Came here for good beer and live music and got both! The atmosphere here is super cool, family friendly, and definitely captures that small town vibe. My friends and I got a few rice bowls, tacos, cheesy pretzel and of course a few beers and ciders.

The location and decor of this place is great. It definitely takes inspiration from the very mountain community it's a part of. The people working here are very nice and our food came out in a decent amount of time. My only complaint was the food itself. Maybe just come here for the beer/cider. We all found that our food lacked flavor and was very bland. I ordered the veggie rice bowl and it was mostly plain white rice. Not many veggies or chickpeas. Not many options on the menu overall if you can't eat dairy or are vegan.

We very much enjoyed Packwood Brewing! Chill vibe, lots of yummy drinks both beer, spirits, and nonalcoholic. We loved the tacos! Steak, chicken, and carnitas were all delicious.

Stopped in after a weekend of camping and what a way to end the weekend! Excellent vibes, very dog friendly, lots of shaded tables, it was a great time! Everyone we met in Packwood was just delightful. We didn't get any food, but everyone around us seemed pleased with what they ordered! Beer was great and cold!

What a great spot!! We came here for drinks and beers after hiking in Rainier. Awesome tap list with a lot of variety (we really like the doppelbock and the porter), the nachos were delicious, and the vibe of the whole place was cozy and friendly. Would definitely come here again if I found myself in Packwood again.

Beer was great, atmosphere was fun. Great way to spend the evening after enjoying the views and hiking. Unfortunately the kitchen was closed when we were there but still a great time.

This place has the vibe and location down pat, so there's not much to discuss.. But I will. Because the tacos were embarrassing. $6 a toco.. Two 4" tortillas each. Maybe 1 oz of meat each, pickled onion, (ooh, fancy! ) and a drizzle of sour cream (see pic). At this rate, I'll need 6 tacos and $36 to feel satiated.

Prickly pear cider was really good. Food was ok, tacos were pretty small and not much flavor to them for the price. Ambiance is good though, they have lots of indoor and outdoor seating.

I had a great time staying here in Packwood. I didn't know anything about this place before coming here. So my way of getting to know a new town is to find the local brewery. Packwood Brewing not only makes a great beer, they have good food, live music and a nice outdoor patio area. I was staying at a hotel within walking distance and came over here to grab a bite one evening. The crowd outside was chill and there was a live band playing some music. I ordered a Mountain Goat Coffee Porter and some food while listening to some tunes. Packwood Brewing Co. has some great options on their food menu. The tacos sounded really good, so I ordered some. I ended up ordering different protein choices for each of my tacos. Most of the food here is rice bowls and Mexican food. Packwood Brewing has both an indoor and outdoor bar for ordering beers. There are a number of picnic tables outside to sit on which brings a community feel to this place. If you like ice cream, Packwood Brewing has an Airstream that sells ice cream in the beer garden. I ordered a Salted Caramel Swirl to cap off my night here.

Great stop is you're exploring the Rainier area. I just don't know why they aren't open for lunch more days than weekends! The inside is really cool, service is quick and food is excellent. There is also an ice cream trailer on the patio that was a good ending to an excellent lunch.

I ordered a steak bowl. Food was decent but seems a little overpriced for the portions I received. Small bowl and not very much steak. I also had to order my food at bar. Pick up my food when it was ready. And throw my bowl away and put glass in a tub. Not sure what I tipped for. The atmosphere was nice. Cute rustic building. There was a woman playing a guitar and singing. Place was busy seemed clean.

They serve very mild Mexican pub food, and it is exorbitantly expensive. The environment is cool, though.

Great service and a fun vibe. It's the nicest place in town. Don't go to the saloon down the street, it's ghetto.

Well... we finally did it... and shame on us for waiting so long. Such a very cool place and the vibe was great. An open concept inside, with a couple spots outdoors as you enter inside. My wife and I decided to split our meals and we ended up ordering the Chicken Tinga Street Tacos, as well as, a platter of Chicken Nachos. Both very delicious and the cilantro is simply supreme on this! The radishes was a nice touch, with some sauce over corn tortillas with that Cotiga cheese. I would prefer flour, but I'll take it! We also had the Saison which was light, a bit dry, crisp and sort of lemony. All in all, we enjoyed ourselves and the neighboring tables. Had some good conversations with local folks. As always, enjoy and Happy Mule Elking!

