1 Star - Avoid at All Costs Padder Health Services has been a nightmare for my 90-year-old uninsured grandmother. They've billed her the same claim number (1050482) over and over for months with different amounts -- $325, $340, $191, $166 -- all for the same "routine" visit. Every appointment was the same: a quick chat, no improvements, but coded and billed like high-complexity cardiology. When we asked about a payment plan, the office managers refused and shamed us, saying we were "taking care away from other patients" because she couldn't pay thousands upfront. They also tacked on extra fees instead of helping. This isn't care -- it's predatory billing that leaves vulnerable elderly patients scared to seek treatment. We've since filed formal complaints with the Maryland Attorney General and the Maryland Board of Physicians for potential upcoding, repeated billing, and discriminatory conduct. If you care about your loved ones, do not bring them here. Try Luminous Health in Annapolis instead -- they treat patients like people, not ATMs. read more

My wife and I both deeply appreciate the professional yet personalized experiences that we have had at the hands of Dr. Salman Shafiq and his assistant Dominic, in the internal medicine department.Time after time they have both gone out of their way to provide professional courteous service and take a deep personal interest our welfare. The level of service provided by the Padder Health office leaves much to be desired. I received concerning test results on Saturday and left a message for Lisa Meade since then and no one called me. I called again today and keep reaching the call center. You cannot talk to this office, only the call center. It's really terrible. Finally they routed me to the physician's assistant and he was so rude and hung up the phone on me. I went to the Columbia Maryland and was asked by the doctor if I smoke crack, cocaine or weed. I was shocked being a blacked women it did not matter that I was there to establish care. I don't recommend this medical office and will be following through with a formal complaint. Laurel office: Horrible horrible horrible service. The reception lady and some of the medical assistants are the best part of the staff. Dr Carlo (cardiologist is friendly and hears your concerns) Dr Chang seems more open to your suggestions and asks the right questions most of the time. Outside of them, I am very dissatisfied with the service, manners, lack of professionalism when you speak with someone on the phone, doctors not calling you back, waiting weeks (WEEKS) for a medical assistant to call you with results and disregard any questions you have about it. Columbia Office: Was there once, got the first appointment, was there 5 minutes before schedule time, doctor Nazir showed up 30 minutes after my scheduled appt, only then I was moved to a room to get my vitals and I still had to wait another 20 minutes to be seen. My whole time in the waiting room, I heard personal and office gossip by the 2 ladies talking behind the counter. I am done with their service, there still has to be good doctors with good bedside manners that care for their patients specially when suffering chronic pain. Please hire better staff, we spend more time with them than with doctors, their service matters!!! read more

Been with Padder Health for like 6 years but this last experience was so bad that I saw a shady business dealing behind their practice: My annual-physical and the follow-up are included in my health insurance so no co-pay. But then the doctor asked to speak w/ me for another follow-up (follow-up #2) that was 2 days within that first follow-up. This last follow-up was literally a less-than-5 minute call that she was late to (I had to track her down) and they charged me a visitation charge for that call! Tried to fight it for a few months and then finally frustrated that I just paid the $25 co-pay and told the dude I'm not using them again. read more

Dr. Edisa Padder listens to you and tries her best to take care of my sick children. I really appreciate her knowledge and kindness. 5 stars!!! But! The staff there makes it a 1 star! No smiles, never calls you back, sometimes rude, etc. i wish they would hire new people. read more

