So just be aware that this review is late, the job was done in October 2021, so it's possible that they have improved. I hired PBS to paint some rooms in my new home which was empty at the time. I sent a video detailing every wall to be painted and the colors to be painted. Long story short, they did well in some areas, really bad in others. My main level, I had an accent wall painted. It was so sloppily done that I had to laugh. And they got some of that color paint (dark blue) on an adjacent (light gray) wall. I wanted the basement to be a lighter color than it originally was but since they didn't prime with a light color paint, it came out dark. I've since had it repainted. They got paint all on my floors. there was a bright orange wall that was painted to match the rest of my family room: after 3 years, that orange paint is visible in some spots. It was always visible at the bases because of incomplete coverage after they painted. When I called the Khairy to make him aware of the issues, he did come out and mentioned that it wasn't done on purpose... Ok. They came back to fix the issues. The paint on the floor was cleaned up, the accent wall still looked messy. I had work done in my home later and that wall was the first thing my contractor commented on. Overall, very nice people. Hopefully they've improved, but I've decided to do a huge paint job in my home and I'm not considering them. read more

Buyer beware. I hired Paint Boy for interior painting of my townhome. Khary was initially very responsive. However, he now refuses to respond and honor his word and work. My paint job included painting my dark wood railings black matte. Unfortunately white primer(no tint) and a thin coat of paint was used on the railings so they immediately started chipping with the white showing thru. I contacted Khary on January 8th and he agreed to fix the issue and provided two dates for the repair. I responded that I was available for both. I have not heard from him again despite following up multiple times. Now I am left with trying to recoup money to have the railings painted properly. In addition, there were other issues with unpainted trim and clotting paint that was not initially noticed. I intended to bring these items to Khary's attention when he came for the railing repair but he never responded. I'm sure these issues were due to the job being understaffed with one person till the last day when four people show up to rush completion of the job. I do not recommend Paint Boy. read more

I am very pleased with the paint job and all around service and professionalism of Paint Boys! What I most appreciated was how careful and neat they were. Many times painters can be sloppy, even if their painting is neat they leave a trail of mess during set up or breakdown. Paint Boys used all fresh products and were super careful to put clean plastic over every single thing in my home. They put tape over the edges and didn't try to do free hand to stay in the lines. I could not find one imperfection upon completion! Khary the owner was very communicative and pleasant to work with. I even got to meet his wife as she came by the morning of the project to make sure the workers knew what to do and she went and bought the paint using a chip while they covered up everything. They are all quite the efficient team. The job took the exact length of time Khary estimated. His wife even extended the paint area for no extra charge when she came that morning and realized it wouldn't have looked right to not include the entire ceiling. We needed to have the first floor of our home repainted and in the past we've been frustrated by contractors who didn't call us back or show up for appointments. I had noticed several vans with Paint Boy & Sons parked in our neighborhood and thought that it might be worth a call to see if they might be different. As it turns out, they were very different. I spoke with Khary, the co-owner who set an appointment to come see what we needed done. He arrived when he said he would and immediately impressed me with his commitment to listening to what I needed. He immediately provided a verbal quote and followed up with a confirmation in an email within 30 minutes. April, also a co-owner arrived early on the day the paint work was to begin to make sure the job was correctly scoped and to introduce me to the crew. The job took two full days and the painters masked off and protected all of our furnishings and flooring to a tee. As you can tell, I can't say enough about how professional, honest and committed to customer satisfaction this family run business is. Paint Boy and Sons did good work in my previous home. So I decided to used them again in my new home. The good: For $1,234, Khairy's team of sub-contractors installed three (3) ceiling fans, one (1) pendant light in my dining room, and (2) two pendant lights over my kitchen island. A kitchen backsplash was also installed. I think it was a decent price for the labor involved. The bad: I remember setting an appointment for Khairy to come out on a Wednesday between 11:00AM and 1:00PM the Friday before. On the Saturday before, Khairy confirmed the details. The day of, Khairy did not show until 2:45PM. This, of course, was after I reached out to him when he did not show. No worry. He did the consultation. I went to pick up material for my backsplash and we set installation for that Friday. Since I was not able to be there during the installation, my brother stayed to let the guys in and answer any questions. He kept in constant contact with me. The guys arrived at 8. My brother sent me pictures throughout the day. Later that evening, my brother informed me that they had to cut patches in the cieling and adjacent wall to run the electrical for the pendant lighting over the island. No biggie. Except, the contractor though, screwed the patches of drywall back in, un-finished, and were going to leave them that way. Un-finished and un-sanded. He exclaimed that there was "another crew" that finished drywall and they were not able to do it that day. Fine. Khairy had not informed me if this, as he said everything would be completed on Friday. I called khairy up and informed him of what was going on and let him know that he did not inform me of this and I had no room in my schedule the next day, unless they would get there early. He sent his over at 7:30am the next day (Saturday). They finished the dry wall patching and sanding, leaving me to paint. I didn't mind painting because I had already did special designs on my walls and a special paint on the ceiling and I had paint left over to do small areas. Khairy called to process payment and I paid. But, Khairy and his team apparently forgot to install a new light switch wall plate. I went from having 2 light switches, to 3 after the pendant lights were installed over the island. I let him know this and he himself told me he forgot to purchase it. Was this not included in the price he quoted? It was. No biggie. I went to purchase one and installed it myself. But, the way Khairy's team cut the new switch box in the wall, it left a large gap. I sent Khairy a picture and he inquiried if I bought the standard or jumbo version of the light switch cover. He said the jumbo version would cover it. If that did not work, his team would be back to fix it, he said. I went back to the store to buy the largest one they had. The Lowes advisor explained that for the three light switch wall plates, jumbo isn't made. The largest is medium. Well the medium still left a gap. I've texted Khairy this and to this day, I have still not receieved a response back. Even after I sent a follow-up telling him, I ended up fixing it myself. No apologies. No nothing. So, I am not recommending this business anymore. For they did not finish the job, nor had the decency to respond back to me. Not only that, they left my place an absolute mess! They didn't put anything back to the way they found it and there was dust (I assume from cutting the drywall and mixing the grout) everywhere! I spent over an hour cleaning and putting my stuff back! I am disappointed, especially since I am a repeat customer and have even referred other clients to this business, who've used them. read more