The tacos were a 10 out of 10, the fire pit was awesome outside and I note several little improvements wherever I look. Under the old ownership, things seemed to be slipping toward the end, but all that is fixed now. I haven't been at this place for a couple of years and was passing through so I thought I'd give it a shot, and I'm super glad I did. It is once again on my list of cool places to stop in my travels. This is the "good 'ol boys" brewery in town…read more And I say that with 100% positivity. You'll feel like you're at a big rowdy backyard cookout (don't you DARE call it a BBQ unless yer smokin' meats) that you just stumbled into. The man running the taps, who I can only assume is the owner, is boisterous, friendly, and ON TOP OF THINGS. He'll ask you what you normally drink, give you some samples, and hook you up with the right beer. I tried to give him a card and he just said "just let me know how many you've had before you leave, I trust you!". You really feel like you're at some sort of family get together. Oh, and the views of Rainier from the patio are stellar! Unlike almost all other breweries in the PacNW, this one is not stocked chock full of insufferable, apathetic, hipster and post-hipster types. The crowd here is largely blue collar: truckers and farmers, Carhart and coveralls, construction workers and men-at-work signs. Which, again, is refreshing for a brewery. Beer is for everyone, not just beardos at coffeeshops with macbook pros that "work in tech". My only qualm is that I feel like the beer is just OK. It wasn't bad or anything, but it also didn't blow me away. Most of the beers were a little too much on the sweet and malty side (even the IPA) for what I usually like to drink. (which is stuff that is really pale, dry, and bright) The irony of my sounding like one of those disaffected beer bro stereotypes I just criticized earlier in the review is not lost on me though so...take what I say with a grain of malted grain.

I don't know if it's there all the time, but when I stopped in, there's a Mexican food truck in the front parking lot. Once you've seen it it not hard to miss, as it's the only shop with all the doors wide open and a good sized covered patio area. Walking through the entrance, the decor stands out right away, growler jugs, hanging from the ceiling from breweries from all over the country, along with a lot of cool animal wood sculptures and memorabilia for honoring Veterans and history. I believe the bar tender was also the owner or one of them? Very friendly and helpful with the selections. Taking time to answer questions, even on a surprisingly busy Thursday afternoon. Lots of seating throughout the inside and on the patio area. They specialize in unfiltered brews, which I like, as it gives a full flavor to most beers you may not get, if they're over filtered, another one of those balancing acts that those workers of brewing magic deal with. I started off with a Amber lager, full tasting with the crispness of a lager, a flavorful change from the usual amber ales. The place had a cool old dudes vibes due to all the memorabilia and the old van in the shop, but definitely wasn't just an old dudes place, as a few of the younger crowd was enjoying a brew while working remote. Plan on a return trip on a weekend to check out the weekend vibe, try the food truck, and more of their tasty unfiltered beers. I also tried their Red Ale, which was also robustly flavored and went down smoothly. Gotta love those reds! A fun stop while passing through or coming back from some of the beautiful hikes in the area. Definitely have their own style and niche well done. Happy Yelping and Cheers!

Pros: Chill lounge/sitting area at the front corner with sofas, a low bar (accessibility friendly) and board games. Big tables to accommodate groups and various bar seating. Large brewery menu screens with large range and the food looked good. Tbh we came for brews so can't comment on food. The Wildman Beer brand was so-so. Some better than others! Cons: FOH staff interaction. Why we love pubs/breweries is because of the chill, friendly, conversational flow of FOH; their knowledge of the beers and/or cocktails, their passion for sharing it with new customers so they come back again and again ... this vibe fell short at Wildman. TL;DR Good for a basic group of people looking for a brewery experience in town with room for large groups. The first mead I had was their Oak Aged Classic Mead. Such fantastic balance in body and the oak flavor was truly impressive! I got another mead from the list, the Sneaky Bastard Meer.
