These guys did a huge job for me and were a saving grace in both the last minute and for stage 2 of our project - we completely remodeled the main 2 floors of our newly purchased home. New flooring, new kitchen, vaulted a ceiling and raising it 6 feet, new baseboards, window and door casing, crown molding, "shiplap" paneling on ceiling and in breakfast nook as well as ornate wainscoting in the main living area. 8 rooms and hallways, roughly 2500 sq. ft of remodeled construction. After getting an outright ludicrous bid from our contractor's preferred painter who would never even call me back or answer my questions, I basically hit the internet and found Dave and his crew. Everything was down to either preexisting or new drywall or brand new wood (we used poplar for pretty much everything), so needless to say there was a ton of prep work (filling nail holes, caulking, sanding, covering wood and construction imperfections, getting older walls in order, shellac knots in paneling etc.). They came in aggressively in terms of time-to-complete and pricing, and after meeting members of the team, realized that I made a total no-brainer decision on who I went with. We were under pressure to move into the house as we were expecting a baby with only 1 month to go. Communication / insurance was no problem with my general contractor so I had nothing to worry about there. They sent an efficient and really nice team that plowed through stage 1 of the project in the course of only a little over a week. Kind of unbelievable considering the amount of work that had to be done, but less so considering they had all hands on deck for us. They sprayed as much as possible, and it came out absolutely great. I worked with roughly 5 subcontractors on this project and only literally 2 of them would I recommend without hesitation - these guys are easily one of them. Don't ask me for an electrician though. They were also very patient with me in terms of closing up the contract - I had a freak accident on my hand that required surgery, so I was out of commission for about 4-5 months (not what you want with a newborn, either). After all was done, I got a very nice surprise in the mail, which wouldn't have affected my opinion at all but just goes to show you the type of people you're dealing with. Anyway, I see they have great reviews on here already but seriously, above and beyond on this one. I guess I got used to contractors basically treating you so badly that I forgot what kind of world we actually live in :). Juan and his partner were assigned to our project. They were so nice and flexible, and they did beautiful work. They were also very clean, and quick. They finished the exterior of our 4000 sq. ft house + backyard retaining wall in just 3 days! This included a day of power-washing and calking the house to prep for the painting. I requested a quote to paint the inside of my house. After spending sometime explaining our project to Travis on March 30th I never heard back with a bid. I called on April 6th and asked Suzie (I think that was her name) about the delay. She verified my information and let me know she would talk to Travis. It is now April 10th and I haven't heard back. My husband and I have been waiting to schedule until we received back all the bids. We want to paint in April and are now behind because we waited on Paint Denver. I'm in the middle of remodeling a house in Sunnyside. While in this process, I've had to hire a number of contractors. Most of the contractors I've worked with have been entirely frustrating. It's difficult (if not impossible) to get an estimate, more difficult to get the work scheduled, and disappointing once the job is complete. Rob and his crew were consistently on time, and completed the work on the schedule that they had set. The first estimate did not include the scope of work I had pictured; I had a revised estimate the next day. The job I hired 'Paint Denver' for was not remarkably large; they were able to schedule my work within a few weeks. The crew was prompt, professional, and did great work. I hired Rob and his crew three months ago; in the meanwhile, I've had time to move in, completely. I've had time to hang pictures on all of the walls that I got painted. I'm still impressed. During July we began seeking estimates for painting our stairwell, living/dining area and hallway. We planned to begin the project 8/10. Although more expensive than some others, we chose Paint Denver because of their five star rating, promises made during the estimate phase, and sound suggestions by David Urbont. We were told that the dents and dings in our bannisters would be sanded prior to painting, we would have a crew leader to address any issues and that Paint Denver would be in communication closer to our start date to firm up details. We were contacted to confirm paint colors but did not know what time our crew would show up on 8/10. On 8/7 we began leaving messages to ask if our job was going to begin on 8/10 and what time. We received an email the morning of 8/10 saying the crew was picking up supplies and would be to our home afterward. When the crew arrived after 9:00, they had no supplies. A discussion took place regarding the crew not being paid enough for our project, phone calls were made and the crew left to get supplies. About 10:30 the crew returned with supplies and began working. The paint color turned out to be incorrect and Rob corrected this very quickly. Our furniture was covered while ceilings were sprayed, but uncovered prior to paining the walls. This resulted in spatters on our furniture and floors. Holes that were filled were not smoothed out resulting in bumps that were painted over. A place where texturizing on the wall was messed up was simply painted over. The dings in the bannisters were not sanded but painted over. We had to insist that all of the trim around the stairwell window be painted. We asked that the crew help us remove the fan blades on the ceiling fan in the stairwell to keep it from getting paint on it. They refused twice. I agree it is not their job to remove fan blades, but we also asked them to cover it and they said they didn't need to. Later we discovered quarter sized blobs of paint on the blades and spatters all over the globes. We found it necessary to point out a string of six runs in the paint over one door as well as runs over another door and throughout areas where the painting was done. They were fixed but it did not seem right that they did not fix these without being asked to as most were very obvious. We felt the crew was difficult to communicate with due to language barriers. Our understanding was that the crew leader would be identifiable by the wearing of an orange shirt. On the second day one of the gentlemen did wear an orange shirt. On the plus side Paint Denver does seem to know the steps needed in a difficult job. For example, our stairwell was very dirty and David Urbont did point out additional processes needed to make certain the paint adhered and the primer required on ceilings to make sure stains were covered. Rob did address the color of the paint very quickly. Overall, the quality of our job was average. What we feel it lacked was attention to detail read more

