Such a fun place to go to with family and friends! They always have different pieces so it's fun to see what you can choose fun. I'm glad to see this place is still open and business is doing great! I was able to take my kids here for the first time and I had not been since I graduated HS with my bestie. The staff is very helpful and kind. The store is really nice and set up so nice but is also super kid friendly. They have all the colors you can choose from too!! My only complaint is get ready to get your wallet out and empty....however if you break down the cost per running a business like this it really makes sense! I do like that the price is all in one so whatever your piece is will be your total- there are no add ons for painting and stuff. A little late on this review but... This was my families second time at Painted Earth. Our experience was just as amazing as the first. Great atmosphere, delightful customer service and overall an enjoyable moment just painting artwork that add to our Easter decorations back in April. I also went back just before Mother's Day to have a paw clay impression done of her baby boy, Teddy as a gift. It came out amazingly beautiful. She loved it so much. However no fault on Painted Earth; but if you decide to get a clay impression done you need to schedule it well in advance a head of time if you want it completed by a certain time. The impression is fast, but the cure time takes awhile to finish. Give or take 6 weeks. They do tell you this but plan accordingly. I myself did not know this so my wife got her gift from Teddy a month later. Again that was on my own planning and not knowing this until after. However the impression was wonderfully done and again my wife loved it very much, even though she got it later. Brought a tear to her eye. I highly recommend Painted Earth for anyone who wants to enjoy quality time with their loved ones or even for good therapeutic moment or even as a soothing hobby. It's a fun way to spend time with friends and family. At the appointment time we selected our ceramic pieces to paint and paid for the afternoon. Payment was all inclusive. After a few days we came back for our finished products One piece was broken in the process, and they made good on the problem. I'm very pleased. I do enjoy coming to Painted Earth. However, to have an event without any custom themed ceramics is quite odd. I know other themed events like the Harry Potter one had ceramics specific for that event. Not sure why they would not have something that is super popular available to paint and purchase. The prices are expensive but the experience is worth it in my opinion. I would recommend getting a reservation because when I went I did not have a reservation but it was early in the day and they let us sit. This place gave me anxiety, I don't know how anyone could come here to actually relax. I did like the option of sitting outside with some snacks and drinks while painting though. We came in for a birthday party and the room was so tiny, the whole place itself is crowded with barely any room to walk between tables/chairs that are squeezed in, let alone be able to browse their items leisurely. We looked at a few pieces and their prices were insane, but my kid wants to go back to paint something else already. They had fun at the party, but not sure this is something I would take them back to do again especially having to wait two weeks to pick up your item. read more

I recently visited Painted Earth in Menifee, and had a fantastic experience!! Erin and Luke were exceptional during my visit. Erin was knowledgeable and patient while helping me choose the right piece and tools for my pottery piece, while Luke gave my friend great tips as they are both artists. Friendly employees. It was my first time here and I brought my 3 year old nephew with me. The young man helping us was very patient and went the extra mile. The outside seating was great. Plenty of base pieces and colors of paint to choose from. The closer location was too busy to fit us in same day, but Temecula was able to. I'm glad, as the Menifee location. This place is located in a busy shopping center in Menifee. It's an awesome place to entertain my little ones! My oldest daughter calls herself an artist so this place is right up her alley! The window displays feature upcoming classes, which is very alluring to painters! When you go in someone usually greets you and offers to help. The inside perimeter of the store has beautiful samples and lots of pottery options to choose from. We've come to free paint with Grandma once before and my 5 year old came to take a "Peace" art class on a separate occasion. It cost about $25 for the class. She was in a small room in the back of the store with a few other kids and an art teacher. The class also included a snack. The nice thing is you get a phone call reminder a few days before to confirm your class attendance. This class was part of the summer junior art classes. When we came with Grandma we were able to choose our pottery pieces and table and then get right to painting. The cool thing is that we didn't have to reserve a table beforehand. The next step was pretty straight forward; access to paints, brushes, stencils, etc, no time restraint and then once you're done and pay you need to come back the following Friday to pick up your piece. My 2 year old accidentally dropped her finished unicorn about 2 1/2 feet and it did NOT break! Phew! Talk about an amazingly solid product :) My two year old took about thirty minutes to paint while Grandma and 5 year old took about an hour to paint. You basically pay for the art piece you've chosen to paint (prices vary). Even though I personally wasn't painting, it was fun to see my children creating, making an organized mess and being responsible to clean up. We had to wash our brushes and paint palettes in the sink. This is a great place that we fully recommend! My 5 year old has already asked to sign up for more classes :) read more

Was very dissatisfied with the customer service. We walked in to an empty shop. We were asked if it was our first time there by both girls working that day, which it was. They only informed us that we would not be able to have our piece taken home until a week from that day. We paid for our piece and then sat down not knowing we could get our own paint. After waiting a few minutes (still in an empty shop) I asked how we get the paint. The girl informed me we could just grab it from the wall. When we were finished I realized that there was containers that you could put water in to clean your brushes as you paint, also wasn't informed of that. For the amount of money we paid and the amount of times we were asked if it was our first time (and being the only ones in the shop) they could of at least let us know where to grab paint brushes from! read more

6:15 on a weekday, wife and I decide to go to painted earth Menifee for our weekly date night. We are greeted at the door by someone who tells us we aren't accepting new reservations and or walk-ins (mind you closing time is 8p) she explains to us that she is a new "closer" and she needs extra time to "clean". As we are lifting our jaws off the ground, some people walk in which do have reservations, I asked "what's the difference in time where these people who walked in and me and my wife to be allowed in"? She says "I already have them set up". This was a date night for me and my wife and future "date nights" will never again be here! Shame shame business owner! Don't recommend! read more

So. Fun. I try to come here as often as possible without burning out on it. The staff is always helpful and friendly and one time the lady even let us stay a few minutes later because we were just about finished. Talk about great customer service, she even helped my mom throughout her painting and was very friendly. They currently are doing paint at home and delivering if your order is large enough. Love it! Took my mom here and we had a great time! To be honest we greatly underestimated how long our small projects would take so we had to cancel our dinner reservations, but it was totally worth it. They have so many color and texture options that we just got lost in our masterpieces and completely didn't realize how long we spent in there. We are not artists but it was really nice just slowing down life and being creative. I especially loved how attentive and helpful the staff was, without them being overbearing or making us feel rushed. I would definitely say this a great place to take someone where you can connect without distractions, perhaps a first date or even just an old loved one. Thought I'd attend Pet Paint class since I haven't done anything too creative in awhile! Usually, the assignment is for one pet but this took two classes to complete. I couldn't choose which one of my babies between the pair of green-cheek Conures, so I painted both! The relaxed atmosphere (helps to bring your own chips and glass of wine) under instructor Crystal's guidance helped me shift right into my creative mode. What's nice too about this paint class is the no fuss clean-up. Canvas, paint and brushes are supplied, space is set up so no valuable paint time is lost and the staff picks up the mess.
