I have to reduce several stars because: 1. They charge garbage credit card transaction fees. Any percentage they charge will get deducted from tipping and discourage us from coming again. 2. They no longer validate parking in the garage behind it since several years ago. Street parking is limited and painful sometimes. 3. They exited Resy network a few years ago - that was one of the reasons we kept coming. 4. The food is still good but the quality is declining. The "+add brisket" option which costs $10 on top of the Mac and Cheese was the driest I've had in many years. I really dig this place - been a handful of times, both the NA and boozy cocktails are well done. Bar staff is knowledgable with a very well equipped bar - on a recent visit my wife didn't see anything that caught her mood and they happily made something else for her. Food has always been good, from apps to mains. I don't think I've had a burger here, yet...most recently I had the fried chicken, which had been well marinated and cooked - juicy, flavorful, plentiful. Vibe is always chill, here. Now that the weather's warming up, outdoor seating is available. I usually make a reservation, but my sense is for a couple one could almost always walk in without a rez and get seated quickly. 05/23/2026 Came here for weekend brunch which started at 10am. We got there at 10:05am and were the first ones. More people started to arrive closer to 11am. They had an Astrology-themed cocktail menu that seemed intriguing, but we had a lot of plans that day and didn't drink. I loved their bar setup with a rolling ladder to reach the top shelf bottles. For food, I got the Woodblock Benedict with house-smoked pork belly. I asked for the hollandaise sauce on the side since I don't like when my food is drenched in it. Their hollandaise was different - it had a thinner consistency and a hint of lemon. Overall a delicious meal. My friend got the Mama's Plate with bacon and enjoyed it too. Service was good - since we were the only diners for a little while, we got all of the attention. The entire staff was very professional and polite. Had a work dinner here a few nights ago and had a good time. The place has all sorts of different seating whether it's at the bar or a big group. I wasn't feeling like a big entree but I put together a fun little meal out of their falafel bites and tomato soup- both were really good. I appreciated that the service folks made sure I got some extra toasted bread with my soup. A coworker got the buttermilk fried chicken and it was an impressive serving. Also loved the extensive selection of whiskey, cocktails, and non alcoholic cocktails. Non alcoholic options really allow anyone to relax with a drink. But not me I had woodinville rye whiskey because it's a local fav. OH! We had pre-Cirque du Soleil brunch reservations as they opened. It's a cute place right by the park. The staff was super friendly and even shared some handmade knit heart necklaces! Yum, yum is honestly all I can think about when I remember today's burger and salad. We stopped here on our way to Costco and I'm so glad we did. We were seated right away, which is always a great start. I was really in the mood for a burger (me being genetically anemic, my body definitely craves red meat), so both my husband and I ordered the aged burger--mine with a gluten free bun and his lettuce-wrapped. We added avocado and jalapeño, and on the side we shared the beet salad. Holy moly... everything was so good. Nice stop at Woodblock this afternoon after a late morning meeting. Perfect for one that wanted breakfast and one that wanted lunch. Parking was a little work, but that's Redmond's fault! It's located right across the street from a park, so while we were eating outside we could hear the live music happening there. We started off with a charcuterie board to share which I would probably pass off on next time since it wasn't really anything to write home about. We visited on Saturday night, for dinner, with a group of four adults and two kids and it was a very nice experience. We arrived early and they had the table ready in seconds. The waitress stopped by and took drink orders. We tried Fall Harvest and Lost in Tijuana, both were very tasty. We started with a couple appetizers; The Deviled Scotch Eggs and the Charcuterie Board (added sardines and mousse). Both were well prepared and fresh. Strangely the sardines were simply in an opened tin, they might have presented them a bit better. After that we went with entrees; Caesar Salad and Tomato Soup, Pear Salad with Salmon, Steak and Blue Linguini, Brisket Gnocchi, and kids meals. All were excellent. The service was outstanding. The tacos were tasty and we were quite happy with the portion. The French Toast looked different than what we were expecting - the banana foster part wasn't what we anticipated. I'm in Redmond for a meeting and took the short walk to Woodblock. It was moderately busy but not loud. I opted to sit at the bar so I could marvel at the vast selection of whiskey! I chatted with the bartender and ordered an old fashioned with their own barrel pick of Elijah Craig Barrel Proof bourbon. I love the ECBF, so I was excited to try their private barrel. It was excellent. The bartender also recommended black walnut bitters, which happens to be my favorite, so I was all in. Great drink. They used a large clear ice cube for a great presentation. Highly recommend the cocktails! For dinner I tried their private barrel brisket gnocchi. The gnocchi were soft and delicious. The brisket nice and tender. I added burrata and it really made the dish. Outstanding dinner. After dinner I had another old fashioned. This time I tried Dark Arts bourbon that is finished in French oak rather than American oak. Really nice on the palate. Recently visited Woodblock for the first time after having it on my list for a while and I cannot say that it lived up to my expectations. Immediately things started on the wrong foot by the signage in the parking lot saying every business that uses that parking will validate your parking except Woodblock. We go in, don't have a reservation, didn't think we would need it, but we were sat at the "last open table" asap which was great. I don't know if it was because they weren't expecting that table to fill or what but it took a while to be greeted, get water and silverware. Woodblock also only have menus via QR code, which is a huge personal peeve for me, I don't want the very first thing people do when sitting down to socialize is to whip out our phones, plus a lot of people struggle with phone addiction so being forced to use it in a strictly social setting is a bad call for Woodblock in my opinion. The very first thing I noticed about the menu was how boring and limited it was. A small menu can be a sign of quality and discernment but when your menu is basically just bar food, burgers, salads, chicken and a few extremely predictable things like salmon some variety is really needed. Typically I avoid red meat so I enquired about the vegetarian option of the brisket and gnocchi option and was informed the dish is exactly the same sans the beef... I guess anything is vegetarian if you take out the meat but you'd expect it to be made to be a complete meal, like replacing the protein with mushroom or white beans or something. Since I didn't want a bowl of plain gnocchi in red sauce I ordered the fried chicken that comes with a cold pasta salad on the side, and arugula. First take was the chicken was enormous! Where did the find a chicken so large I will never know but the portion size was bonkers, especially considering how small the brisket and gnocchi portion was in comparison. The chicken was just ok, the honey sauce was used very sparingly and the breading was well made. The chicken itself, as huge as it was, was cooked well, nice and juicy, unfortunately it was completely unseasoned, it being so large also adds to the issue, it's a lot easier to brine smaller portions of chicken without over brining but this chicken wasn't seasoned at all and the breading was under seasoned if it was meant to carry the entire flavor. The pasta salad was like something from a grocery store deli section, very mid. Throughout there was very little service, maybe due to understaffing, it was busy. Dessert was ordered, a crème brûlée and despite two people sitting at the table we were supplied a single spoon, no sharing I guess! The crème brûlée was fine, nothing special and the berries served with it were sour. Finally we were given a polite "get lost" check sat on the still empty table text to us without us requesting the check. We hadn't been there long there was zero reason to rush us out. Frankly I don't know why this place was so busy. If you just want to get drinks and appetizers it's probably a pretty good option, aside from being understaffed, but for dinner? I would say pass. It's expensive and just not that great for a variety of reasons. read more

My sister brought me here after a long flight where all they served was a biscoff cookie and water. Needless to say I was hungry! We ordered a bunch of items (burger, Brussels sprouts, wings, and kale salad) but the Thai garlic wings were the stand out!! I wish they would use this sauce for the Brussels sprouts!
