Stopped in here after the Snowflake Lane event. It wasn't full and we were able to grab a table in the covered outer area. They have PLENTY of heaters in here, so warmth isn't an issue. The carpet smell however, did at times, overwhelm my senses. I warmed up so much I traded seats to be near the edge of the cover which was cooler. Server was friendly, drinks were strong. Enjoyed the Irish Coffee, Cookie(?), and the bottled cider. All very good. Our family had the following: Fish and chips- big cuts of fish. Great breading. Comes with fries and slaw. Husband ate it all. He liked it. Bacon cheeseburger- it was a large(!) burger. Comes with fries. My son ate it all. Must have been good. French Dip with onion/peppers- Looked good, my daughter ate is all. Fries too. Lamb skewers- I had this dish since it is gluten free. The menu designates gluten free and vegan options. The skewers of lamb were served on top of mashed potatoes, topped with grilled onions/peppers, and served with a side of peanut sauce. I really enjoyed this small dish. It's small, but filled me up. Three skewers of lamb were tender, potatoes had good flavor, and the onions were perfectly cooked with just a bit of crunch. Very good! This isn't a huge place. This is the best little restaurant / bar combination in the area, IMO. The bartenders are attentive and friendly. The wait staff is quick and efficient while being friendly. The food is EXCELLENT and the drinks are good. Only one bad thing for which I cannot give this place 5 stars - there is only one restroom which is unisex, and it is nasty. They really need to have staff go in there every hour and clean it up, as it gets so bad that I wouldn't go in there with open-toe shoes for fear of getting stuff on my toes. Eww. It's such a good thing to volunteer. My friend and I participate in the 5th of July cleanup last year and got $5 vouchers for Paddy's! We held on to them for 364 days before finally using them on the 4th of July! I ordered some fish and chips which were delicious! The fish was perfectly crispy and could really hold its tartar sauce! It was a pretty big helping, too! I also ordered some Sprite with it and my total was $4.40. Awesommmme! My friend's total: $2. It also helped that we went during Happy Hour when the food was at a really good price. I will definitely come back for some more tasty treats! I sat at the bar and ordered iced teas and meatloaf for lunch today , while waiting I called my family via FaceTime. After two or three minutes the bartender told me to hang up or take my call outside. I ended the call and then tried to figure out where this no call policy came from. No sign posted, nothing on the menu, nothing on the website. So I asked the bartender, she rolled her eyes and said I was loud and annoying the two other customers at the bar. Note that there was Irish rock blasting through the speakers, I didn't think I was speaking louder than that but she said I was. Neither of the other customers said anything but a vendor who was waiting to get paid called the bartender's action heroic. I wonder whether it had anything to do with my wife and I conversing in Spanish, because I honestly cannot believe that we we were disturbing the other two patrons. We went for early Sunday lunch, we could go and pick any seating. We choose to sit outside patio, it has clear cover, good on a chilly windy day. We ordered fish and chips, corned beef with cabbage. But, I was pleasantly surprised to find that Paddy Coyne's had a large menu to accommodate a variety of tastes, even burgers. We started with drinks and I ordered the Irish Mule. 5 stars! This is a crispy, refreshing beverage to enjoy on a warm day out on the patio. Next, I had the Caesar Salad, which was just OK. The dressing was bland which made it somewhat unenjoyable. The wedge salad looked delicious though, so I'd order that next time over the Caesar. My friend ordered the Chicken pot pie, and she seemed to be pleased with her order. The top shell was flaky, which is what we all want in a chicken pot pie - right? I ordered the Irish Dip and highly recommend it. The corned beef had a unique taste of cinnamon and cloves which gave it a nice twist that I was expecting. In addition to such a tasty meal, we were given fantastic service by our server, Kimmy. Came here on Saturday 18th. I liked the Guinness chocolate cake so much the first time that I had to come back for it again. Unfortunately, it wasn't as good as the first time. The frosting was still cold. There wasn't that many customers there yet the server failed yet again to check up on us. The best part was the potatoes on top. The fish was really good but the fries are just wah wah. Next time I'll get Fish and salad instead. They have Harp and yummy Ireland cider; which is nice. The drinks can be slightly overpriced but hey...it's Bellevue. If you get em at hh--- it's cheaper. They have both an early night and an after 10pm hh everyday. Beware: the hh portions are small-- so you may need to order 2 if you eat a lot. My biggest peeves with this place in general-- the service. Sometimes it's just off. Just 2 stars for the HH bites but I've only ever been here on weekend