    French Toast and Bacon

We went early on a Saturday morning at 9:30 so there was no crowd besides a father and child at the bar area. It did start to get crowded around 10AM with the golfers coming in for a quick bite. I had the French Toast and Bacon. The French toast literally tasted like nothing. If nothing had a taste it would be that French toast and berries! The bacon was nice and crispy tho 10/10! I did have a taste of my mom's breakfast wrap and it was decent, maybe I will get that if I were to go back. The scenery was very nice, that was probably the best thing about the experience! Server was good as well, nothing extraordinary to brag about but I have no complaints. Maybe I would come back to try lunch and dinner but as a person who loves breakfast that was definitely a no for me.

I wish I had a Sarazen location in my hometown! Sarazen is a casual dining experience with 360 degree views of the surrounding golf course greenery. It is a small location, however they serve up big flavors that made me come back twice during my stay at the Château Elan! Guests have a choice between sitting inside or outside. I recommend sitting outside because the views are so beautiful, but be warned that the flies will want to try the food just as much as you do! I ordered the Mahi Mahi Tacos after the hotel staff recommended it to me, and it was delicious! I ordered it both times I went to the restaurant. The dish comes with three tacos with either grilled or blackened Mahi Mahi, mango coleslaw, and drizzles of crema. Both styles of cooking the Mahi Mahi were great, but I enjoyed the grilled more! With any of their dishes comes a side of your choice and if you're reading this you NEED to get the waffle sweet potato fries! They are absolutely amazing and the way the chefs season it makes you never look at sweet potato fries the same way! Yum! The service and cleanliness of the restaurant is top quality and I hope to return someday soon!

All of the staff were really nice and we even ended up on the golf course afterwards.

What a great idea! I had forgotten how original and traditional the meals are, we were able to walk in with no reservation and get seated within 10 minutes where we all proceeded to order drinks and for me, Guinness! We started with a few pretzels with the beer cheese, which were fantastic. Then I was craving the Reuben, which was better than I even remembered. Not massively big but some of the best flavored meat I've had in a Reuben in a while. You can tell they cook it themselves and it was really super! Rest of the family bangers and mash and a lot of fish and chips, which is something they are known for. Great service, excellent cocktails, and the food was spot on. A great venue to spend the evening got home early to have a great weekend but so glad we came here Friday night. We live nearby and hardly ever come, and this was a real treat. Highly recommend.

I ordered the fish and chips, and it did not disappoint; crispy, golden batter on the outside with tender, flaky fish inside. Exactly what you want from this classic dish. The ambiance truly feels like a traditional Irish pub; warm, cozy, and inviting. It has that relaxed charm that makes you want to sit for a while and enjoy your meal. I'll definitely be visiting again the next time I stay at Chateau Elan. It's a great, dependable spot to settle in and start your trip off right

"There's something magical about rooftops. You feel like you're in 'Mary Poppins."…read moreGeorge Clarke There really is something special about being on a rooftop on a perfect summer evening, and it's great to have it right in downtown Sugar Hill. I would like to say I planned the perfect date, but as some of the best things in life, this was just an impromptu visit to cap off an already great evening. Outside of being on the rooftop, the bar itself is upscale yet approachable, service was fast and friendly. Being a bit of a self engrandized home bartender I'm a bit critical when out of my home lab, but their Smoked Old Fashioned wasn't bad. ("Wasn't bad" really means very good.") While I don't love the prices and hate paying a cover charge, when you throw in live music, a great vibe, and a view, I can't really complain. The owner made an announcement that whoever tipped the band $10 would get a free drink, and since most drinks were over $15 I thought that was cool on many levels. Will definitely be back to The Rooftop!

We walked around and finally ran into a waitress who told us to sit anywhere we wished inside or outside. The only area festive was inside a closed igloo and no heaters were on outdoors which was just a tad too cool for me despite the super nice weather that day. It would have been so to sit outside but without the warmth of the heaters we headed inside. We placed our order and explained we were just there for a pre-dinner drink and wanted to check out the venue so we didn't leave our tab open but we were quickly served the fabulous taking drinks on their menu(s). The Old Fashioned was on the regular menu and the Russian was on their seasonal tabletop menu. Server was very nice and took photos for some ladies we met. The only reason I can't give them a 5 star is they claim they are big on hospitality but yet we were not acknowledged upon arrival. Many restaurants and even some retail stores have a way to ensure they say hello/welcome immediately when you enter and without a hostess - the mindset should be that the bar or wait staff have a way to immediately say hello or welcome so those who have never been feel welcomed as well as those who frequently come. It would be nice to have a more festive decor for the holidays but that didn't affect my review; just a statement to say that the entire Sugar Hill area was pumping and themed with the holiday spirit then we walked in the only area decorated was not even accessible nor was it offered as an option to enjoy.
