I've eaten at Pacific Yard House twice. The most recent time, the waitress asked if we were interested in ordering Thanksgiving dinner to go...then she explained. The dinner was designed to feed 8 to 10 people, and was $75. It included a smoked turkey, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, gravy, macaroni & cheese, and cranberry sauce. I certainly could not fix that much food for $75. Let me tell you, EVERYTHING was absolutely melt-in-your-mouth good! I highly recommend their food, their service, and their Thanksgiving dinner! We went here to watch the Superbowl and eat an All-American, all-meat meal of chicken wings and peel-and-eat shrimp. Service was quick and friendly, and the meat was great - the shrimp tasted fresh, and the chicken wings were smoked, then fried for extra cancer-flavor. Oh, and every time the train went by and sounded its horn, you could buy $1 Jell-O shots. I will say that my old man eyes had a hard time looking at the TVs, due to the considerable glare from the multiple neon beer signs perched on the adjacent walls. (She seemed intimidated to talk or shy.) First thing we get is, "Just the 4 of y'all?" I told her yes when I had to ask her to repeat herself-Bree was her name. She asked if we want a high table or low table. I told her low. She just walked off. Came back about 7 minutes later and said "come with me." Got to the table, the waitress was fairly new - didn't know the menu or anything, took drink orders, didn't bring them back. The food came before the drinks did. She didn't give us silverware- had to ask for them twice. She didn't introduce herself, just walked up and said "are you ready to order." She was absent most of the visit. Was not attentive. No frequent checks, someone else delivered food. The whole damn restaurant kept dragging chairs around just loud and inconsiderate. Told us they had a concert at 9 and we would have to be gone by then. A party was being seated next to us and guess what, more chairs dragging and tables are scooted. The chairs are metal and the floor is cement. As they rearranged furniture around us trying to eat, we couldn't hear one another. The party that was supposed to be seated just stood there next to our table staring at us. The food was good but very pricey for the crappy service. I asked for a Togo cup for water and I never got it. They gave me alcohol Togo though but no water. The manager was very rude about it and had the never to say that's what you wanted anyway - sir, I asked for water to go. Will not be returning at all. Waste of time !! VERY DISAPPOINTED! I thought I was going to enjoy it along with the live music which the website advertised for 7pm. Nope it was for 9 apparently. The website doesn't mention anything about tickets to watch an event but the restaurant tells you events are private and you need a ticket. Well if I'm paying $150 for 4 people to eat, I shouldn't have to pay extra for tickets. The service I received doesn't deserve a ticket . I know I said this before but I'm going to say it again. We went for Astros playoff game. The house margarita was very good $5. The wings were the best I've had in years. The place is roomy and they have live entertainment on Friday Saturday Sunday. This was our first visit. We were very disappointed when we arrived and began looking at the menus, that the menu we previewed online ahead of time, was not the correct menu. When I asked the server about it, she verified that they had indeed changed the menu, but had not updated it online. We made our decision to visit the Pacific Yard House based specifically on the menu, as some of our family members were on the low carb diet and looking forward to the Avocado Triple Play, along with the Pork Chops for my 90 year old grandmother, neither of which they had. Service needs major improvement, especially with a large party of 15. Only "our" server brought our food out, 2 entrees at a time, going back and forth and taking a very long time for everyone to get their food, none of which, at the same time. Other servers need to jump in and they deliver all the food at the same time, even if it takes the manager to assist. When hot food is up, all servers available should help and deliver, especially with large parties, or use a large tray, in order to deliver more. Atmosphere was good and a family member loved the wings, but overall, very disappointed in the dining experience, especially the false online menu advertising. It is very common for people to check out a new restaurant "online" for reviews and the menu. Anyone reading this, we encourage you to call ahead to learn if the online menu is accurate! read more

Great new & welcomed place in downtown Conroe. Big & spacious with really cool Texas decor. Our server, Natalie, was great. Very helpful in describing & recommending the different dishes we asked about. We started with chips & salsa which were good, not fantastic but okay. For our main meal, I ordered the Avocado Triple Play; 3 avocado halves filled with Chicken Salad, Salmon Salad & Shrimp Salad accompanied w/fresh strawberries & pineapple slices. It was a lot of food, very fresh and yummy. I think my favorite was the Shrimp Salad but all three salads were flavorful. My husband had the Shrimp Po-Boy with Steak fries. The bun was really good crusty bread filled with full size fried shrimp; not the popcorn shrimp some restaurants use; with tasty Remoulade sauce, lettuce and tomato. He was very pleased with his choice. They have a good selection of beer and "ol happy days" they had my favorite Angry Orchard Cider on tap! We split an appetizer of bacon-wrapped, cheese and shrimp stuffed jalapeños, which is all that needs to be said about that because yum. Then we split an entree of southern fried chicken breast with mac & cheese and asparagus. It was all good. They're still working to add more draft taps, so I'll have to come back for that. Bottle of Goose Island was a good alternative. I'm looking forward to being here for the live music one day (but unfortunately today is not that day for me). Spent New Years Eve at this spot. Had a great time. The decor and ambiance are great-industrial chic. Crowd was lively but not overcrowded. Food was very good. Had a special menu for the event. We decided to try the wings, seriously legit smoked wings not like that crap at twin peaks. They had a great flavor and not small at all. It was a busy night with a hour+ wait but got a seat at the bar quickly where we decided to eat and Christine the bartender waited on us, we was sweet and on the spot and helpful with the menu. She recommended the shrimp and grits and my husband got the full rack of ribs which were tender and awesome. I would definitely recommend coming and enjoy the music and food. Where do I start, well the food was ok and the atmosphere was appealing but the service left much to be desired. Jessica was our server and we has a party of ten, so we knew they would automatically add a large party tip to our bill but really 18% and we had to wait 20-30 minutes between getting out food and drinks. We even had to get up from our table and go get our own drinks. But Our server saw us get up and instead of "oh sorry let me get that for you" she was already getting her money built in to our bill so she let us get our own drinks and made sure to add it to our proper bill while we served ourselves. Apparently the kitchen staff was short staffed and we had to wait nearly an hour for our food. While I do understand being under staffed, I do not understand why a party of 5 (the same number in my party) was served before us. The waitress, Grace, was very inattentive. After we saw her pass us by for about the 5th time, we raised our hand to get her attention and placed our order. Once we placed the order, She also never refilled our drinks nor communicated with us about the delay until the manager came to talk to us. When our food was finally delivered, it was cold. Grace called the manager to our table. When the manager came out, she was extremely aggressive and slammed the plate on the table. She also waved her hand in my daughters face who was holding her infant son at the time. She was not wearing a name tag but she was white with stringy red hair.
