Wonderful atmosphere, great sevice, and delicious food. We enjoyed the Calamari Italiano, and the grilled rib eye steak. A glass of Chianti, 2 soft drinks, a cappucino, and the sticky toffee pudding with gelato... all for 51 Euros. A great experience all around. After a full-day tour in Kilkenny, my girlfriends and I were looking for a place to have dinner. I mean, anything would have done. We happened to see Pacino's and decided to give it a go. Pacino's was a disappointment. Our hotel recommended we go there for pizza. When we arrived at the restaurant we were asked if we made a reservation. We had not as we just arrived in the country. The gal who appeared to us to be the owner/manager said we are welcome to stay if we cleared the table by 7:45. Since it was only 5:30 we figured that no problem. After we were seated we were rushed through ordering. When we asked for a few minutes to look over the menu the rolling of the eyes gesture response from our server surprised us. We should of left, our fault. It was obvious the party they were expecting for this table was more important to them. We ordered a salad and preferred to wait to order the pizza, but that was unacceptable evidenced by the body language. Very uncomfortable service. The party they were expecting showed up early. I know this as everyone was eyeing us and our check presented before we finished swallowing. We had travelled through 4 other countries before this and all was fabulous so we wrote this experience off as unfortunate and counted our blessings. i was here with 4 friends for lunch today. One of us got his food about 15 minutes before the others. The food was mediocre and the avocado was missing on the salads. The service took forever, we asked for salad dressing as there was none on the salads and after about 10 minutes of waiting got about 10ml for 3 salads. Getting more was not possible unfortunately. The only reason this place gets 2 stars is because I really enjoyed the nightclub part. The food was awful I ordered the lasagne and my bf had a pizza. It was pos the worst lasagne I have ever eaten!! So when the waitress came over and asked did we enjoy our meal "usually I just say yes even if I didn't really but I was actually so annoyed that we had been served such crap" I said it was awful and her response was I like it and like a fool I still paid. I wont ever return to the restaurant. The nightclub was different then the normal Dublin nightclub, there was a DJ in the smoking area and it was underground, hidden away from the busy city centre. read more

Went here for breakfast on Sunday and was very disappointed. The first thing I noticed when assigned to our table was the smell - unpleasant scent coming from what to be smelt like something like drains. Also the interior looked like it could do with a bit of TLC / refreshing (we were sitting at the back) The waitress seemed to be serving by herself and was unable to cope with the amount of tables. We waited about 15 mins for our order to be taken and another 25/30 mins for the food to be served (2 x full Irish breakfast). We ordered two glasses of orange juice which when served was cheap concentrated oj which was no where near worth the €2.90 each. The breakfast was ok but nothing really to write home about to be honest. Plates could have been cleaner as there were finger prints on the side of mine. The wifi signal was very poor and did not let me browse the internet. I would of gotten over the slow service as the waitress was pleasant enough but all in all I would of expected more for €25.70 and will not be returning - sorry Pacinos read more

Pacinos is a great Italian restaurant in a nice location. I have to admit that I had never been to an Italian restaurant before this one now but I couldn't resist goin back for another margarita pizza. It truly is the cheesiest and best pizza I have tasted in Dublin. The chicken wings with their signature sauce are great also. (Not very Italian but nice to have on the menu). A nice pint of Peroni has to be had here too. So any locals or tourists on yelp need to get down here ASAP. read more

I've seen that it had some pretty bad reviews and was a little nervous when I made a reservation with a group of friends but we had a pretty good time. The only disappointing part was that we were put all the way in the back and upstairs away from the buzz of the main room but we still had good service. The pasta was really good, and everyone else enjoyed their pizza (one complaint: one order was wrong). I would like to see how it is when the cellar is open and full, but I guess I'll have to check it out another time for that. read more

