I had my front brake pads installed yesterday, after only 48,000 miles on my Suzuki Bandit 1250!! Quick 45 minute repair, w EBC Sintered Pads-The Best. Scott Powersports is one of the best MC Dealers around. I lead a Meetup Motorcycle Club and have only been riding since 1969! Scott's Powersports is gone. Went to get an annual inspection. Had an appointment at 9 AM but waited around while they moved pallets and equipment outside. Inadequate seating was available while hideous gangsta "music" was blaring x-rated lyrics for the world to hear. It took over an hour and a half for them to finish an inspection that should take five minutes. All in all it was a thoroughly unpleasant experience and I do not intend to return. read more

I bought my 2022 Yamaha XMax from another dealership locally and it had some issues, that dealership charged me over $200 dollars to pick it up a mile from my home in Hatfield Pa. And only put some fluid in the gas tank where I broke down the next day , My son told me about Scott's where I brought them the bike , I had also bought the Yamaha extended warranty, they immediately found the fuel pump was bad. I just wasted 45 minutes out of my day driving one way to this place. I went and saw the machine that I wanted to buy stood around for 1015 minutes not a single person came over to help me multiple people in their offices saw me standing there not being helped, no one ever said somebody will be right with you or asked if I needed any help. The shop is the full package with buying, servicing, parts, and trade ins. The staff is professional and variety of equipment, clothes, gear is better than expected. I like that the company is out there in the community as well teaching kids safe riding practices and skills and philanthropy. I went to Scott to BUY a new $13,000 KTM. They had the one I wanted in stock. I stood around for 10-15 mins waiting for someone to help me. When I finally got a salesman's attention, he couldn't have been less eager to sell a bike. I had a trade-in with me and was ready to do a deal (at list price), but the salesman's total lack of caring or any level of customer service gave me a bad feeling, so I left. We bought a 2010 Harley Davidson ultra limited with 6k miles aprox October 10th, 2015. We were told by the salesman, Ron Wackley, the "bumper to bumper" extended warranty covered everything except tires and brakes for two years . No written warranty was ever shown to us prior to agreeing to it and we were told by the salesmanager, Bret Wagner, it needed to be purchased at the time of sale. After asking for it, I finally received a copy Oct 28th. It had many exclussions we were not informed of and I couldn't find a dealership that would honor the warranty. It did however cover their behind should I have used it, at their dealership, during that 30 period they are responsible for. . Don't take their word for anything. I returned with the bike about 3 days after the purchase with the first of the problems. I was told there was nothing wrong with it. I had been told there would be no charge for that and was then billed about $50 labor. I had offered to buy a new front tire, Bret didn't reply. They are most attentive when you are handing over the money however. I had also requested a copy of any services done to the bike prior to the sale. Never got that either. I documented issues with the low oil pressure (below HD specs) , a very loud engine squeak which started a couple of weeks later, excessive detonation /valve ping, excessive heat (check the law suits on the web) , among other issues. They offered to reverse the sale, after I had $1500 of accessories and 12 hours of labor to install, and put over 3k miles on it. They never checked for safety recalls, which it needed. A third dealer found the spark plugs and air cleaner needed to be replaced and a loose muffler, among other issues . When I had dropped the bike off for repairs the dealer found they never replaced the 5 yr old fob battery and the bike wouldn't start. I took the bike to Keystone HD in Lehighton to get an estimate for repairs. Without either business having looked at the motorcycle, I received emails from both places stating these issues were "unrectifable!" That was not a coincidence. If that is the case, why are they selling $17k+ motorcycles with defects that are unrectifable? If any dealership would have honored the warranty and fixed the bike, it would have been great. Instead, Scott's refused to make good on any mechanical defects in 30 days. They refused to refund the extended warranty, which has been an ongoing dispute for months. They refuse to give me the name of the owner after asking three times. They outright lied about not being able to refund the money. I requested they mail the forms to cancel the warranty and was told they couldn't do that. Once we got past all of that via Amex dispute , I requested they refund the money to the card. I am sure it will be refunded, but what a hassle. Then, I am told the longer it takes to process this, the more money we are going to lose. Yikes! The bike needs another estimated $1k to try and fix what problems are left next Spring. I had originally asked Scott's to pay $500 towards the repairs , which they refused. Bret tells me in writing the issues are unrectifable yet I need to bring it to their shop to be worked on... Not a chance. They hadn't made good for the mechanical defects found during the first 30 days. They won't refund the warranty as requested. No one takes responsibility for their actions and I am out a couple of thousand dollars plus a great deal of time trying to resolve the issues. I would much rather have given a five star review telling you how thrilled I was to buy the motorcycle of my dreams from a reputable dealer. Buyer beware! We did everything possible to make sure we had a fair deal and any issues world be covered. Apparently it would take a Judge to offer a mediated perspective on this situation. You don't need or deserve the hassle dealing with this company. SHAME ON HARLEY DAVIDSON for allowing defective motorcycles like this to leave the factory. All Rights Explicitly Reserved ! We made an appointment to have work done on our Kawasaki - which we use for our business (we told them what was wrong with it). We were assured we would have it back in a few days. After having it almost 3 weeks - they hadn't even looked at it yet. When we called and told them we'd be picking it up, even without the work being done, they said they were short handed but would do the work that day and deliver it to us. Which they did. However, if I did business that way I'd be out of business. So my advice to you is to find some other place which is reliable. My opinion is that they don't really care about their customers, at least not in the "service" department. read more

