you need to know about this establishment. If you're new in town, I would strongly recommend conducting literally any other social experiment before coming here. The place feels like someone launched a bar using a business model built entirely around "whatever cash was left after buying neon beer signs." Hiring standards appear to have been based less on competence and more on finding people capable of maintaining maximum attitude with minimum personality. And the bartenders? Fascinating dynamic. When the jukebox played *their* music, the volume was perfectly acceptable. The second I paid for music, suddenly we were preserving the quiet dignity of the room for all seven invisible customers. People say employees make or break a bar. In this case, they broke it, buried it, and held a memorial service for it. Also, the smell when you walk in deserves its own Yelp account. At first I thought the bathroom had exploded, but no -- that aroma is apparently the bar itself. It smells like moisture, regret, and unresolved health code violations. I'm honestly amazed the staff has adapted to it like cave organisms evolving around toxic gas leaks. At this point they don't need a bartender. They need a fire marshal and possibly a hazmat team. I do not know how this bar stays open due to lack of business, judgemental bartenders, and the retched bad odor that hits you like your walking into hot pea soup as soon as you walk through the door. Not exaggerating!
