OMG! I know that pasta and pizza aren't what come to mind when in Dublin, Ireland. After logging some miles, and the dogs were barking... made our way into this fine establishment. Best part, my travel mate has some dietary issues and not only was Pacino's accommodating, but as is ALL OF IRELAND that we encountered. Gluten free pizza and pasta- excellent wine selection, clean & priced accordingly. Excellent service to boot.

We came across this restaurant while walking around and decided to stop. We were told that the inside was not available but we could eat outside so we gave it a try. Although it was a bit chilly they had heaters on the umbrellas which worked quite well. The food is Italian and there were a lot of choices. We started with the pizza garlic bread which was good. I had the pumpkin ravioli which was very good and a nice portion-not too large and just right. Service was a bit spotty. The server was nice and all but things took awhile. We had a hard time getting the check after our meal although the hostess was trying to hurry people to leave. Finally we grabbed her to get the check and were able to leave.

Pacino's was absolutely wonderful! From the apertif to assistance with choosing the best wine to the fabulous gnocchi, this place was a delight. After shopping St. Stephen's Green, we wanted to find a nice meal and had enjoyed eating in pubs the whole week. But we wanted something different. Yelp's rating for this facility did not lead us wrong. When we stopped and asked they were only taking those with reservations, but they did what they could and made a small table for us by the bar. Additionally, they were more than compliant and happy to provide us the two free drinks via the Yelp coupon I received when checking in. Thank you to Pacino's for being such a delightful find in central Dublin.

The restaurant is lovely inside. Our waiter was very attentive and prompt. We got buy one cocktail get one free when we checked in on Yelp. The food was fairly good. I ordered the chicken soup it was a little too salty for my taste. Their bread was very good served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. My husband ordered the pasta arribiatta And it was not spicy enough for him. I would like to go back and try something else on their menu. They have several good options Wow, tried them a second time. Antipasto excellent, pizza perfect thin crust, lasagna very good.

On our trip to Dublin, this was my favorite lunch. What drew us in was the Bloody Marys that were posted on the brunch menu. Being a little burnt out on pints, this was a nice change. I ordered an avocado starter that had capers and olives over baby lettuce. Sounds simple but if was delicious, followed by an equally terrific salad with goat cheese, nuts and quinoa. The music playing was coming from a DJ in the corner. The women I was traveling with seemed to enjoy their meals just as much as me. If you want to take a break from pub style fish and chips with a pint, try this place.

Very quaint and romantic, away from most of the crowds but still in the middle of Dublin! This place is perfect for a date or a nice meal with your family if you aren't into crowds or want a nice italian meal. Everything else around was either too high end or fancy for our taste, but we wanted something nice, so I am happy we found it!

A true surprise. Having passed by Pacino's many many times over the years, I had genuinely never considered what culinary delights may await me inside. I guess being on the tourist trail has worked for them in some ways and worked against them in other ways. Being on the Sutton / Grafton St / next door to good aul Carroll's Gift Store, it unfortunately may put some locals off. Well no more! My eyes have been opened, I have seen the light! The food I have had in here is without doubt the best Italian food in the city. Chef Luca Mazza is apparently the driving force behind the transformation of Pacino's in recent times - he started there in the latter half of last year, bringing a Michelin star and Italian sensibilities with him. The food here is simple, good good food. The emphasis is on the ingredients and how they are married together, and this ethos is something that is immediately obvious from your first bite. Full, rich and flavoursome food. I had the pasta with fresh homemade tomato sauce, chili, garlic, cherry tomatoes and flat leaf parsley. This sounds like such a simple dish that it would be almost a shame to get it in a restaurant. Not so. Getting a dish like this just demonstrates how stunning really good ingredients can be if put together in the right way. Other than the food, the staff is top notch. Professional, some Italian and some Irish (all very suave!), approachable and friendly, but with a polished overtone. The guys in here know what they're doing. Now they just need everyone else to know too! Top Tip: 2 for 1 cocktails if you check in using your Yelp app!

Restaurant is supposed to be Italian, but the decor shows something completely different. The menu also has a few non-Italian dishes served with a side order of spelling mistakes! Had a steak tonight. Ordered it medium and got it well done. The waitress was nice and had it changed. Second steak was cooked properly but tough as hell. They must be buying the cheapest steak they can find in Dublin! My boyfriend had a Pest Pasta dish that was so bland. Tasted like tesco pasta. My plate was not heated so the steak and veggies went cold very fast. I think this restaurant is extremely over priced with Pizzas at €15 and Pasta at €14. Starters are €6.95 and a glass of wine 6.50 At these prices you could do better else where.

