This pizza place came via a recommdation from one of the "neighbors" at the condo we rented while visiting. We ordered via online and picked up. It was ready early, a tiny issue as the pizza needed to be put in the oven to warm it up. Our thin crust pizza was very good, we added a few ingredients to "The Sicilian" which didn't deter from the nice flavors. The crust was thin in the middle with more crust on the outside. We also decided to get a Ceasar salad, large, which was also good. It had a LOT of croutons - probably too many to be honest. We had it with traditional Ceasar dressing which was a seperate charge which seems very odd to us. Weird. Can't comment on the ambiance as we had a to-go order. read more

We came here for dinner at the invitation of our local friends. They have very fond memories of this place, as they had celebrated here on closing their house when they moved to CC. Upon entering, it was pretty much a full house. There was still available parking in the lot out front. Our server was courteous and really nice. The food was OK, not bad but not really anything to write home about. Maybe it was also what our friends had ordered for the table, but when the breadsticks, the pepperoni rolls and pizza, it was just a lot of dough. The wings, while sizable, were somewhat bland. My husband and I craved pizza our first night in Corpus. Given the rave reviews, we decided to try Padre Pizza, and we're so glad we did. If you want local/mom-and-pop shop, this is the place. You can tell it's been around for a long time, and it has quite a bit of charm. They offer gluten-free and cauliflower crusts, and since they were out of the GF crust, I had to go for the cauliflower. Some cauliflower crusts taste so...cauliflower, but this one didn't. The pizza also wasn't greasy. My husband commented the same about his (which he ordered on glutenous crust). We also ordered wine since it was happy hour, and it perfectly complemented our meal. The pizza was so good that I thought I would try the pasta menu. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs. The person who took my order was Vesslynn and she took my order and made sure that everything was okay. She was excellent, made sure that I had a great experience with my meal. When the spaghetti and meatballs landed before me it was beautiful and the odor was fantastic. I tried the pasta first because many restaurants overcook the pasta but not Padre Pizza it was cooked perfectly. The sauce was so good, I enjoyed every forkful. The meatballs were very good as well. The bread sticks and olive oil was such a joy with the Spaghetti and Meatballs. The meal was outstanding, so much that I will try more pasta entrees. The meal was so delicious, I enjoyed every bite. When the smell, the taste, the vision of it placed before you are absolutely mouth watering it is a meal to behold. I know Padre Pizza is known for absolutely great pizzas but the Pasta is a little known treasure indeed. You know what you like and that is a great pizza but a new journey is in the Pasta Menu. I had been going for years before my daughter was born 2004. They have great pizza!!! It has to be great considering I drive from San Antonio just to eat there!! They are worth the trip. Their staff is friendly. The restaurant is always clean. Their pizza rolls are divine I absolutely love Their bread and dipping oil with the seasoning. Their drinks are 3.99, but they are a large size, free refills, and can ask for a to go drink. My son recently started ordering their meatball sub and he loves it. It tastes flavorful. Sadly, I would give this place no stars. We got food poisoning after eating here late September 2025. We ordered wings and pizzas. The wing was frozen in the middle!! The server said they fry them before they freeze them then reheat them but they were not heated through- clearly. Pizza was just okay. They add toppings under the cheese instead of on top so they're mushy instead of crispy. I overheard other tables wondering where their toppings were like we did so they're mushy instead could consider putting toppings on top. But regardless, in the middle of the night we were all sick. The good: the staff is courteous. The chicken Alfredo rigatoni was very good. Tender chicken, pasta cooked well not over sauced. The $17 price is a little high. The bad: all salads are $8. Padre Pizzeria has become a tradition anytime I come down to Padre island. I discovered this little gem about 10 years ago and haven't looked back. I don't think I've ever actually eaten inside but it seems to be a typical pizza joint in regards to ambiance. Nothing fancy. Just down to earth with a decent selection of beer on tap and wine, if you enjoy adult beverages with your pizza. There is an actual bar to sit at or table seating. I have always ordered my pizza to go. I typically call it in and go pick it up. The pizza is always ready at the promised time and absolutely delicious! I keep saying I'm going to try some of their other pizzas, but I keep ordering the kitchen sink I love it!! The crust was not too thick and not too thin with a perfect crunch when you bite into it but very light inside. They put the perfect amount of a not spicy but not sweet sauce on it with a perfect amount of toppings and cheese served with a garlic butter.