I came here to eat cheesecake and was given this absolutely pathetic portion. The scoop of ice cream is even bigger than the piece of cake itself. It literally looks like a quarter of what a normal serving should be. It cost me 7 euro for a piece of cake for a MOUSE! I asked what I think was the owner why it was so small and she had clearly gotten this complaint before because she rudely cut me off and said that its 'very rich' and so it should be that small. well little does she know that ive tried every cheesecake in dublin and it was NOT rich in the slightest. So I have a bit of a weird tale about this place....let me take you back some months ago I was walking down Wicklow Street pre Mary's bar. Now many have disputed this... but I saw a door open and inside a stairs leading down to a large screen full of lights like you would see in a nightclub. I thought this was gonna be a new spot. It looked awesome. Someone (no idea who) I was with mentioned it was going to be a new gay bar. A few weeks later, I walked past the same spot and it was no longer there but Mary's bar had popped up out of nowhere..... now I'm no conspiracy theorist but by god there must be a secret club under Marys.... Anyway, no one believed me and I began doubting myself. Maybe I was confused about the location or something. So I'm out on a date with a fabulous man and am regaling him with this story as we are walking past Marys, when suddenly, a man smoking by a black shutter says, 'yes, we are open until 4am when don't you go in?' and gestures to a lane way beside him... right next to Marys. How intriguing.... I went gleefully down the laneway, we came across a group of people dancing & dinking beers, a dj set up on the right and a girl selling bottled beer from what looked like one of those school tables from a box she had underneath. Random and wonderful. I notice a door to her left and being the inquisitive soul I am, I grab himself and venture into the unknown. The stairs lead us to an underground vault - esque place with people sitting around at like dinner booths, some dancing and a disco ball. This scene did not alleviate my confusion... I dared to ask the barman where I was but I think he thought I must be mad or an amnesiac and just told me I was in the club.... Unfortunately a bad reference to a 50 cent song did not help. We decided to just go with it, grabbed a beer and had a dancey dance. Eventually we went back to the lane way and had some lols with a random group out there who told me we were in/at the back of Pacinos. They had apparently paid €10 entry fee to join this random party. All in all, I had a lot of fun that night and Pacinos had some part in that. It was very much a follow me down the rabbit hole kind of experience and I encourage other to give it a bash. Not sure if this review will help anyone but thought I would share it all the same :) read more

Was here on Saturday night. Found the food to be excellent and the service too. Nice to see that they have updated there menus with some great Italian classics. Tried the Carpaccio which was lovely and worth the price of €12 for main tried the steak which was cooked perfect. Had no room for dessert, manged a dessert cocktail. Funky Monkey. I came here with 3 friends from college and the service was one of the worst I've ever experienced. First of all my friend got his food long before us so he was pretty much done before we could even start. The avocado was missing from both salads and there was absolutely no dressing on the salad that came with my sandwich. When we asked for more dressing, we got about 10 ml for 3 salads and where then informed we couldn't get anymore, so I had to mix my own dressing at the table from some oil and vinegar. None of us have ever experienced anything similar. It was almost comical except for the price, which was surely not worth the food or the service! We definitely will not visit this redtaurant again and surely wouldn't recommend it to anybody! read more

I completely disagree with the negative reviews regarding Pacinos. Three times I went there and each and every time the food was great. I especially recommend the "Penne con salsiccia e pepperoni". These are truly tasty and made me think of Italy. The interieur is stylish and rather hipster. The waiter was very nice and attentive. Five out of five stars! read more

I ate here twice recently - I had both brunch and a late lunch on the same day! My brunch was eggs benedict and coffee - totally yum - while my lunch was a chicken Caesar salad that was full of chicken for a change. So many restaurants are stingy with the chicken! I've also had a cocktail downstairs in the bar, which is dark and full of atmosphere. Pacino's is really taking care of its customers during the current economic crisis by offering a very reasonable recession-friendly menu. You get two courses for a mere €10.95 - seriously, how could you go wrong with that? It's available from 4pm 'til close, Sunday to Thursday and methinks it will prove to be very popular in these trying times. read more

I was so pleased with myself when i found pacinos.They have amazing pizza. Kind of limited on pasta dishes which loses a star but they make up for it with their drink menu. I love the seats in the front by the big windows...great for people watching. Staff seems to be busy in an empty resturant so need to be aggressive at getting their attention. How tragic that I've only just discovered this gem as my year at Trinity College is winding down. Their lunch special is easily one of the best in the city centre! Could not believe the size of the jalapeño pizza my BF ordered. Thin, crispy crust... just perfect. I ordered the pollo sandwich which came on a glorious toasted ciabatta and included chips with some damn tasty garlic mayo for dipping (not ashamed to admit some pizza definitely got dipped in it too). Horrible place. Horrible service. Plus they're a overpriced given their very central location next to the touristy area (by Trinity college). They speak Italian but not much English so it was hard for us to order drinks (we had some questions but they nodded yes and couldn't really answer). Unprofessional and unreliable. Recently booked a party for the Cellar Bar for 50 plus people - 9 days prior to the party rang to confirm the food order, only to realise that they had double booked.... Initially stated that it must be our fault! Whole matter dealt with despicably, ended up having to re-arrange party in alternative venue at the last minute. I am actually glad we happened upon this restaurant without yelping it as we normally do, because the earlier reviews would have likely driven us away. Unlike the earlier reviews, we thought the food was reasonably priced as well. Everything is expensive in Dublin, but by Dublin standards I thought it was quite reasonable. We had a very nice bottle of red wine with a name that ended in D'Abruzzo. My husband and I had different experiences with the food, so the 4 star rating is mine. He would probably rate it a 3 (2 for the food and 4 for the wine, atmosphere, service and everything else about the restaurant). He got the sharing portion of the buffalo wings for a main course and thought it lacked flavor. I had a chicken and avocado salad that I thoroughly enjoyed. The combination of ingredients in the salad made for a wonderful flavor combination. The owners/servers were very friendly and attentive. We would likely go back if ever in Dublin again, but not order the wings. read more
