Sent a Yelp request Friday night at about 9pm. He responded fast, about 15 minutes. Scheduled my move for the next day and he was in time. These guys are so professional! He texted me upon arrival and called me. He moved the piano from across the street (neighbor gifted us the piano). I emailed Paco's Piano Movers through Yelp and Francisco responded very quickly. I sent detailed photos of the stairs in my apartment complex, and he gave me a reasonable quote. The move required carrying my 49" Kawai upright down two flights of narrow stairs, with multiple switchbacks and turns. Very tricky. The last movers damaged my piano on the way up, but Francisco and his crew handled my piano perfectly and made it down no problem. They were on time, friendly, and excellent at their job. He also called me the day before the move and when he was actually on his way to the site. His price was fair and he arrived on time and got my upright down a flight of stairs and onto the truck within 20 minutes. He and his crew got the piano into my house without a hitch and placed it exactly where I wanted. They were very professional and efficient. Can't ask for more than that. I'll be recommending Paco's to friends in need of piano moving in the future. Forgot to mention that he charges $6 per step on top of whatever base rate he charges (I believe it depends on location) so if you have a ton of steps it may save you more to go with a piano mover with a higher up front cost but charges less per step. My mother had new carpeting installed in her living room, so we needed the baby grand piano moved out to the garage for a week, then returned to the original spot. Enter Paco's Piano Movers. These guys are OG piano movers. A team of 3 arrived on time for both moves, prepared for stairs and distance. We only have 3 steps and about 40 yards to move, making our job a breeze for them. Francisco asked if we would need to play it during the week it would spend in the garage (no), so they went to work. Gently Tipped on its side and wrapped in blankets on a cart, they carefully removed the piano legs and pedal leg, wrapped them all and strapped them securely together on top. When they returned and moved it back, we tried a couple of locations and all agreed on the picture window. They tested the pedals, played a few bars on the keys, and were on their way. Total time for each move: 20 minutes. Courteous, efficient, professional. Good price. Recommended. read more
