Decided to get together with a friend for happy hour. We ordered the chips and salsa and fried tofu for appetizers and both were extremely fresh and tasty! I had the peach Bellini which was amazing and followed it up with the mango margarita which was excellent as well. We ended our mini food rendezvous with a very tasty crème brûlée cheesecake and some chamomile tea. The incredible food was complemented by exceptional service. We came here to celebrate a 50th birthday and had the most amazing dining experience in one of their private back rooms for our group of 19. We had reserved the day of and were so shocked at the level of service on such short notice! The food was absolutely outstanding. The shrimp and scallop spaghettini and truffle ravioli was so delicious, and the truffle fries were a huge hit. The drinks were equally impressive--the guava margarita was fantastic, and the whiskey sour was incredibly well-made. To top it all off, Vivian brought out the most beautiful and delicious dessert platter complete with a "Happy 50th" message. The cheesecake and chocolate cake were a huge hit from the tray! What really blew us away, though, was the service. Managing a party of 19 is no easy task, but the service was incredible and all of our dishes came out together, which was so impressive for such a large group. Updating my review. I set up a reservation with friends here for a dinner while in town. I have been to this chain many times across Canada and at this location. Had a great dinner service here with amazing, attentive service. I had a ribeye with shrimp. I ordered medium rare and got close to medium, and the broccolini was quite salty, but nothing to complain about to the house. I don't get this place. The atmosphere is fun but the service is so strange. The last time I was here, the server spilled prosecco on me. I had to ask for a set of utensils bc after wiping up the table, she didn't think to replace my sticky utensils . Fine. This time, we were sat for brunch for our 11am reservation. They explained the brunch menu and 1/2 bottle offerings. We ordered a bottle and were told they were out of the chilequilles, but everything else was available. After a few minutes, we were then told they weren't serving brunch anymore but would honor the 1/2 priced bottle. What?! We asked why and the server didn't know... said that's what the kitchen told her. She went back to ask them and came back to say they would serve us brunch but no one else. Ummmm... lol, ok!! To make it even more disappointing, the medium poached egg on my dish was overcooked and basically hard boiled. And my dish was cold. So disappointing. I don't get this place. read more

Wish I could give 0 I visited Earl's on June 24 to celebrate my birthday. This was my third time celebrating my birthday at Earl's, and until this visit, I had always enjoyed my experience. Unfortunately, this visit was by far the worst dining experience I've had. Our server, whose name was Brandon (or Bran, I'm not completely sure), a tall white gentleman, was slow throughout the meal and made us feel extremely uncomfortable from the beginning. His facial expressions, sarcastic smile, and the way he looked at us made us feel unwelcome. We ordered pasta and asked for a serving spoon. Instead of bringing the proper utensil, he brought an oversized soup ladle. It was obviously not meant for serving pasta. When I asked if he had done that intentionally, he smiled and said, "Yes." Seriously, who serves pasta with a giant soup ladle? It felt insulting rather than humorous, and it completely ruined our dining experience. Later, I mentioned that I'm a food blogger. Instead of responding professionally, he dismissively said, "So what? What does it mean to be a food blogger?" His attitude throughout our visit was rude, sarcastic, and disrespectful. As Indian customers, the way we were treated made us genuinely feel singled out. I cannot say for certain what motivated his behavior, but the entire interaction left us questioning whether we were treated differently because of our background. No customer should ever leave a restaurant feeling humiliated, especially while celebrating a birthday. I have celebrated my birthday at Earl's before and have always recommended this restaurant. After this experience, I am deeply disappointed. I hope management reviews this incident, speaks with the server, and ensures that every guest is treated with courtesy, respect, and professionalism. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this location until these issues are addressed. After the racist incident at Earls, instead of taking accountability, they kept defending their staff and blaming me by saying it was just my perception. Went here with my boyfriend for Valentine's Day and it was honestly such a nice experience. We had a reservation for 9pm and it wasn't busy at all, so everything felt really calm and intimate. The ambiance was perfect for a date night -- dim lighting, cozy vibe, and the little rose on the table was such a cute touch. I really wish I caught our server's name because she was amazing. She was super sweet, attentive, and kept checking in on us without being overwhelming. Service like that really makes the whole experience better. The food was sooo good. The food we ordered were all amazingly delicious. It's a bit pricey but I'd say it's worth it. From the starters or appetizers menu I ordered the crispy chili tofu. I love the sauce, it paired very well with the tofu. If you like Asian food and happen to be here the Bibimbap is very good. You get that experience of having the slightly burned bottom rice from the pot. I also added my tofu to it which made it even better. My friend order the spicy Calabrian Pasta. She loved it, but she thinks it should be served hotter (temp wise). She said that is a personal opinion (smiling). Oh did I mention they have a great beverage selection? Wine, etc.... The service was great. When we came we were seated within 10 minutes. And our server Bryn, I think was here name, came right away. She was lovely. He had the Aburi Salmon Sushi Press to start, which he said was fresh and flavorful. For his main, he chose the Spicy Calabrian Pasta, a hearty dish packed with flavor. For dessert, he went with the Crème Brûlée Cheesecake delicious graham cracker crust and a scoop of ice cream on the side! I ordered the same special and started with the Charred Corn & Avocado Dip it was amazing! The flavor was on point, and my daughter and I ate it right up. For my main course, I had the Baja Tacos the piece of cod in each taco was a generous portion, and they were super filling. I also got the Crème Brûlée Cheesecake (even though I'm not usually a crème brûlée fan) and it was surprisingly delicious! My daughter ordered the Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl with extra tuna. Menu is typical of the these mid-end "American" restaurants, got a bit of everything from steak to sushi to tacos to pasta, and there's a decent sized drink menu. Got the mango cooler non-alcoholic mixed drink, and it was refreshing with the herbs. For appetizers we tried their chip + guacamole, some honey sesame ribs, and the calamari. All were decent. For my main, got their shrimp and scallop spaghettini. Has two shrimp and 4 pieces of scallop. Spaghettini tasted good. Overall, the food was decent. Prices are not cheap but not super expensive either. Main reason for only 3 stars is because they were slow with the food. Was 40+ minutes from ordering mains to actually getting them. I usually love Earl's -- it's one of my go-to spots for appetizers (especially the oysters) and entrées, so this experience really surprised me. We came in for brunch on Saturday (April 18 around 11am). Food-wise, everything was fine, and our waitress was amazing -- super friendly, accommodating, and really tried to help us throughout. The issue came when I tried to order steak and eggs to take out for my dog. We were told that wasn't allowed, and we could clearly see the chef in the kitchen -- male -- shaking his head no and looked upset. What didn't make sense was being told we couldn't take that dish to-go, and instead would have to order a different type of steak if we want to TAKE OUT. I've dined at plenty of places, including higher-end restaurants, and have never had an issue ordering something to take out while dining in. Also, small detail but worth mentioning -- oysters still had shells in it, which wasn't great. Overall, this policy felt really unreasonable and confusing, and it honestly put a damper on the experience. Would be good to get some clarity on whether this is actually a rule. read more

Earl's is a solid bar and restaurant in downtown Bellevue. I've gotten to go and sat inside and I am always really happy with my order. I have tried the steak frites and the steak and sushi and it was all really good! The appetizers are also great and delicious and thus have good drinks. My main complaint either this place is price.
