    Caesar Salad - small

So delicious and totally not what I expected. This is the perfect date spot. It's nice but not super fancy and quiet. Since it's small it gives a bit of an intimate feel. Granted my date was my daughter but we had a grand time trying out menu items. Everything we had was fantastic and had such rich flavor. Lots of great choices where you want to eat pasta or a slice and a beer. Our service was decent and they were well staffed for the size of the place. Will definitely be returning.

Wanted to grace some pizza in a nicer place. From the pictures Padrino seemed to be more likable than other Cincy proper pizza places. Much of the pizza I've tried so far has been somewhat disappointing. Thankfully Padrino's does a great job of keeping the Cincy fluff with a crispy but not overly thin crust. I really I enjoyed my vegetarian though the olives took away from the rest, and I would have like a garlic shaker. The Mozzarella sticks were truly divine, I'm not a mozzarella guy outside of pizza so this was a welcome surprise. All in all I was certainly impressed. Also the fries did justice to potatoes by adding a nice along of breading without ruining it. The staff were really friendly and helpful as well. The ambiance and vibe is down to earth and welcoming.

It was a nice day outside. We were excited to find that they had a really nice porch. It's a little bit of an odd set up, we didn't know whether to go in through the front door, or downstairs where there seem to be a party happening, or go up the steps. We chose the letter and then walked through the restaurant to find a hostess stand. It took about 15 minutes for someone to see that we were sitting outside as no one told her that we were sat. Other than that, our server was great. The food was great. I just had spaghetti and meatballs, and it was plenty.

Ordered: vodka tortellini with a garlic knot and toscano pizza Our server was pretty busy but she was great- quick to get our order, checked in on us. The pizza was okay. The crust is really thin and crispy. There was a ton of toppings- essentially a meat lovers pizza. I couldn't really taste the sauce but it was pretty cheesy. The vodka tortellini was overwhelmed by the amount of garlic in the sauce that I couldn't taste anything else. The tortellini was filled with cheese. The garlic knot came out warm and was also generous with the garlic. Overall, my only memory is the taste of garlic throughout the whole meal. I'm glad they had peppermint at the front counter to grab before leaving.

The food was great meatballs are large and a marinara sauce was excellent. Service was outstanding and a restaurant not fancy, but was very clean and accept. I will highly recommend that anxious to go back and try the chicken Parmesan.

Padrino participated in Cincinnati Pizza Week this year and I got the individual pepperoni for $10. So good! It was my first time in there since they expanded. Looks great inside and outside (especially love the outdoor patio). Bonus points for letting me call in and pick up my order as most other CPW restaurants were dine in only. I'll be back to eat a proper meal in!

Stopped in on a Thursday evening and was quickly seated. The ambiance was a bit strange for a casual Italian spot. There were tiny test kitchen videos playing on the tvs which did not seem to fit the rest of the vibe. Nevertheless, my group ordered Parmesan fries, mozzarella bites, lasagna and Alfredo and enjoyed everything we had. Since it was our first time, the server surprised us with a free canolli for dessert which we appreciated!

Swung by after seeing them on cincysavers. We got the vodka tortellini and the tuscano 10' pizza. The pasta had quite a bit of garlic with every bite and was very overwhelming I couldn't taste much else. The portions were very generous and enough for two to share. The tuscano pizza had a very hard and ticker crust and there was quite a bit of mozzarella and that it overwhelmed the meats. The service was pretty good and the restaurant had two story's with a cozy homey feel. Overall, not exactly where I would go if I was craving the best of each dish.

