This place smells. Literally. I've been here a few times for lunch and shows and didn't have this issue. However, I planned to have dinner here 2 weeks ago, and my gf and I immediately had to turn around and walk out because it smelled like sewage. I tried again today, assuming the issue would have been addressed, but again had to turn around and find another spot due to the terrible smell that hits you the second you walk in. Great warehouse vibe with exposed brick. They have live music which is what attracted us to this place. We had dinner before the music including cajun pasta, rueben, nachos, boudin balls, a salad and a kids meal. We didn't enjoy the food. It was pricey for the quality. Won't be back to eat but would go back for drinks and music. read more

I came for the live gospel music brunch on Sunday. Nice place! Great crowd. They opened at 11am on the dot and there was a line to get in. I could tell they have their regulars that come in as they were greeted with hugs. Nice! Bloody Mary bar is very nice. Need to work on keeping it stocked but selection was nice...peppered thick slab bacon, peppers of all varieties, stuffed olives, capers, hot sauce and worschtechire sauce. Service is good. The music was very nice but it didn't start till noon. No big deal...however it wasn't gospel at all. I waited till 12:30pm to make sure they just weren't warming up. That was the main reason I came to event I will be back because I want to bring my husband and this place is close to home. This new venue is OUTSTANDING... the food is amazing and happy hour is a great deal for appetizers. The bar is very well stocked and the performances are amazing for a local venue spot. One thing lacking.. Customer service... They could really use some front of house training but its not bad, it just is the only thing bad about this place. Went with a group of friends on trivia night. Food was good but service was terrible. The waitress greeted us and made a joke about how nobody tips her on trivia night and then proceeded to ignore us the rest of our time there. We had to ask other servers for refills and at the end of the night had the bartender close out our bill. Kind of disappointed. read more

I came here for the first time with family for a spontaneous lunch. The place is very nice and food was excellent. I subtracted 3 stars from what would be a 5-star review because this place was NOT in compliance with the governor's mask order. About half of the servers were wearing masks (some were sporting what I call a "chinstrap"). Most notably, the hostess (arguably the most public-facing employee and the first impression upon walking in) was not wearing a mask and seemed to not mind at all. Sorry to say I will NOT be returning to dine here until the pandemic subsides or they begin to take public health more seriously. read more

This was our first time, we've been planning on it for a while. It met up to every expectation we had. The service was excellent and attentive. The band, Giovanni and The Hired Guns were a pleasant surprise. We expected covers and got all original music! We even bought an album. The food price was reasonable. I had the ribs and my wife had the Ribeye. Both were very good The drink prices were a bit higher than I expected but not enough to deter me from going back. The only critique I would have is the beer menu was frustrating as everything we ordered was no longer available. Great place, check it out!! read more

Went for the first time on a Friday night just to order for take out and was blown away. The atmosphere was awesome and the drinks were great! I almost wish we hadn't already planned on leaving. I got the buffalo chicken sandwich and my friend got the chicken fried chicken. These meats were HUGE. I was super impressed by the size. The following Friday, I took my husband. I ordered the buffalo chicken pizza and he got the wow factor burger. His could've been a little bit more on the spicy side, but I loved my pizza. When it came out, our waitress told us that the cook accidentally dropped one slice and he was making another one. Even though it was one slice, I got a whole other pizza! Incredible. Then as we were waiting for dessert, we were asked to leave our table. it seems that our table was reserved for another party. The more I reflect on this, the more absurd that seems. At sixty years old, that's a new one on me. Has anyone else experienced this? Ever? So we finish dessert at our new table. The check comes. It seemed a little high. My fiancee's martini was $21.50! What?! In what five star restaurant in Paris is a martini $21.50? Our server explained that a martini is charged as a double shot. Our entrees were $15.00 each. Who could reasonably expect a drink to be that much? The irony is that our first table remained unnoccupied. I can't remember the last time I left a restaurant feeling so disrespected AND overcharged. Before dessert, we were saying how glad we were to find such a cool place so close to home. Service and food was extremely disappointing last night. Our waiter could not remember what we ordered, even to our simple drinks we ordered. He never refilled our waters or soft drinks, we had to help ourselves for our refills. My sister ordered tequila chicken and they brought her out 2 little cut up chicken tenders instead of a chicken breast. We had a lot of first timers with us last night and they said they would not be back. Maybe you can work on better customer service. Pacific Yard House is completely perfect for downtown Conroe, it's the hottest restaurant in town. There is a dish here that for me deserves accolades of a high order ... It's the Kentucky (or in this case Texas) Derby, Republic Grille and Pacific Yard House are neck and neck! Republic Grille's crust falls away and it's not as tender, it isn't as thick!! As they make the bend Pacific Yard House burns up the track like Zenyatta and Seabiscuit had a swole baby. The Pacific Yard House chicken fried steak is plump, well seasoned and tender with a golden crust that holds crunchy under the cream black pepper gravy. Next time I'll be having the side salad with mashed potatoes because the macaroni and cheese tasted somewhat sub-par, an afterthought for the territory. Everytime I go back I plan on trying a different appetizer and splitting a CFS then a different entree with someone. Okay look tl;dr if the service were so bad that they were throwing rotten food at me and I KNEW it I'd bring a shield made of Rubbermade just to eat the chicken fried steak there while it's hot. Arrived early in Conroe to attend an event so we stopped for a drink. It was a beautiful, early Fall day and we wanted to sit outside. Nice patio, comfortable seating, quite street for conversation. Had no issue with the decor, beer section, the staff was so, so! The food just is not up with the prices. First time, i order a cheese steak, the bun fell apart with i pick it up! Second time order the blackened chicken sandwich, the cook or chef should know how to clean the chicken breast and how to blackened meat, again the roll was hard as hell! both times we were there, the manger was sitting at a table and not taking care of the guests. Worst run business. The management goes out of their way to loose business. They offer online ordering for delivery, per their own website, yet show not open during lunch and dinner hours?... They purposely turn off the ability to have food delivered by a third party, using the excuse it's to busy, but will still take orders for pickup. Makes zero sense if your so busy. It takes less effort to take online orders. The parking is a nightmare, horrible location, so why would anyone come to pick up food. The owner is loosing so much money due to this management decision. It's to bad they have some really good dishes (hence the 1 star the food earned), but not good enough to deal with the horrible management, location, and parking issues. read more

Great upscale casual restaurant in downtown Conroe, in the site of an old ice-house. Our group of 20 had a large area reserved and everyone left happy. Wide range of menu options from pastas to BBQ to fried seafood/ chicken to steaks and burgers; something for everyone, our group sampled almost everything, and we were all pleased. Large portions at an appropriate price, and service was excellent especially for such a large group on a busy Friday night. They also have live music performances, but sadly we left while they were setting up as many had driven a distance to our family event and people were beginning to fade. Went twice, first time the food was ok, service was slow, and we had to ask for utensils. The second time we went we asked for the avocado triple play. The salmon salad tasted like canned tuna in oil, and the shrimp salad tasted off, the chicken salad was ok a little bland but not bad. We tried to tell the manager who just got insulted and told us the supply is delivered fresh daily and apologized that we didn't like it vs. acknowledging that something might be wrong. My husband was viciously sick within an hour, and the only response we continued to get was that their supply is fresh daily and that they continued to serve it without anyone else getting sick. read more

Came here with a group of 8, they refused to seat us. The restaurant was nearly empty but they swore every single open table, even at the bar, was reserved. Said the same thing to a group of six who walked in right after us, so 14 customers turned away. My mother in law came there often and was excited to bring us there, but we left embarrassed and confused. Who won't seat a table when the reservation is still an hour away?