This review will only be directed at Tess Solano, person who does the scheduling. She has been absolutely awful with communication, to the point where I'm not even sure if they were ever going to get back to me with a firm date to begin painting my home. I had to pry her for information (via email and once over the phone) and she would respond vaguely. Gave me two target dates and neither were met and she refuses to respond to my request of getting a firm date locked down so I know when to be prepared. I understand that summer time is busy but all I ask is be honest and communicate with me and would have gladly been flexible, but this is ridiculous. Every email she responded back to me with began with an apology for taking so long to respond. Lack of communication is was what lost my business. I don't believe it is fair to give anything less than a 3 since I did not experience working with anyone else in the company but Tess deserves a 1. I called another company and they immediately gave me dates for walkthroughs, pressure washing, siding replacement and painting. That's how it should be. read more

The quote and scheduling were a breeze (the hardest part is picking your own paint). We bid out to two other companies and Paint Denver was competitive. We had about 1200 sqft of our house needing painted. The crew showed up on time and finished ahead of schedule which is huge. Quick tip is to have more of your house ready than you think is possible. They did a mix of spray and roll. After they were finished they gave us a day to identify any areas that we thought were not up to par. We were new to the area and wanted to paint a few rooms in our house before we moved in. Rob made it really easy and I trusted him and the crew with the house and everything in it. Wish I would have had a better experience. I booked based on Yelp reviews. The first day after painting our brand new remodeled house, I came home to bags of food trash and drinks all over our living room. My brand new fridge had a scratch and paint on it. There was a boot foot print on my new countertops. Paint was on my bedroom comforter (didn't find until a couple days after the paint job was over). We specifically asked for primer on all the fresh drywall to help match sheens. This was not done and as a result, you can see the patched in dry wall in the right light. Overall the paint job looks pretty good, but I am disappointed in the lack of attention to detail and the care they had for our home. read more

I contacted Paint Denver to bid an insurance job to repaint the south and west sides of my house for hail damage. Initial contact and appt. scheduling were good, and David showed up on time. During the bid, I had them add several options (whole house re-paint and some interior rooms). David said he would get me the quote later that day or the next. I am now 3 1/2 weeks from that time and NO quote. I called David, emailed him, and called the main line who said "Oh, we will have him contact you. NO response, nadda. Really sloppy work. Poor masking, clogged a sink. Slopped paint on doors, kitchen cabinets, door frames and I had to go behind them to clean up the mess. I also found damage after the fact that was just simply negligence. Really not impressed.. Paint Denver did an average job quickly for a cheap price on my exterior job. The rough cedar was in rough shape, had been neglected too long, and had some hail damage. After multiple quotes, I chose Paint Denver because David Urbont, who gave the quote, was very knowledgeable in material selection and assured me the proper prep work would be done to make the house look great and ensure lasting quality. When the crew arrived, I walked through with the leader, Carlos, and pointed out examples of peeling, hail damage, previous vine growth, and loose nails that should be prepped before spraying. Carlos nodded, but I'm not sure if he fully understood English. When I saw them taping off areas to spray before doing any sort of prep work, I told Carlos to finish prepping. He nodded again and told me the job would be finished soon. I came home later to find they had sprayed right over peeling areas and remains of vines that I had specifically pointed out twice. The owner, Rob, came over after I complained. He explained the job was under-quoted to begin with, which I agreed with, and that my and David's expectations of prep work would require tons of labor, which I agreed with, that was beyond the scope of his business. Rob was reasonable and agreed some more prep work should be done. The crew ended up doing a tiny bit more scraping, throwing lots of peel bond primer on areas they hadn't sprayed yet, and finished spraying and painting neatly. The house looks much better with the fresh coat and lots of caulk, but upon close inspection you can see areas that were peeling and vine remains underneath and loose nails everywhere. Overall, I am satisfied because it looks nice and clean and I plan to sell the home soon, but I was very angry that the crew started spraying after ignoring my concerns, and I would have gladly paid more for some extra labor. read more