nights for happy hour and drinks, so my review may not depict what they're like the rest of the day and week. Happy hour food is pretty good and prices are reasonable ($5-$10?) I normally get the fish and chips, beef stew or shepard's pie (these 2 are nearly the same), some fries and a beer. The HH fish and chips just comes with one giant piece of fish, a side of slaw, and a mountain of fries for like $7. The beef stew/shepard's pie are both pretty big portions and come with Irish soda bread which I absolutely LOVE! So I'm a fan. I wish I could say this place is a quick bite but the service literally sucks. It's normally that girl who pays more attention and flashes more smiles at the giant party of guys at the table next to me and my boyfriend who are just trying to grab some food and go. read more

Fortunately I like it when my salads aren't drenched with dressing.. however, it was just that.. lettuce with a bit of dressing.. not anything else really on it.. some specs of tomatoes - The Fish and Chips: Tasted frozen.. and mind you.. this is only ONE piece of fish... we ordered the chips to the praties and gravy (seems like poutine), which was was served with cheese and gravy. But there was barely any drizzle.. just the top 2 fries.. so no much going on there... -The Sliders: For HH, you can choose 2 and it's also served with fries. I had the meatloaf and the chicken slider. TINY.. these things are literally reminded me on those mini sliders from the frozen section of the grocery store. Dry, flavorless, and of course more bread than filling. The service was not great nor bad.. it was a seat yourself, take your order, and here's your food kind of deal.. so can't comment too much on that part. We had just killed an obscene amount of sushi and had to kill an hour before our movie and decided to hit up the new Irish pub. So I wasn't really hungry, but I spied "Soda Bread" on their menu. I "Effing" love Irish soda bread. I love bread period, but the first time I had soda bread, it was a special moment. Almost religious... Before I tell you about my soda bread, I'll just note that the owners spent a good amount of money on dark woods and a mission on trying to make the former green tea shop an authentic Irish pub. Drink prices are what you would expect from Downtown Bellevue - higher than average. Service was prompt and drinks are drinks. I think it's a great spot, but can get a bit crowded and loud as the restaurant/bar is on the smaller side. Okay, on to my beef. I caved in and even though I was full, ordered a full loaf of soda bread. I figured I could always sneak it into the movie in lieu of pop corn. To make a long story short, the soda bread was still frozen. I mean I've worked in restaurants before where they would freeze bread, but I mean this was really bad. The loaf came sliced, so I know whatever half-ass cook in the back had to have felt the hard frozen parts as he was slicing it. Also, compared to Kell's soda bread, this tasted like dry cardboard. From what I can gather from all the other reviews, the food here sucks. If it wasn't for their location and their liquor license, I'd say this place is going to end up as another statistic. Rent's gotta be expensive and the owners obviously spent money on the interior...why the heck don't they get a real chef in the kitchen? Sad. That's all I got to say about that. read more

We've been coming here for Tuesday Trivia Nights for over a year now which is always tons of fun. Mind you, we are truly pathetic and suck so badly at it yet we still continue to come and get creamed by all the Bellevue smarty pants people who attend! I guess sometimes in life, winning is not everything, right? OK sure... So the last few times we've come to a Trivia Night, I noticed the questions are becoming increasingly more difficult so if you're up for a great brain challenge, this is the place to check out on Tuesdays at 730. Along with trivia we order drinks and dinner as well here. The food always comes out quickly and is usually pretty decent - it is your typical pub food with a strong Irish spin as one would suspect. The soda bread is awesome, the fries are fantastic and the veggie burger is OK though another veggie item would be freakin' fantastic! The service is also consistently great - no complaints there. Tonight during Trivia, we had a slight misunderstanding and we asked to speak to the manager who addressed our issue very well. Our table really appreciated how professional she was so we will definitely continue to come back, though that was a close call there. Overall this can be a fun spot with a lot of people attending Trivia Night so make sure to get here early so you can find an open table! They have a nice selection of Whiskey and Bourbon- but the problem is- when you get your tab- the prices are $1 to $2 more per drink than they state on the menu. The curry fries ... yummmm I've never eaten here except on one night after getting in on a cold cold night when I was wearing shoes that were not very insulating and the Seattle night breeze was biting and I was on a bus. The grilled cheese then was brilliant. Of course, at that time, anything hot would have been brilliant.
