Top notch facility, location, safe and secure, and he got his nails done! We are so lucky to have AK in our county! Again if you have any ?s ask we did! See you again AK! Did I say the staff has only been friendly to us as well! Thank you for keeping pricing very reasonable too!!!!

I asked about extra services and was told that since it was going to be such a busy weekend that he wouldn't need anything, and she talked me out of the extras. When I picked him up, I was shocked at how badly he smelled of urine. There is no doubt that they just left him to lay in his own urine the whole time I was gone. The smell was so bad that I had to drive home with the windows down and then took him straight into the shower when we arrived. I don't know if he got any attention or if he was actually let out at all. The urine smell suggests that he wasn't. They could have done so much better. I would not recommend that anyone leave their pets here.

Up until today I had never cried in public. I suppose there's a first time for everything!…read more Let me start by saying the manager was great. He came out with open ears, listened to us, reassured us that this experience is not what PetSmart stands for, and made sure we left feeling heard and taken care of. His empathy was outstanding. (We thought he was going to cry too!) I wish I could say the same for the groomers. I brought Camper (My Golden Doodle) in for his first haircut because the professional groomer was booked out too far. He gets baths here regularly and I decided to give PetSmart a shot at his haircut. I called ahead to make sure they did an all over cut with scissors and arrived with reference photos in hand. When I asked about scissors at the grooming desk, the groomer said it was a jump in price. I asked how big the jump was and she said "it jumps by a lot." She then pointed to a dog in the back and said they could do the longest length they offer and it would look like that. I decided to accept, and asked that they cut his face short but keep the hair on his head longer. I communicated how nervous I was and that I didn't want a dramatic haircut. I watched another employee check him for mats (she told me he only had one on each elbow which I knew) and then I left. I am VERY consistent with de-matting him and brushing him. I was shocked when I got the call 3 hours later that he had miraculously developed mats all over his body and was shaved a length shorter than discussed. I brought my boyfriend in to pick up Camper because I was worried I was going to lose it. He informed them that we would've appreciated a call before cutting him short and that we won't be returning to which the groomer replied "that's your choice." My dog looks ridiculous. They didn't trim his face short like I wanted, but they cut the entire rest of his body WAY shorter than we agreed on. I had to go home after crying to re-trim his face. I should've just done the entire haircut at home. If I can buy a brush online that removes mats, I'm sure a grooming facility can remove them without shaving. I'm also sure that they could easily tell me the cost of an all around scissor cut and inform me before making drastic decisions. It comes down to laziness and a total disregard for customer preferences. On the bright side, this was a learning experience for me and his hair will grow back eventually.

(They know my dog's name, but don't know mine! LOL.) My dog has been using their doggy daycare and I know she likes the place because I need to be careful when I say "doggy daycare." The moment I utter those words, she thinks we are going to Stone Mountain and will wait at the door! They will verify the person picking up the dog, which I feel safe knowing that no one is going to run away with my dog. I can also add other family members so they can pickup my dog as well or be notify of any emergencies in case I am out of town (but I'll still be notified as well.) DAYCARE: Pretty self-explanatory. I can drop off my dog before I go to work for a full day for about $40/day. The benefit is that my dog will interact with other dogs and will nap all evening when I pick her up. They will also feed her with the provided food. GROOMING: It is crazy that their pricing is more affordable than the big box stores like Petsmart or Petco while providing the same care. LODGING: I feel at peace knowing that my dog is OK while staying at Stone Mountain. This is the third time I use their lodging service. I like to pick the Adventurer suite because it gives my dog the opportunity to go to daycare during the day and then stay in her suite from evening 'til morning. There are lots of options to add-on like treats, report card, walks, medication, etc. Check-in and out is simple. On my last lodging service, my dog stayed with them for a week. I was able to coordinate with them to provide a bath. Overall, I am happy with their service and will continue to go to Stone Mountain for my dog's needs.

Scratches and redness. Also should mention that I do not think they even clipped her dew claw nails. This is very disappointing. I trust my dog to a reputable place for a full golden doodle grooming package and this is how I get her back. I'm disgusted. They said she was really good so how could this happen if she wasn't fighting it. I will never take her there again for grooming and will not recommend this place to anyone. I do bring her to doggy daycare and have never had any issues with that, of course I do check in on the webcam constantly so I would definitely call them if I see anything that doesn't seem right with that.
