This was my first experience with Paint Sip and Swirl. I've seen my friends on social media painting while drinking wine for a couple of years but I wasn't too sure if it was for me. Well now I know... it is! There were five of us and we were celebrating a friends birthday. The birthday girl was given a special paint smock and received a free wine glass. I thought that was a nice touch. We were able to bring our own wine and snacks. I wasn't fond of the picture selection, but it was a great time! The instructor walked us through each phase of painting the picture. And if we messed up she was there to help. My elephant looked more like a rhino when I was done lol. But I completed my first piece of art and it felt great. And I did it with my friends. There were about 20 in the class and we all needed help at some point so our class lasted a little longer than most. I'm looking forward to trying this again! And next time I'll make sure I pick a night that has a picture I don't mind hanging in my house. read more

Everybody has bad days, I get it. But when we met our teacher for the evening, she looked to be having a very very bad day. First off, she forgot our appointment and when we walked up to the shop it was locked and all the lights were off. After calling her numerous times, she finally answered, apologized, and said she would drive over and open up the shop. We had to wait an hour past our schedule time to actually start painting. Even when she finally did open up the doors and let us in, she kept asking for our reservation number and the name of the person who booked it. We gave her that information but she seemed to think that we still may have made a mistake and were there at the wrong time. She wanted to know exactly what time we booked the appointment and got frustrated when we weren't sure, because honestly who remembers the time of day they book something like that? She was a good instructor, and we all enjoyed ourselves, but there was another mishap when my friend and I each ordered a glass of wine and she brought the whole bottle over. At the end when we were paying for our drinks, she tried to charge us for the whole bottle even though we only poured ourselves a glass each. And when we fought her on it, she snarked "well why did you order a whole bottle, then?". Not the best customer service there. At the end of our class, she came up to me and complemented my painting... but cussed while doing it...? So I'm not sure if it was a compliment or not? There are plenty of paint and sip options in the Orlando area, so I suggest you look somewhere else. read more

This studio is inside Fashion Square Mall. Went with a party of 6 on a free wine Monday. The pros: Super nice/skilled instructor, nice space, free wine (!!), 90s playlist while painting. The cons: Lord Have Mercy, this class was SO SLOW. Paint for a few minutes and then sit and wait for twice that amount of time while the instructor went around and helped everyone in the class (about 20 people). I would definitely recommend this class to others (especially if you're not confident in your artistic abilities because she gives each student one-on-one feedback as she goes) but not to anyone who is impatient. We were there from 630-945 when we had to leave to get some family back to Tampa. A bit too long for my taste but definitely a great family event!! read more

I bought this on Groupon and suggested that my daughter buy it on Groupon as a Christmas gift. 2 hours prior to my daughters event she got a phone call from this business saying they couldn't do the class because only two signed up. After my daughter convinced the business owner that she went out of her way to make that night happen the owner regretfully obliged and opened her doors. A few days later, the same thing happened to me. I made a scheduled event two weeks prior and two hours before the actual event she called and left a voicemail stating that since only two people signed up she was going to cancel the class because there was not enough people and it was only a Groupon that I had. I scheduled an event 2 weeks in advance and it should not matter if its 1 or 10 people in a class as well as if I pay through a Groupon or in cash while I was there. She accepted my Groupon when I made the event and she cancelled last minute because she didn't will be bothered by two people. Needless to say her business practice is unacceptable and no matter how much money I spent on Groupon to go to that place to paint I will not give my business to them. To me the place seems very shady and unprofessional. read more

This was so much fun! I have done the paint and sips before but we ended up showing up and had a private class with Teri and she was very patient seeing as that we have no artistic skills. She joked with us. I didn't think my boyfriend would be into doing this at all but she engaged in conversation with him about sports and other things and he had a great time! Terry was very nice and accommodating, I'm definitely not an artist but she did a really good job explaining while still giving the space to make the painting your own. Definitely bring booze, it really makes for a fun evening! We ran really long, but Terry never made us feel rushed. She was very thorough.
