Good website. Clean restaurant. I got takeout of two pizzas and a wrap and was blown away by the $70 price tag. But it smelled great so I thought I was in for a treat. When we got home, I was shocked by the bland pizza and overly greasy Wrap. We even found heavy chicken fat in the wrap. After a couple slices and a few bites out of the wrap, we found ourselves, throwing the rest away. I hope this restaurant is able to find some of that Italian charm in the future. My husband got me hooked on Paesano's. I crave their grilled chicken salad at least once a week. I'm an adult so I show restraint and get one every other week. We came to New Freedom to ride the train with our grandson. This place is right near the platform and seemed a good choice as we were really hungry! The men inside were not overly friendly. We ordered a large pizza, fries and 3 drinks. The place was clean and comfortable. When the pizza came, I could see the crust was burnt looking. As I started serving slices, the bottom of the pie was also burned. Not a little burned; burned that you could smell it. I should have brought it back, but our little one was hungry and cranky and we gave him the least burnt piece that he would tolerate. We choked down sections of the other slices and left 2 slices behind on the tray...un salvagable. One man/worker was standing behind the counter that faced the dining room, playing on his phone. He saw me standing up, peeking under each piece trying to find a palatable one and sawing away at the slices, cutting off the most burned sections. He said nothing. I know it was my responsibility to take it back and to take pics to verify my review, but again, everyone was super hungry and a bit cranky from the long day. The fries were fine. I hope this establishment better learns to cook a pizza and/or check on their clearly unhappy guests. read more

The Arby's of Italian food. Overall blah experience. For the cost of the food, you would expect it to be delicious, but alas its not. First, the fact that the soda is self serve, in paper cups, come on now. Next, the pay first and then wait for your food, I'm sorry did I stumble into a fast food place? I thought this was supposed to be a nice Italian restaurant, not BK or McD's. But I could forgive all of that if the food was good, it wasn't. I'm pretty sure the Chicken Parm (patties) just came from Sam's Club and they just pour the cheapest sauce they could find on it and throw a slice of cheese on top. The Fettuccine Alfredo sauce was watery and nearly tasteless. Couple that with the fact that to add chicken (unseasoned) and broccoli was an extra $8 and you've got a recipe for a bad review. The atmosphere is no different than most fast food places, millennial grey and subway tiles and drop ceilings, with a couple pictures of trains on the wall, which is a shame because it used to have a nice vibe to the place. I have driven from Hanover to New Freedom to hit this place for dinner. It's much more than a "pizza joint". Their dinner entree's are delicious. However, I normally have lunch here (I work locally). We took our soccer team here Sunday after doing a charity event at nearby First Fruit's Farms. We were the only people in the place at 4 pm with 12 kids and 7 adults in our group. We received very good service from the staff. All the food was made fresh and very delicious. We were glad they had a TV to catch the end of the Raven's game. The restaurant is in the heart of downtown New Freedom, PA. They have ample parking. I ordered a Spaghetti with Meatballs dinner as a take-out. The preparation time was reasonable. When it was ready I took it home. The dinner included a salad and some homemade bread rolls. The rolls were delicious. The spaghetti and meatballs were good. The salad was fresh and crispy. The only reason why I can't give them 5 stars was when I got home, they had not given me a fork or any type of utensil, nor were there any napkins. It was the first time we tried this place and the last. We dined in, the atmosphere was more of a modern chilis look, no Italian anything, not even music, that should of been our first sign. Two boys that were maybe 16-17 took our order, they had to repeat the order back to us a few times because he put it in the computer wrong. On the menu it stated wings came in 6,10 and so on. So we ordered a 6 piece boneless. We also ordered what is pictured. When we sat down, an older man approached us saying the boneless wings did not come in 6 so we got 10 and he marked it on the receipt saying we owed more for them, we stated that the boy that took our order should of known that and that's really not our problem he wasn't properly trained. When our food came out, my portion (Chicken Marsala) could of fed at least 4 people! The sauce was more of a sweet Alfredo and the "chicken" was nasty and rubbery. My spouse got the gnocchi dish, the sauce was way overly sweet, gnocchi wasn't cooked long enough so it was chewy and the "sausage" was the same sausage they put on the pizza. We paid $60 for some wanna be Italian food with greedy owners or managers (whatever they were) Bread was good! But only fresh. I don't recommend. read more