I have been to plenty of hospitals and doctors. Dr. Padder and his staff are just outstanding! From the front desk to inside staff, they are very friendly. I would not recommend Padder Health (cardiology) at all. I encountered so many issues including ​extremely poor communication from the office, lack of returning phone calls, a technician who recorded my blood pressure without even taking it, another tech who did not change his gloves after stepping out of the room for a few minutes then returning to put in my IV. At best it is sloppy, at worst it's downright dangerous. I'm very grateful I do not have a cardiac issue that needs additional care. I am a patient at this office sadly and have not be able to receive the care I need because of a a deranged front desk associate, it is a man who doesn't state his name on the call, is extremely rude and short on the phone. Who hangs up on me and lies about doing what he says he's going to do over the phone. I called on 04/01/24 to get a referral from my doctor because I am 6 weeks pregnant and need a OBGYN and was told by this man I was going to receive a email from a medical assistant. Never received an email. I called again today on 04/02/24 to request the same thing and was quickly rushed off the line and told that I can speak with "the medial Assistant " then I the line hangs up. I called back again confused on why I was just hung up on and my need were not met and I was then hung up on AGAIN. So this is 3 times now I call my doctors office trying to get some help for my unborn freaking child and this is the kind of customer service I receive. Extremely upsetting and disturbing that you allow someone to basically run your business picking and choosing who they want to help and when they want to do their jobs. I will be changing offices and filing a complaint through BBB AND MY INSURANCE. I expect a response to this message asap. read more

Victoria was friendly and helpful. While waiting for my 1:00 tele-visit to start, she informed me the Dr. Kay runs 40 min behind on a regular basis because she likes to spend a lot of time with her patients. I was told to sign on at 1:15 for my 1:00. At 1:31, I called the office to see when Dr Kay would get on. At 1:32, Dr K said she was reviewing my chart and would be on in 5 min. At 1:47, I thanked them for their time and told them to take my physical off of the Feb schedule because I had a 2:00 patient and would not make my patient wait. If you don't mind waiting, this may be the practice for you. read more

I'm torn about this place. I wish I could rate the office staff and my doctor separately. I'll start by reviewing my doctor, Kendra Kay. She has been my primary care physician for about two years now. I am a huge fan. She is extremely compassionate and does a great job of listening to my concerns. She always explains my diagnoses to me and talks about treatment options in depth and really involves me in the decision-making process. She is very competent and knowledgeable. She knows what she is doing, and she is good at what she does. The office staff, on the other hand, seems to not be quite as competent. I hate to give them a bad review because they are always very friendly and polite with me--they just can't seem to run the office very efficiently. Wait times are ridiculous. I have had to wait 45 minutes after my appointment time to see the doctor. Furthermore, every time the office has told me that they sent the lab order to LabCorp electronically, it wasn't there when I went to LabCorp for my bloodwork. I'm not sure how or why this breakdown in communication happens, but it needs to be resolved. Frankly, I wish Dr. Kay would change practices and go to an office that is operated more efficiently. I highly recommend her, and, to me, her expertise is worth dealing with the incompetence of the office staff. read more

Dr. Edisa Padder and her staff are wonderful. She patiently answers your questions and understands the concerns of parents with young children. When my kids were sick from overseas traveling (gastrointestinal), both Dr. Padder and her staff, Inae called to follow up and see how they were doing. We aren't the type of parents to overreact, but when we need to reach her after hours/weekends, we can get in touch through the answering service and she calls right back. She was even at the hospital the day both of our children were born. I highly recommend taking your young ones to Dr. Padder. We usually take our kids to the Columbia location, but we've visited the Laurel location as well. read more

The Columbia office is great I have nothing negative to say! When Dr Padder is not available to see my kid the nurse practitioner is her back up and is willing to see my child the staff on both office are wonderful they truly love their job. read more

Extremely poor billing practices. Went for and annual physical and got a bill for over $ 500.00. Before scheduling my visit I asked how much it would cost and they informed me that my insurance would pay 100% of the bill. Next thing I know I am getting a bill for $ 118.50. I have been a nurse for 30 years and will never return to this office. Avoid at all cost. Very poorly operated. The doctor billed $ 60.00 for the EKG, $ 250.00 for some biological extremity study when I have no problems with my extremities. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE THIS IS A TERRIBLY RUN PRACTICE. read more

Horrible wait times... Total wait time, 50 mins...total time with the doctor, 10 mins. The doctor was nice, Dr. Kay, but why did I wait 50 mins before you then tell me I had to go wait another hour to get my lab work? All she did in the office was ask me a bunch of questions, duplicating everything her nurse just asked 15 mins prior. Wasting people's time is probably why we hate going to the doctor. Okay, so there is a lot to hate about this place, but there are a few bright spots. The receptionists are absolutely terrible, they literally do not know what they are doing. It took them 30 minutes to figure out my insurance situation. However, once all that was taken care of, the MA, I think his name was Sayed, did a very good job accommodating me and making sure everything was set up. Also, Dr. Padder was amazing and genuinely a very sweet and nice person. These 2 singlehandedly made my experience at this place worth it and are the only reason I would go back. Doctors here are always overbooked. They screw up your prescription refills, extremely long wait times, and that was the pros.