I happened to be at Pacino's for Saturday night salsa, which really brightened up what would otherwise have been a very ordinary dining experience. We ate downstairs in the cellar bar, which is really cute but, as Cathal rightly states, very dimly lit. I'm not one to complain about food, but my pasta con salmon was really very very ordinary. If you order a salmon pasta you expect it to have salmon in it, don't you? Mine had hints of salmon, and maybe a miniscule flake thereof, scattered in amongst wads of over-cooked, soggy fettucine. The 'free' garlic bread that comes with all pastas is so small you might mistake it for a piece of the non-existent salmon. So really the food is nothing to rave about. The wine, on the other hand, wasn't bad at all, and we had a lovely Italian chianti to complement our meals. Luckily there are many redeeming qualities about Pacino's on a Saturday that more than make up for the complete absence of decent food. Firstly, our meals were eaten to the soundtrack of a nice young guy bringing us the best of the Chilli Peppers and Kings of Leon on his acoustic guitar. Secondly, at about 11pm the dancefloor heats up with the bunch of salsa enthusiasts who head here to strut their stuff. Some of them are even nice enough to pick you out of the crowd and teach you a few moves (I recommend going along with this, you'll have a blast!) Thirdly, there is an amazingly handsome young man who works at the bar. Very lustworthy. So my advice? Go elsewhere for dinner, then prop up the bar at Pacino's for a while (and maybe try to start up a conversation with God's gift to womankind) and then head out on to that dancefloor and salsa the night away. For women, heels are a must!

I have a feeling that this restaurant has been on Suffolk St for a long time, and that I was brought there as a kid. We got excellent service and unusually large desserts as my Dad's friend, who brought us there, was the owner's bank manager, and had just organised him a loan. Ah, the joys of cronyism. I was back there not that long ago, this time unfortunately not in the company of my influential bank manager friend. Still, the service was still pretty decent. And the food wasn't bad either. I had the lasagne, and I find that lasagne is usually lasagne, very hard to get wrong, not usually incredible either, and Pacinos' was no exception. It was 14 or 15 euro though, which is a tiny bit steep for a run of the mill lasagne. What I really wasn't mad about, though, was the lighting. It's unusually dim inside Pacinos, and I'm one of those people who have to be able to see what I'm eating. Still, by the end of the meal I'd got used to it, I suppose, but it would be something that would put me off going back again.

For our entrées, we had the Ravioli dello Chef di Ricotta e Basilico and the Seafood Linguine. Both dishes were excellent, with fresh ingredients and authentic flavors that made for a memorable meal. The atmosphere was quaint, cozy, and welcoming, and the staff was attentive and friendly throughout the evening. The only small disappointment came at the very end. We noticed many other tables being offered complimentary limoncello, and we had been looking forward to experiencing that Italian tradition ourselves. Since we were the last guests to leave, we weren't offered any, which was a bit of a letdown after such an otherwise fantastic dining experience. Overall, the quality of the food and the warm service made this a restaurant we would gladly recommend and visit again.

We ordered two glasses of Barbera wine as our cocktail, followed by calamari, pappardelle al funghi and ravioli Asiago. The wine was perfect and complimented our meal. Both our pasta dishes were divine and authentic. At the end of our meal we had some espresso and were given complementary limoncello shots. Il Vicoletto was amongst the best restaurants we visited during our trip to Dublin. I highly recommend for anyone looking to eat great Italian food.

This place shocked me!…read more I found San Lorenzo's via Yelp, so thank you Yelpers! It is one of the few places in Dublin that takes American Express cards. So you can leave home without it when you come here When we asked if they had a table they said only if you are up from the table in an hour. We were hungry so we agreed The environment is dark and tasteful and lively The wine list is not good, but the food and the staff make up for everything The avocado and caprese salad was awesome The shrimp in wine sauce was off the charts delicious The chicken breast wrapped in prosciutto was delicious and the polenta and creamed corn were spectacular The monk fish wrapped in crispy pancetta on a bed of pesto basil was amazing To top it off we had the Nutella cheesecake with Carmel sauce and gelato with biscotti crumbs on top- this was surreal!!! All this and we were done with all the food, a bottle of wine and cappuccinos in an hour and never felt rushed If you are in the mood for Italian food, come to San Lorenzo's

Things I liked about Sprezzatura: - whatever you're in the mood for (marinara, carbonara, bolognese...), it's probably on the menu that night - the sauces are rich/heavy. I like, but maybe not everyone will. - generous portions - super friendly service Things I wasn't crazy about: - the finish on the table left a stickiness that was annoying as we sat through our meal - the kitchen door kept slamming shut (loudly) with every staff pass-through and needs some sort of better hinge or soft close mechanism - each pasta dish was a bit overrun with sauce. I might have soaked it up with some bread, but the amount was unnecessary for the pasta alone. We ordered three pastas dishes. I actually liked the one I didn't order the most - an amatriciana-like red sauce with a little spice. My wife enjoyed the Fettucini, Nduja and Mascarpone. The Mafaldine Cashel Blue (cheese) and Roasted Walnuts, which also had caramelized onions in it, was actually not as sweet as I expected (or wanted) it to be. What we did agree on, though, was how delicious the arancini was (we went with spicy sausage). I would lead with that...but don't get carried away. The wine choices were limited, but solid. And the price was very reasonable. I'd go back again (if I actually lived in Ireland!), mostly when I have a fix for a certain flavor. There was a lot of delivery business taking place during our visit. I suspect these sauces don't travel well (no firsthand experience with that), so dine in seems like the better call to me.
