One was rude, rushing and not really listening to a single thing we said. The other fail to refill our water three times, refusing to leave the pitcher for us because he "should be the one to do it". Wonderful time tonight! We're staying at Chateau Elan and the Pub was literally a hop skip and a jump. Super casual, seat yourself, band was awesome so expect it to be loud. Small, not a ton of seating but we were able to grab a spot in a corner tucked away. Our server Brent greeted us promptly and despite how busy they were served us attentively all night. All servers wore masks. Food was DELICIOUS! A little pricey but delicious. We totally could have shared an entree. Buffalo wings are spicy. Lemon pepper was seasoned well. I tried the Irish peach and it was pretty good. I was told by the server that it's sweet so they cut down on the peach schnapps and more whisky which I appreciated. My friend has the fish and chips. It was a B lot of batter on the chips but the fries were good. I had the cheesesteak which was pretty good. The beef was tender and seasoned nicely with the onions, peppers and cheese. An authentic Irish pub without corned beef and cabbage on the menu? This makes for a sad face; I think they removed it from Paddy's when Chateau Elan changed ownership, but their chefs should seriously reconsider adding a traditional entree like that back! I expected higher prices based on it being located on a resort property, but I'm not sure that the price matched the quality and portioning. The heaping pile of lemon rice under the salmon was severely bland and underseasoned, and the salmon while tasty, was overwhelmed by the sweetness of the BBQ sauce on top. Broccolini side was just fine. My date's cottage pie was delicious but not a very hearty portion. Never a complaint about service from anywhere at Chateau Elan - staff is always on top of their friendly and helpful game. If you're not a guest at the hotel, there are a few parking spots in front of Paddy's, otherwise, there are several others closer to the tennis courts, and strolling around the property is a fun diversion and way to walk off a few calories from the Irish grub and the beers. read more

A comfortable very casual spot at Château Elan. We liked our server. Didn't know here name but she had short grayish brown hair and a lovely smile and was extremely nice and attentive. Pub salad was fresh and good except all of heirloom cherry tomatoes were over ripe and had started to rot so we just took them off. They were a big part of a $24 dollar salad though that wasn't $24 big in size and had no protein besides an egg. The burger was good but I ordered it cooked medium and it came med rare and fries had obviously been reheated from cold fries cooked earlier in evening and were dried out and hard to chew. Would have gotten something else had I known especially for a burger and fries plate that was $26. We had a 6 or so oz glass of wine (very nice from Chateau Elan and a pint of beer. All came out to $85 w tip. I would have def tipped more (and would have gotten another round of drinks too but was just too expensive) but we felt overcharged w food that was lacking in effort from kitchen so we had a nightcap at home. We travel and eat out often at restaurants expecting to spend about $50 per person. For that we feel like they could step it up... -except for the server. She was great. After wine tasting and touring, I needed some food so decided on dining at Paddy's. I can never pass up the opportunity to eat fish and chips so it was an easy decision. Paddy's is located right next door to the winery so it's a perfection option. The pub has seating inside and outside and they're open 7 days a week. The menu included your traditional Irish fare but at prices that were a little too high in my opinion, the only reason for 4 and not 5 stars. Our group was immediately greeted as we entered and its open seating but the host recommended an area for a a group of 5. Our waitress was Amazing, great personality and accommodating. She gave recommendations and even brought out a sample of Irish cheese so someone in my group could determine if she wanted it on her sandwich. No that is outstanding service! I of course I ordered the fish and chips, the entree was $21. It was 3 large cod filets, pub fries and slaw. The fish was fried perfectly, not greasy and batter was seasoned. The pub fries were golden, seasoned and no ketchup was needed. The slaw was too bland for my taste. I was too full so had to skip dessert and yes, I was very disappointed (sad face). Next visit I'll start with dessert and order the Irish Bread Pudding. I definitely recommended stopping by Paddy's if you're in the area. Cool fact: Completely authentic, all of Paddy's furnishings and fixtures were created in Ireland. Stopped into Paddy's while visiting Chateau Elan and I cannot wait to go back! There were only 2 of us so we quickly got a table for 2. There is a small bar area as well if you're with a small group. My friend swore we had to try to Smoked Salmon Bruschetta and boy was she right! It was so refreshing, and really unexpected (as my go to for Irish is usually fish and chips)! We sipped on some of the wine from Chateau Elan before heading to the full wine tasting; the Velvet was my favorite - a red blend of Zinfandel and Petit Sirah. Went on a Saturday night looking forward to dessert, drinks and music. They were out of the bread pudding, out of several of the beers on tap and no music. The Bulldogs were playing football, I can understand about the music. I can also accept in the time of COVID, they are also out of some items. But, we ordered the chocolate cake with berries, it took the kitchen about 15 minutes to get it to us, with only one strawberry. We asked for more strawberries and it took another 10 minutes. The setting of the restaurant really embraces a classic and cozy Irish style pub. However, unlike most pubs I've been to, the grounds are so well maintained and clean. The food is all made in house, with no pre-made food items. The food does take a little while to come out to the table, but that is because everything is prepared and cooked as the orders come in. You can taste the freshness! I ate the veggie burger, and it was delicious. I've never had a veggie burger so good! I ordered the steamed broccolini on the side which was also great. The veggie burger is made with 100% vegetables and I admire that because most veggie burgers are soy based. The french fries were really delicious and I loved their thick cut. The mashed potatoes were delicious and creamy, and I loved that they left the skins on to add texture. The two other members of my party had the corned beef sandwich. I tried it and it was SO GOOD!
