Each time, I had no idea if my jewelry had any value; BUT happily I sold items, and . was satisfied with the price. I'm very pleased with this recommendation that I was given by a friend of mine, we had some jewelry, gold, and silver, and some platinum, also some coins. I called and made an appointment with Matt , he gave me instructions on how to get there where I could park, Street parking. Also, he was very generous with the knowledge of buying and selling gold and silver . He gave us great prices , we felt that they were fair. Wrote me a check right away , I told him I had more things at home once I dug them out I could come back, I ended up going there three times altogether. If the scale allowed 6 stars, I would be giving Matt all 6 for certain. Prior to setting an appointment I did a lot of research on places to sell my items. I read these and other reviews and landed on Matt's establishment and I am glad I did. Prior to my appointment, Matt sent me an email with helpful information. That was a pleasant surprise. The office itself was clean as whistle and I mean to say it was pristine. I could tell immediately that Matt was conducting a business as a professional. Matt was extremely knowledgeable and while other places seemed to only be interested in separating my items from me for as little as possible, Matt seemed genuinely interested in the history of a few items. In fact, while he made the best offer he could for a couple especially nice pieces, he actually talked me out of selling them to him and instead encouraged me to pursue other avenues so that they would go to someone who would use them. It was refreshing to come across Matt and see the professionalism with which he conducts his business. Its truly a rarity these days. If you are considering selling things, give Matt a call. You will be glad that you did. Parking can be a bit tricky as the restaurant next door eats up all the spaces during the midday. I just parked it in Trader Joe's parking lot and hoofed it the one half block to Matt's office. The total time I was there was perhaps 30-45 minutes so I don't think TJ's will care. Matt's prices were higher then other places for the most part. That combined with the cleanliness and awesome professionalism make this the only choice in my opinion. Summary: Honest and fair Review: If you want to go to someone because you don't want to be taken advantage of, this is the place. I recently lost my job and needed to sell some of my scrap gold and silver. I went to a business that was local to me and they reviewed my jewelry and came back and told me my silver wasn't real. They were clearly trying to take advantage of me so I said I would go to another shop as all my pieces were clearly marked. I made an appointment with Matt and went in with my pieces. He was quick, and within 10 min. he had tested all my pieces and I was on my way. He was professional, polite, and accurate with current pricing. I had done a rough estimation on the value of everything as I have some novice experience in it and was close to what I had expected. I was very please. Not to get in specifics but during our transaction he had made a small error and instead of making it my problem, he took the hit unordered to be as honest as possible.