Called for a quote on a carb sync (very basic service that i did not own the tool for). I was quoted at $550 (4.5 hours). I asked again to clarify there was no mistake. I bought the tool and did the job myself in 20 minutes. Totally outrageous quote, I hate to think what they get away with charging people who don't know any better. read more

i stopped in friday at 12:50 pm to BUY a new ATV and to BUY a new cart for an ATV i had already purchased from them. i had asked by phone on advance if this would be a good time. i was assured it was fine, and to come in. when i arrived i was ignored. after 5 minutes a man came up to me and told me he'd be free in 5 minutes. 25 minutes later i was still unattended. i went back in and was told by a salesman that they are doing the best they can, and if its not good enough i should leave. i did leave. the service was rude, uncaring, sporadic, and made me feel like they couldn't care less. i suggest you stay away. i will. read more

This will be our 3rd bike from Scott and Have to say they've been GREAT! Haven't had anyone sugar coat anything about their pre-owned bikes condition...our 1st bike was by far the best! $400 and they were totally honest with me and I'm a woman...it was ugly and they did tell me it was too! No lie...it was an old ass bike that had been rattle can painted but for a 1st bike I did not care! Mechanically THE most sound reliable bike ever! So now our 3rd bike..in LOVE with...BEST DEAL EVER! end of season and loved the surprise that it was $500 less than what was advertised on website! Our sales people have been some of the greatest guys! Out of all the bike dealerships I have gone into they have been THE least douchiest! We looked at other bikes as well. I was looking for the new FJR and a price but no luck on that one. Not quite ready for a new Connie yet but always looking for a good used bike that fits my wish list. My salesman was very friendly and helpful. Nice job guys. Stopped in on Monday 10/16 around 12:30 PM looking to purchase 3 2018 Kawasaki Mule SX 4x4's with plows and complete cabs for multiple business locations. No customers in the store, a sales manager in the office talking with the salesman. Waited 10 to 15 minutes for salesman to come over. Sat down went over specifications. Salesman said he had to get prices from service manager to install plows, winches and cabs and he would call me later that day. He did call and said he could not get the quotes from service manager until next day and he would call me. I did not hear back at all. Thursday I called and salesman was off that day. Left message to call me. Friday came, no call. I called again and asked for service manager. He was not in. Left another message for salesman. Here it is 10 days later and no call on a potential $45,000 order. Hard to believe. Went to Ekroth equipment in Orefield. Met with owner. Buying 2 Cub Cadet 550's completely set up. 3rd one turned out not to work on the property that needed it. Going back to by a Cub Cadet tractor with snow thrower and cab for that property. I had my bike in there for service on 7/31/18 and I called to have it appraised as I was looking to upgrade. Left a message for the appraisal manager to call me back, no call back. I called again later that week and again no call back. I called on Friday August 10th to come in and test drive 2 bikes and get mine appraised. Salesman said one had sold the other was there. I show up and the bike I was to drive was a consignment bike and I couldn't test drive it until we agreed on a price. Company policy!! WHO PLAYS THE PRICING GAME BEFORE THEY'VE EVEN TAKING A VEHICLE OUT FOR A TEST DRIVE!!!! The salesman was willing to see if he could do something about it, but at that point I had enough. A person I believed to be a manager asked if he could help, but again I said no and left. Not sure if they are pre-qualifying people based on appearance, but I bought a bike the next day at a different dealer who by the way was awesome and extremely helpful. I will not ever stop in at Scott's. Other than the parts dept there seems to be a huge turn-over of employees. read more

Bought a new bike from Scotts, 2000 miles later, front tire had to be replaced due to extreme wear on left side of tire. Scotts service manger told me there was nothing wrong with bike. So I went to Blackmans and they found that the front shocks were out of adjustment and replaced both tires with Michelin PR 4's. Same problem but better. So I go back to Blackmans this time a new service manger and he tells me that the wear is caused by the curvature of the road calling him a dumb ass I get asked to leave. I took the bike to Martins Moto in Boyertown, pa. They contacted Yamaha about the problem and Yamaha agreed to have Martins Motor rebuild all the shocks which cured the problem with the front tire. As this business is NOT BBB Accredited, we can only hope others will read this review before purchasing any items. In April 2015 Scott Powersports of Coopersburg, PA sold to us a used Honda motorcycle which they declared was a "certified pre-owned vehicle". This was the first motorcycle we had ever purchased, and it was important to have confidence. In May 2016 when we took the motorcycle in for Spring service check to a Powersports franchise in New Jersey, mechanics identified a missing part. This part cannot fall off, the only explanation was the part was not present when the motorcycle was sold to us. When we asked Scott Powersports to 'do the right thing' and assist us in getting the part replaced, they did not agree that they had any responsibility, even when we had both parties speak to each other to eliminate any questions or arguments regarding where the part is located or how the part could 'disappear'. We would not recommend Scott Powersports unless you are prepared to have any used bike completely checked by a third party mechanic. read more
