Since my original review, nearly three years later I haven't had anyone but Judy and her team do my manicures and pedicures- I'm jumpy during filing and Judy is really patient with me. She is always on top of the newest products and techniques and has executed so many fun styles. I get compliments all the time and have sent coworkers who consistently drive from Napa and further to visit Painted Petals. In new in town and I have tried several other nail salons and I've found my place at Painted Nails. Judy knew exactly what I wanted and did an amazing job. Was finally able to make it out here again. Made it a family day and my husband, myself and 2 girls all got mani/pedis (husband just got a pedi lol) Made our appointments online which also sends you reminder texts. We were seated within 5 minutes. Pedicure was great and the gel dried SUPER fast! Guess it's been awhile since I've had it done. Judy did my nails and asked me what I wanted but I left it up to her to design. Although she did my nails quick, I didn't mind at all because I had 3 kids with me. She did such a BEAUTIFUL job and it came out PERFECT My oldest daughter got her first pedicure in the spa chair and she felt like a princess and they treated her like one. She had plenty of snacks and water for my hungry son. He got so comfortable that he started running around. Will be coming back. read more

Judy is absolutely amazing. Not only is her technique fabulous, but her salon is so clean. I don't get my nails done often for 1 reason. Because I can never find a nail tech I can trust for a great gel manicure, so I was very happy to find Judy. She has been consistently wonderful. She is super detail-oriented and my gel manicures last well over 2 weeks with no chipping. My gel nails I have right now are going on 3 weeks, and still no chips, and I am so rough on my hands. Can't wait til my next appointment! P.S. She's great with kids! Sometimes I treat my daughter to mani and pedi days, and she loves Judy! read more

Very friendly staff. Walked in and was sat down right away had my pedicure first and the lady that did it did a great job! Then had Judy do my nails showed her a picture and picked the colors I wanted and she made it happen. She did a great job love my nails. They also offer something to drink which was very sweet and unexpected. Will definetly be back. Prices are same like anywhere else in Sonoma. read more

I'm updating my review based on my experience as I had previously posted on behalf of my mom's experience with this nail salon. I really wanted to like this place because it's so close to home and they offer a lot of services. I got my nails done twice and I really liked the finished product. What I did not like was the customer service I received. Both times the owner did my nails and she's an amazing nail tech. However her customer service skills need to be improved. She kept checking her phones for messages, would greet other clients however didn't engage me in conversation and the second time I visited her I was there for 1.5 hours for a fill because she had to help one of the other nail techs to do a design on another client and then she proceeded to let another nail tech do the nail design on my nails which was not satisfactory. Never once did she apologize for the long wait time in between. If you don't have enough time or enough staff, then don't double book. read more

I had an extra hour to kill in Sonoma before visiting my friend so I figured I'd get my nails done - mani and pedi - so I called. My phone cut out but the owner called me back. They had an opening and took me right when I arrived. It's not a very big place, really only room for a few people and there were only 2 people working on a Saturday at noon. Pricing is standard, same as what I pay in Santa Rosa. The ambiance is cute, they have a cute sign for selfies in the front. ;) Over a week later and the polish has stayed on both my hands and my feet. My boss treated the girls in the office for mani/pedis and since we are in Sonoma we had our nails done here. The owner was super sweet the shop is so cute inside. Judy does the best hard gel manicure on my natural nails! I drive all the way from Benicia and it's 100% worth it for the results of Judy's work. I have struggled with finding something that stays on my weak nails for longer than 4 days for years and now I am consistently get fills at around 3 weeks! read more

Easily the worst mani/pedi I've ever received. The entire process was rushed, I was pushed through a deluxe pedi and a gel mani in 45 minutes. The manicure started while I was in the chair before my pedi was done. Rushed on shaping my nails resulting in a cut on my finger and didn't even clean my cuticles properly. On top of that, she didn't clean the nails up when she was done, I was left to clean out the paint that got under my nails and the dust from the file on my own. All to look down at my feet as I was walking out to see the bumpy paint job on my toes. I wish I would have refused to pay the $110 (plus tip which I only left $10 due to the poor service) when I was leaving, but considering the issues seemed so blatantly obvious with no apology offered or acknowledgment it didn't seem worth it. Definitely do not recommend and not sure where all their glowing reviews come from. read more

Judy hands down does the best nail extensions & gel manicures! They last forever!! She's done acrylic and apres gel extensions, and they look very natural. Best part they last a long time! "F'**k**g indestructible nails!" I've gone to Hawaii & a backpacking trip with these apres gel extensions (with Russian manicure/stiletto-almond shape skinny French tips) & they are still in great condition! No chipping, lifting what so ever after 5wks! If you want a manicure that lasts, go book your next nail appointment with Judy. read more

I recently visited this spa with a group of my friends before my wedding. They had tons of snacks and beverages for us which was so lovely, and such a big selection of nail colors which is nice. However, it wasn't the best experience. It seems like we were there much longer than we needed to be, and three of us left with bloody nail beds from the techs working on our cuticles. My gel manicure is also chipping around the edges already, and it's only been two days :/ I'd like to think that maybe because we were a big group they couldn't spend that much quality time on us, but was pretty disappointed, especially for before my wedding! read more

I normally do my own nails, but I wanted a professional's touch for my wedding. I started going to Painted Petals one month before my wedding, so I could try out a few different manis prior to the big day. I wish I would have started going sooner so I could test out more, because everything Judy and Bella have done has been beautiful. I wasn't sure what kind of mani was best, but Judy recommend hard gel which has been so perfect and long lasting. I went with a classic pink (Bubble Bath) for my wedding, and it was exactly what I wanted. I thought I might stop going after the wedding to save money, but I can't stop, the manis are so good!! read more

This is a horrible salon. A year ago I had a pedicure which was the worst experience. The nail technician rushed through my treatment, very sloppy applied polish and also ruined my right big toe nail. It was sanded in the weirdest way on that flat top of my nail which flaked off the polish, part of my nail and cracked down the center. My nails were in great shape !!!BUT NOW 1 year later my nail is still having problems and have to see a foot Dr again. Yes, I received a refund from the owner who tried to fix my nail problem last year but evidently it was never successful! Still dealing with the problem! read more

What a perfect place and a perfect way to celebrate a birthday! Judy pulled out all the stops for us and made the morning so special! We each enjoyed a mani/pedi treatment while sipping on mimosas and nibbling on the fruit & nut platter (extra cost but 100% worth it). She and her team went above and beyond with pampering us, especially since we'd not had our nails done since pre-Covid! Amazing. I love judy and her family so much. I had gone in for a birthday set and spontaneously chose a few colors, by the time I got home I realized I messed up and I didn't like what I had told her I wanted. 110% my fault I was upset with myself, so I call Judy crying and she says don't cry you're totally fine come on back in an hour. She was so so patient and sweet and made the whole experience so much easier to do. She made me feel comfortable and I left with an incredible set for my birthday. Established in 2020.

This establishment is under new management and owner since March 2020, just to be closed 2 weeks later due to the COVID19 pandemic. Painted Petals Spa reopened again fully in early 2021, however the effects of the pandemic forced a change in business direction and to downsize. We have since settled into our new space and ready to restart and rebuild.
