The server, Briana, was one of the best I've had in a very long time. Personable, great smile, friendly, and knew her stuff. We ordered the brussel sprouts- they were great with a nice heat from the sauce. We had the crispy skin salmon, which came with a nice fresh salad, The skin was amazingly crispy and the flesh was flavorful. I asked Briana to surprise me with something good and boy did she deliver. It was their porkchop served over some super tasty mashed potatoes. Note that this is not how they are usually served, it was Briana's favorite way to eat this dish so she made the decision for me. The porkchop was very very good. Nice grill marks, onions, and a very nice cream-based sauce. This was so so good. They are doing great food at this new location and I will be back again.

It was absolutely delicious - one of the best meals I've had in a while. I was drinking iced tea, which came with a little mint kick to it - I no longer drink alcohol with meals, but they appear to have quite a few creative cocktails as well. While this is likely a higher end restaurant for the area, I found the price averaging about $70 per person all in, including drinks, tip and tax to be quite a reasonable value overall. With wonderful service, incredible food, reasonable prices, and a beautiful dining room, this is certainly a place that I'd revisit again when traveling through or to Richmond.

The menu has so many tempting options that it was hard to choose, but we both landed on the Hot Chicken Sandwich with cayenne butter--and we're glad we did. It had the perfect amount of heat: enough to bring some spice without overpowering the flavor. On the side, I ordered the green beans after our bartender/server highly recommended them. Normally, green beans wouldn't be my first choice, but they were seasoned perfectly and ended up being one of the biggest surprises of the meal. My partner chose the mac and cheese, which was the superior side (although both were excellent). The service was friendly, attentive, and genuine throughout the evening. Despite arriving on a Friday night without a reservation, we had no trouble getting a table. They only accept reservations for parties of 5-8, so I'm glad we decided to take our chances. One of my favorite parts of the evening was chatting with another guest at the bar. He and his wife shared several entrées with their young son, and they couldn't stop raving about the short ribs--which their son happily claimed for himself by the end of the meal! They also highly recommended the salmon, so we've already got ideas for our next visit. The only real downside has nothing to do with the restaurant itself: parking in Scott's Addition can be a challenge. I'd recommend allowing yourself some extra time to find a spot or, even better, taking a rideshare so you can start enjoying your evening right away. Lunch. My sister and I didn't have to wait long at all. Every one behind the booth was working hard to make sure we were all taken care of quickly and with courtesy. It seemed like a family affair and I love seeing more entrepreneurial Filipino families sharing their take on Filipino food. The flavor of the wings and sisig were delicious; I inhaled them really. My only thing was I wish there was a little more sisig and a little less onions in the tacos. But, I have a hearty appetite, so this might just be me. Otherwise, I really like what they're doing and will be back for more wings and sisig. They are definitely worth checking out. Look forward to seeing what they come up with next!

A little sweet, a little savory and delicious. The fresh pickled veggies were also amazing. They were still crisp with that snap that you really want with pickled foods. Chicken Shawarma was definitely my favorite since it had slightly different pickled vegetables. They were both good, but the chicken was definitely my favorite by just a touch. The bread was a little hard and chewy for my likings, it definitely stood up to the creamy sauce and the juicy pickled vegetables, but it almost hurt my teeth if you just had a dry spot that hadn't been soaking in some form of liquid. The house cut chips are just OK, nothing special by themselves, but that trio of dipping sauces was amazing. We were dipping our fries into it because we liked those a little better than the chips, but we ate almost every drop of that sauce trying to figure out which one was our favorite. one of the hot sauces is blueberry and very sweet with a mild spice, one is I think mango and not spicy initially, but when you swallowed, you definitely felt it burn in the back of your throat. It was a nice sneaky heat, which I love. And the third dipping sauce, we could not place, but we literally could not figure out which one we loved the most. They have a patio outside with lots of tables, but we did not go out there. It looks cute in the pictures though. The downside, is that while the service was very great, if you catch them out a bad time, they don't yet seem to be able to handle huge amounts of orders. They've only been open for about two months, I think, so that will come in time. It seems that they only have one guy cooking in the back, so we were unluckily there at the same time as a table of eight people. If we had all the time in the world, I could have sat and stared at the decor for ages. But unfortunately, if you are on a lunch break or have to be somewhere, they could potentially be so backed up it takes quite a while to actually get your food. It was a rare and random set of circumstances, and probably does not happen often, and she generously comped our chips which was not necessary but was very appreciated. The service here is absolutely top-notch. We will definitely be back for more of that delicious Shawarma. Definitely earlier in the day though, so we can sit as long as we want.