A friend recommended Padrino and said we have to try it. We are so glad we did. The menu is an array of Italian items from hoagies pizza lasagna and spaghetti and meatballs. Also yummy cocktails Our table ordered spaghetti and meatballs pepperoni pizza Parmesan fries and I had Italian sausage with peppers hoagie. Everything came out fantastic Our servers were nice and very attentive. A plus in my book

Even if you have reservations plan to wait a little bit. There is outdoor seating if the weather is right but it's a small dining room and a popular place. Great flavors in their pizza and salads. Nice bar area serving a decent selection of mixed cocktails and local beers. A few domestics are as cheap as $3-$5 for the local college crowd (or those that still drink like it) There are specials daily but I didn't get a pic of that. Look to be closed on Mondays according to the sign outside

We…read morefrequent another pasta restaurant in town and wanted to try something new that also had several Italian classics to choose from. It was all delicious, service was wonderful, vibes were beautiful, and I felt the food came at a good value for what we ordered. Mainstrasse in Covington is an experience and Mama's is part of that! We sat outside on the patio to take it all in- highly recommend in nice weather. The building itself is beautiful and both the inside and outside feature artsy details in the decor that I really appreciated. My favorite was the mismatched plates, which were darling and cozy! Our waitstaff was quick and friendly, allowing us to order all at once and bringing things out with great timing- quickly, but not until we finished a course so we weren't rushed. We appreciated getting in and out relatively quick as we had a sitter at home. We decided to go a little all out and try a lot of items together. First, the focaccia and ricotta was enjoyable but not my favorite bread starter I've had. It hit the spot but I wasn't raving about it like another one of my favorite whipped ricotta starters across town. The arancini, however, was fantastic- probably our favorite thing we ate. Hot, crispy, and paired with a delicious spicy marinara that was super standout and flavorful. Next we got the stonefruit panzanella, which was beautiful and really yummy. The burrata was delicious in particular and while the cherries and peaches weren't the best I've had all season, they worked well together in this dish. For our entrees, we split both the chicken parmesan and the limone pasta. The chicken parmesan was huge, we both had a large piece even after it was split. The pasta had that delicious marinara from earlier and we really enjoyed it, which is saying a lot for a simple marinara spaghetti. The chicken was very thin and crispy. I liked the limone even better- it was very lemon forward which can be hard to achieve in a creamy sauce. We only wished we tried more shapes of pasta because it's made in house and the spaghetti was the perfect level of al dente in our opinions. We were super full, but ordered the cookie platter to finish the meal. We split a couple of the 6 cookies that came in 3 varieties, but took the rest home! The chewy almond/amaretto cookie was our favorite and really unique. My husband also had an old fashioned and commented that he liked it a lot. I would have expected this much food to come out to much more than it did- $100! I feel that is a great value for a special occasion considering we were stuffed and tried a ton of menu items. Overall, this was such an indulgent and fun experience and I'd highly recommend Mama's to anyone who is looking for a yummy Italian experience with comfort food classics in a fun, cozy Covington setting.

Our reservation was at 7:30 and we arrived around 7:25. When we got there I noticed the table near the chef's counter was still occupied, but we weren't too concerned since the party already had their to-go bags on the table. About 15 minutes passed and they ended up ordering dessert (slowly), so it became clear they weren't leaving anytime soon. The manager offered us a different table and apologized, but Lola had been really looking forward to the chef's seating since that's specifically what we reserved. In the end we waited about an hour, which was frustrating, especially since the other party could clearly see we were waiting. Overall it was an awkward situation to be in. That said, the staff handled the situation very kindly. The manager offered Lola a tour of the kitchen and the chance to meet the chef. My daughter was a little nervous and wanted me to go with her, but it seemed like the invitation was meant just for her and they didn't want adults in the kitchen (I get it!). The manager noticed she was scared and took her hand and walked her through the kitchen which made my daughter feel at ease. It was a thoughtful gesture and they were incredibly apologetic the whole time. Again, it was just an awkward situation overall. Plus we were starving. The food, however, was fantastic. The pasta was made from scratch and tasted incredibly fresh. The eggplant parmigiana was excellent, and I especially loved the "Via-misu." Despite the long wait, the staff was so kind and apologetic that it actually made us want to come back and try the experience again.
