Walked into an empty restaurant at lunch time. Someone came out to greet me quickly and took my order. I ordered myself a medium spice papaya salad (lao style), sticky rice and chicken wings. The portion for the papaya salad is small compared to other places. I do like that they serve it along with a few chicken pieces. Chicken wings always go well with the salad. Don't mind my terrible photo as I started eating and then took a picture since it was worth sharing! I tried the Pad See Ew with Duck and it was so delicious! The duck skin was so crispy and the meat was so good. The noodles were well seasoned and delicious I did the level 5 spicy and it was the perfect amount of spicy where you get the kick but aren't suffering the consequences. I would recommend this place to anyone and definitely plan on bringing my wife's and friends here. Also, I did go during the week at dinner time and they only had take out that day but it was still worth taking it home The place seems family run and I would want to continue going here so please check this place out. Had high hopes for proper Thai food, apparently hard to find states side and again, I was disappointed. The Laad was good if a little salty. But they were no lettuce leaves to rap it in. My husband has been here several times in the past, and was finally able to take me to try it out! I got the tofu pad Thai, and he got to try the pineapple fried rice. She bit into her pad Thai and it was so spicy she couldn't eat it. No the orders weren't confused, hers was spicy, like they made mine before hers and transferred the spice to hers. Yay they reopened after changing hands and the food still tastes just as good! The new owner is family of the previous owner who still comes in to help from time to time, after chitchatting with the current owner now. The chef and our server (Ken?) were amazing! The chef cooked everything so well. We had fried rice, pad kee mao (drunken noodles with basil), egg rolls and Laotian papaya salad. Everything still tastes good like before! Our server was very thoughtful and attentive. We went with our kiddo and the server asked if we needed more napkins, straw cup for the kid, etc. he also opened up the plastic bag for us instead of just handing it out when we're boxing up our food. I've been here many times and the food is always good except for a couple days ago when I ordered take out for a birthday and the food was bland and colorless. We all ordered pad Thai with chicken level 3 spice and the lady on the phone was rude and seemed to be in a rush. When we got the food the pad Thai was a light yellow with no flavor and no spice level! I don't understand the point of ordering ahead if the food is going to be given like they made it in 3 mins. Worst experienced I've had with them. I would recommend checking your food before leaving and assuring they give you spices on the side. read more

This is the fourth or fifth time we've been here and the food doesn't disappoint. Food is tasty- every dish - is delicious. I don't know how they do it, the egg rolls are delicious with vermicelli tiny noodles - so good. The noodle dishes Pad See Ewe and Mao (flat wide rice noodle) something was amazing! The curries are awesome too! My 2 daughters got the Massoman Curry- which has so much delicious flavor and the Duck curry that comes with a duck leg and thigh with crispy perfect skin and the curry also just hits the spot. Very delicious Thai food joint in Escondido. I like the simple and clean decor on the inside. The bathroom is also very neat and tidy for a hole in the wall. The staff are very friendly and are reasonable about splitting checks. I think the food is good as well but -1 for the portions for the price compared to other Thai places. I decided to try out a new Thai restaurant since I love Thai food so much, so I decided on doing a pick up order here since I was in the area. I was in and out super quick, as the door said closed and I was worried I would be locked out, but it seems they are open for online orders during their "closed" hour. The 2 people at the counter quickly greeted me and pointed me to the table up front where my order was, no contact pickup which was nice. The food was hot and fresh, and it smelled great- I ordered the pad kee mao noodles with shrimp and a spicy 7. Great flavor from the fresh vegetables to the sauce and the shrimp, and you get a great portion of food for the price. I can't wait to stop by and try out more dishes. read more

We used to love this place and had been going here for last few years but with new owners the food is no comparison. We ordered larb which had little to no basil. The Thai style papaya salad had no green beans and used withered/over-ripe regular tomatoes vs cherry tomatoes. The Lao papaya salad was ok but also used old tomatoes. The sticky rice we ordered was not sticky rice but seemed to be steamed rice or a mix of the two. Lastly the panang chicken curry was very watery and had little to no coconut milk or chicken. It was primarily green beans. I'm hoping the food returns to its previous quality but unfortunately for now we will ordering elsewhere. read more

Sadly the on floor manager, Nick, now claiming to be the owner in today's conversation, will not honor a gift card our friend bought for us a few months back. Nick is very agressive, harsh, and sadly not a good face for this amazing restaurant. Our family has been eatting here for 3 generations ever since they opened. We have watched several sets of family member take over operating this family business, and have loved ever member prior. However, Nick is an unfortunate one. With a gift card receipt stating Nick's name, he denies selling a gift card to anyone but one person. Nick has unfortunately ruined our favorite family restaurant. If the real owner ever reads this, I hope we can work something out. My recommendation, eat somewhere else. Its not worth the gruff service and the potential to get screwed. :/ read more

Been wanting to eat thai food since last week and today on the way home finally ordered something to satisfy my craving. Beef Pad See Ew level 6 oh my gosh so spicy but it's really good though. I guess level of spicy depends on the cook moods cuz the last time I said Level 6 was not that spicy. giving 8 out of 10 Thai Fried Rice Level 1- give it 9 out of 10 Eggplant or Garden Eggplant with Ground Chicken. Guys if you like eggplant "DEFINITELY NOT THIS" They should change the name on the menu to "String Beans" they only give you few eggplant and mostly it's string beans. So yeah that was disappointing- giving it 0 on this Eggplant out of 10 The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars it's because the food is really good and tasty. Customer service is great read more

Typical local Thai restaurant. We came for the lunch special and fresh spring rolls. Nothing really exciting. Lunch special comes with soup, salad, and an egg roll. The soup was tofu-light and refreshing. Salad came with ranch dressing... I thought this was a little odd and don't feel like ranch goes with Thai food but it's that's just my opinion...
