The repairs were made In four days, and my cart returned to my house. Gary considered the repairs minor and did not bill me. I expected to be billed for the repairs (so I hope he does not read this). I live in Mountain Falls and primarily play at the Mountain Falls course. I have played golf with several people who have purchased golf carts from Gary, and I have never heard anything negative regarding the purchase or servicing of a cart from Gary's business.

I think this spot has actually been open for maybe a year and I just was not paying attention. Watch batteries with my "free battery replacement forever" program and the occasional battery check and/or replacement for my outdoor louvered awning are really the only reasons I have shopped at Batteries Plus. Staff was nice, service was fast, close to my house and my battery needs are satisfied.

So when you go to this certain location and they are closed it's a little aggravating. I now have realized that they are closed on Sundays so I don't go then but when I go another day, a couple of times now, and they can't change a $100 bill at 3 o'clock in the afternoon is a little perplexing. There's two cash registers here, so when I'm buying $25 worth of batteries and I'm told that they can't change my C note, between the two registers on hand, I'm finding it hard to believe, and I'm blaming the personnel minding the store at the moment. Less than $80 in change that I needed and the guys telling me that he doesn't have it between the two. Just beware! Hopefully, management sees this! Went to return the battery so I could get my $10 back that they charge you so they can make sure you dispose of the battery correctly so I brought the receipt in with the battery. I couldn't get my $10 back because I didn't have the card my grandmother used with me, she did. So when I asked if I could possibly get the $10 back in cash since I have the receipt but also had the photo of my grandmothers card on my phone - he said no, didn't do much else. I asked if he could call his manager since apparently he didn't have any authorization in the system to do anything, but he was told by his manager there's nothing they can do - I needed the card in person. I asked if they do cash returns w receipts and he said yes, of course they do - so why can't you give me back the $10? I drove 20 minutes to dropped the battery off, I wasn't wanting to drive back and forth for only $10.. it was absolute nonsense and zero want to help or be helpful! Peter was rude w his "I just work here" attitude, but it wasn't his fault - he shouldn't have been in the store working alone and he was probably trained wrong. I ended up calling corporate per Peter's recommendation, he gave me their number and I was able to talk to someone. Phone representative I spoke to said they could have helped me in some way, but decided not to. My grandmother ended up going herself to get the $10 back, she said Peter wasn't very pleasant w her either. All in all a crazy and wild experience for $10.... lol I would avoid going to this location cause they truly just don't really care.

The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly, knowledgeable, and was able to answer all of our questions. We ended up purchasing two Group 31 batteries. The whole process was quick and easy. We were in and out of Batteries Plus in less than 10 minutes. My only disappointment is that they were not able to locate our previous battery purchase in their system. Since we bought them about a year ago from Batteries Plus, we had hoped they would still be under warranty. Aside from the warranty issue, everything was great and would come here again for batteries!

Today is June 18th, 2026. I bought a new battery here 8/24/2025 for my MX-5. Two months ago when I…read morewas going to work, my car would not start. No sounds, no lights, no nothing. So scrambled to switch vehicles and took my Xterra. When I had the free time, I used the Xterra to jump start the MX-5. I had brand new jumper cables and went to work. Let them both sit. Tried the MX-5 and absolutely nothing. I figure since my battery is about 8 months new, its probably the ignition system. I gotta wait to get ignition funds for that! It can't be the new battery. So my car sits in the garage until I can get it to the shop. I call to get a tow. Nice fella shows up, I tell him what I suspect & why. He gets his jumper box (cool device), let's it sit a minute on my battery, and I saw when he hit the brakes! He had the driver side door open and I heard the chime!!! You'd have thought I won the lottery I was so happy. And then he turned the ignition and the car started right up!!! He said the alternator was good (I know, its been changed) and that the battery was dead. I was shocked but a running car was proof. So he followed me to the shop (Boktor Motors) since I didn't need a tow, just to make sure I got there. Made my appointment previously, gave them my keys and headed home. Missed the call, but my car was ready same day. Did full diagnostic check and it was not only the dead battery but its also leaking acid. I kept my receipt and headed to Batteries Plus as I'd like a refund. Defective items get into the supply chain all the time. No one's fault, but.... I explain what happened to the technician. I have the old battery in my trunk. He brings out his tester. Tells me it reads 3 volts. I tell him my car was more than dead for 2 months. It has 3 volts now because it got jumped by tow truck driver. He proceeds to read the print on the card and tells me the battery was drained by a starter or alternator but he was firm in not honoring my warranty, never mind refund my $195!!! I took my slip and told him I will never come here again. I have BEEN buying my batteries and a few lightbulbs from Batteries Plus for many years. Starting with the location on Craig & Losee. I have 2 vehicles that have gotten their batteries changed there. I love how they have a device that keeps my clock & radio presets alone! But today, I am disgusted that I spent money on a defective part and my warranty is not honored. My car is a 2006 and it is in great shape. Dealer keeps offering, in writing, to buy it. My Xterra was a 2003 (totaled last March) and it had a new battery installed the January before the crash. My Xterra was also kept in great shape. Both vehicles garage in my home. And my batteries have lasted at least 3 years. From other places and then with Batteries Plus. They won't go bankrupt because I won't buy there anymore but I sure will tell everybody I know and damn sure post here. I take good care of my vehicles because I need to get to work and take wonderful trips. This place sure as hell isn't up to the task. I would do a zero score if that was an option.