Dr. Feroz Padder is a great cardiologist! He knows his business very well! He is very thorough, takes his time and explains diagnosis and listens to questions. He is personable and has a good sense of humor. I feel strongly confident in his care. I've recommended him to family and friends. Dr. Gulshin Nazir is a fine family physician! She's not hasty, listens well, is compassionate and has a good sense of humor and she explains things well. She knows her business well. Emerson Chang PA - listens well and has a good sense of humor. He explains diagnosis well and is intent on giving good care and he does! My experience with Padder Health Services has always been exceptional. I've been with them since 1997. Sometimes I've had to wait an hour or so before seeing Dr. Nazir, however, when it comes my turn, she always gives me the time I need. i don't mind waiting as long as I get the care I need. To me a longer wait time can also mean that the doctors are giving other patients the care they need. read more

The receptionist and supervisors are atrocious. They don't understand how insurance works. You can tell them what your insurance company said but they will argue with you and not assist you in any way. The supervisor was unprofessional and told me to cancel my appointment instead of assisting me. They need to revamp their receptionist and the supervisors there because they are incompetent. read more

I would strongly recommend Dr. Edisa Padder as a pediatrician. She has been unbelievable in taking the time to explain things related to my daughter's care. She has privileges at Howard Count Hospital and made a point to visit us several times after her birth, explained things in an easy to understand manner, provided different options with her recommendations for care, and really takes into consideration the entire family. We were able to easily get appointments with her in the Columbia Office and were taken back within 10minutes of arriving and I am assuming that was because of filling out new patient paperwork. Both the nurse and receptionist were wonderful, very kind, and attentive. The office seemed smaller, but was very clean and comfortable. There were not many people waiting in the office during our visit as well and seemed to move quickly through anyone who was waiting. read more

I recently visited their office in Columbia, MD. The doctor, Kendra Kay is great. She explains things and answers my questions patiently. However, the office staff is not as competent and patient. They were generally rude and inattentive. If I could give no star, I would certainly do so. In addition, the office is small and crowded. When I went in, I had a kind of feeling that the rooms are insanitary. When I made an appointment, I specifically said that I meant to make an appointment for annual preventive check-up. Appointment made and later I found out the appointment and bloodwork were made and billed as regular office visit. I called their billing office to ask them to correct the billing code to annual preventive check-up, was transferred to the front office and I was treated badly, was accused that I misunderstood their policy, and there was nothing they could do. I cancelled my follow-up appointment and do not plan to go back. As some other reviewers, I wish Dr. Kay would change practices and go to an office that is operated more efficiently and the staff could be nice to the patients. read more

Similar to my experience at Padder Health Services' Laurel office, I was made to feel at home in the Columbia 100 Parkway office today. I was greeted as soon as I entered by personable staff. My insurance information was verified, I paid for my visit, and after 60 seconds, was called by a friendly nurse to a room to update my health record since last visit, obtain vital signs, then on to see Dr. Ferroz Padder. As usual, Dr. Padder was kind and welcoming. He asked specific questions about my overall health and cardiac symptoms, medication, listened thoroughly to my responses, provided me with his medical perspective, discussed follow-up plans, re-ordered my medication, checking to be sure I am still using the same pharmacy, then I made my follow-up appointment on the way out. All of this in under 1/2 hr.! In addition to Dr. Padder's friendly, efficient staff, each of Dr. Padder's offices are conveniently located. His Columbia office is just off of routes 29 & 100 and his Laurel office is easily accessible from route 1, I- 95, 29, and even 295, with free, on-site parking.