However his professionalism changed the decision and my mood quickly. Khary and his family and team are the consummate professionals that I would hire again and would highly recommend. I purchased a house in May of 2017 and I wasn't happy with the builder grade paint throughout the house. Paint Boy & Son's was referred to me by a coworker who highly recommended them. I was given a price quote on Tuesday and the painters were there on Friday and worked over the weekend to get the job done. In the end the pricing was very fair and didn't vary from the price quote that I was given prior. In less than three days the Paint Boy & Son's team had painted the majority of my 2400 sq ft house (including the ceilings in all the rooms). They always showed up on time, cleaned up after themselves after every day and left my house exactly as they found it. You won't go wrong with these painters. read more

This business was selected based on a recommendation. They were timely the morning of the job & a walk-thru was completed with the owner & foreman. Long story short... They did work (hence the 3 stars) however, they were messy & did not complete everything as requested. A section of the wall was primed but not painted ; paint was smeared on carpet as well as furniture ; custom window treatment was damaged with spackling paste ; nail pops were just painted over vs repaired (already started to crack / reappear after 2 weeks) ; forgot to paint an exterior door but this was brought to their attention prior to their departure. In January 2018 I called and setup to have 2 bathrooms painted and in hind sight the first red flag should have been that Khary did not come over. When the 2 men came to paint (they were on time) they did not bring a ladder or supplies to clean up with they never look off the light switch plates nor the towel bars. One bathroom looked good but the other one looked like I painted it, there was paint left on and every where. I called Khary but he had a family issue so he sent the men back to cleanup and they still had to comeback another time to clean up because every time I sat on the toilet I was looking at an eyesore. You wonder why am I writing this now well I have calmed down and once again in search of a paint company to come and paint my whole condo. I am having a hard time believing 5 stars. read more

I'm now noticing a lot of bubbles in the paint and not as neat as I would have liked it. I don't believe they prepped the walls properly. They cut corners in some areas. Paint Boy & Sons did a great job with remodeling/refreshing my bathroom. Khary came out and gave an estimate for the services. He went with me to Home Depot to purchase all of the supplies needed and I greatly appreciated that because it ensured that I wasn't being ripped off and I was able to get exactly what I wanted/needed. In addition, while shopping, I thought about how I needed to have ceiling fans installed in two rooms and he allowed me to add this job into what was already being done. So I picked up fans while we were there as well. I had my entire bathroom redone with the exception of the tub due to not having enough space to enlarge the one that I currently have. My shower walls were redone, an inset was built in the shower wall, shower head and bath faucet replaced, flooring, toilet, toilet paper hook, vanity, light fixtures, medicine cabinet, towel bars and a hook on the back of the door. I had a hole in one of the walls that they patched up and they also painted. He had two teams of guys who came in to get this project done. He told me that it would take about a week to get this project done and he was pretty accurate. Given that this job was being done while it rained pretty much every day, I think they made good time. They started the work on 7/19/18 and they completed it on 7/31/18. This time excludes Sundays and they didn't come out on 2 of those days during this time frame. Overall, I am pleased with the services rendered and on top of that, I think the price was reasonable. I have used this company for other services previously and was also pleased. His paint crew painted the entire top floor of our home back in 2013 and the paint on the walls still looks good til this day. I also had a flood in my basement a few months back and two of Khary's contractors came to take up the carpet, allow it to thoroughly dry over a couple of days and reinstall new carpeting. His crew arrived on time with all the equipment and supplies needed to do the job. They got right to work. No one was standing around. These guys meant business. I cannot recommend! i had them replace the wood floor around my bar area and the carpet in the basement. The wood trim continued to fall off and the floor began to have spaces. the carpet must have been dried roten or something, because it continued to shed and we call Paint Boy and he did come out and replaced It. Hell but soon that carpet did the same and then they half a$$ put the patterning correctly beneath the carpet so the floor is uneven. Piss poor job. They also put down my kitchen floor, I had to called Kerry several times because the men he left here to do the work failed to clean up and placed flooring over trash which caused the floor by the sink to buckle up. When I called Kerry, he tried to insist that I had some kind of water damage and that was the reason the floor was buckled up. . I told him this is a new house and we never had a water problem... there's something beneath the floor that the workers fail to pick up and placed the floor other it. Finally, Kerry came out and YES I was absolutely right... those lousy workers just placed flooring over material that they fail to pick up! i am all for supporting black business, but hell it has to be decent. UPDATE: we had another company come in a replaced the wood floor around the bar and it now looks fantastic- no spaces and the wood trim work has not come loose. read more
