We took a kayak tour at 10:30 and it was about 2 hours. Our tour guide, Keith, was really chill and cool, he knew a lot about the area and marine life, so that was great. You get to go all through the mangroves which we're super cool. We didn't see much wild life but you can't control nature but we did see mangrove crabs, sting rays, jellyfish and some birds. A fair warning this is a workout between paddling and navigating the mangroves. I would recommend this to anyone that is coming to the keys. Also fun fact when you book a tour you can use the paddle boards or kayaks all day! read more

It was gorgeous from start to finish! It was our first time doing paddle boarding. They do have a tour guide, but we like things at our own pace and chose to do the rentals. Everyone was so nice in the shop, a lot of sunblocks and options for your comfort. Absolutely suggest grabbing a hook-on water bottle from their shop, it clips right on to your board. You'll need it. Bring sunblock, water, a dry bag, and a good attitude. You're in for some exercise today and breathtaking sights! read more

Today, under the advice of David at the visitor center, we did the guided eco tour of the mangroves and manatees. Fabulous trip and a bit of a workout as well. We got to our "destination" and had an Opportunity to hop out of our kayaks and swim to cools off. Britney was a great guide. Plenty of interesting facts about why we need to maintain and preserve the beautiful mangroves. They are the starting place for many of our great fish species. Saw manatees, nurse shark, jelly fish and lots of small fish. Do you love our planet? Do this trip, you won't be sorry! read more

We did tour with Brittany she was very nice and informative.. took some great pictures for us . We saw some cool fish, manatees and mangrove. What an exciting trip as one of the other couples she was 6 months pregnant and in-front of us in the mangroves and some how her and her husband flipped over the kayak and was in water.. crazy!! Brittany kept her cool and got the lady to chill and her husband flipped the kayak back over and carefully got her back in!! The rest of the tour was calmer.. I recommend the tour!! read more

Great first-time paddle boarding experience! My friends and I did the sunset paddle board tour with Scott. He is a very informative and experienced tour guide. It was the first time paddle boarding for many of us, but he made it a very welcoming experience. Scott told us about the native ecosystems and fun facts about the sea animals that lived there. He picked up a jellyfish for us to see and touch, and pointed out a rare sighting of sea hares and baby lobsters. Since it was a windy day we couldn't do any water activity. But we were super lucky to have found this place to go through mangrove caves in kayak with Suzanne. Although $50 per person for 2 hours was a little too pricey, it was a beautiful way to explore the aquatic life and paddle around mangroves on a gorgeous morning. Since we had few people along with us we did not hear Suzanne talking at times when we were behind. But surely loved the clear water, weather and also we were left to explore the jelly fish pond by ourselves(if we wanted to) and that was the best part of the kayak. read more

Stopped in here while staying at Creekside hotel and highly recommend! Owner is very friendly and takes time to give directions on how to paddle board. Our kids loved it and he gave great directions to enjoy and afternoon paddling through the mangrove trees. We rented two paddle boards and two kayaks and price was very reasonable. 7/23/2016 - It's hard to reserve a paddleboarding tour in July because you do not know if it is going to rain or not. Luckily, it was a perfect afternoon. We called late morning to reserve their 2PM eco tour. They said we would be the only ones in the tour and just to come at 1:45 to get sign up and set up. (NOTE: When you check in on the YELP APP you get a free gift) The shop has everything under the sun, everything you could possibly need from bathing suits, to sun glasses, cameras, paddles, skateboards, etc.....Even if you do not use the services, you should at least stop by just to shop. After getting set up, we met up with our tour guide, Mike. He gave us a quick, very informative paddleboarding lesson. He grabbed a couple of waters for us and we were on our way. He was very patient with us and just had a calm vibe. He took great care of us and he was very knowledgeable of our surroundings, all the marine life, animals and plants. You can just tell that Mike loves what he does, he enjoyed it as much as us, if not more! PADDLE The Florida Keys is awesome. Check them out! read more

We booked the 2hr Kayak or Paddleboard Eco Tour through the Mangrove Ecosystem. We saw manatees and a nurse shark before getting to the mangroves, which were themselves stunningly beautiful. I booked a two hour eco tour today with my girlfriend. The booking and check in process were very easy and the website covered every question and concern. The facilities and equipment were all clean and well maintained. Even before getting to the water it was a great experience. Out group of 9 went out with a great guide. Steve took the time to learn something about each of us on the tour. His knowledge of the areas we paddled kept us all involved and the scenery was amazing. It was well worth every penny. I went back once again last weekend because it's the only place with this friendly and cool of a staff! Scott the owner is a great guy! His staff is very passionate about what they do. His shop is a great place to hangout and have an amazing paddle experience! I paddleboard although he does have kayaks as well. His new location is the perfect place due to it being on a canal smack between the bay and the ocean. You can't ask for much more. Took the Eco Tour with friends this afternoon. It was not only enlightening but fun. I have to give Betsy, our tour guide, credit for patiently and safely guiding some of us inexperienced kayakers. The group was pleasantly surprised when she announced that we could keep the kayaks for the rest of the day. I highly recommend this place to go kayaking or paddle boarding. The prices are great, the equipment is good shape and their location is perfect for going through little canals or to secluded little keys. Their staff is great. Steve is a super cool dude so talk to him. But all of them talked to us about where to go and gave us great recommendations and tips. We paddled to a small key that we had to ourselves. It has really cool wildlife like hermit crabs and puffer fish. Another day we went to Tavernier key (took us like 45 mins to paddle there) and chilled all day on the sand bar. We had a great experience with our daughter. At first I was very nervous to let my 11 year old daughter go alone on the paddle board. Brittney was there to save us! She asked if my daughter had swimming experience and all the right questions to make sure we can allow her to go alone. We came here to celebrate my wife's bday last Weekend. Very easy to find, great customer service, and tons of parking. This place has the best deals around for paddle board and Kayak rentals. The mangrove trails and island were pretty cool areas to hang out and enjoy the fresh air. Definely coming back soon. The only recommendation I would make is to explain the map a little better and/or include a copy for each group to view. We got a recommendation from Vicky at the tourist information and can't be happier about it! Sometimes unplanned excursions turn out to be the best. We rode a tandem Kayak and our guide was Rebecca. She made us feel safe and comfortable from the very first second. We are inexperienced so I was a little worried at the start, but she took that right away. We saw Manatees, she showed us large and little fish as well as crabs and jellyfish. We learned so many things about the mangroves, it was awesome!
