This was my first time here. The salon is lovely with a fountain, lots of beautiful plants, and nice relaxing music playing. They have the awesome massage chairs which are to die for! And my pedicure looks absolutely beautiful! I will be back for sure! read more

This family-run business is tendered with dedication and care, and they use quality scrubs and include a hot stone massage. Loan always does an amazing job with my pedicure, giving so much attention to detail and supporting me in my whimsical ideas for nail design and crazy color patterns. I don't get my nails done frequently, but I'll never forget how she created an extra appointment for me at the end of a booked-up day once when I'd been having a hard time. I didn't realize when I called to schedule that the 6 pm she offered me was actually their standard close of business, but she she went above and beyond to show me the same inclusive care as if I'd had a normal appointment time. I'm not sharing this to say it's okay to ask for an exception, but rather to highlight the generosity, dedication of time, and community spirit she shares with her clients. Awesome experience at Happy Nails. Loan, was meticulous and super detailed. She used the little drimmel tool to take off my old polish, and it was so gentle and soft taking off just the polish. Service is great, the team is very meticulous, the salon is very clean. Its best if you make a reservation ahead of time as they DO get booked up quickly - call to book at least a day or two. Once I was able to get in on the same day, but only because they had a cancelation. Love that they are very hospitable - offering water and sometimes coffee. Great attention to detail when it comes to clipping nails and painting. Massage chairs are comfortable. My recommendations: - call to book ahead of time - The happy pedicure comes with parrafin wax treatment for baby soft feet (surprisingly, many places locally don't offer). The happy pedicure also comes with a 20 minute massage and believe me - totally worth it! Make sure to reserve enough time for this though! read more

I'm a local, and this is the only nail salon I go to after trying a lot. When I arrive, I'm greeted, and they get straight to it. They take their appointment times seriously and always call if they're running late. I noticed they don't allow walk-ins or overbook for the sake of customer experience, and I really appreciate that they take their time to address your needs. I personally get gel manicures and pedicures with Lin, who has been a nail tech for 30 years. She is gentle and efficient! The son of the owner is also great. They don't do acrylics, which I appreciate because the salon doesn't have that strong smell; in fact, it's the first salon that feels like a spa. Made an appointment on May 19th for a mani-pedi for my 13 year old granddaughters graduation weekend. Appointment scheduled for today 6-1 at 12:30 and got there on time but they said there was no appointment. Owner asked which salon did you make the appointment at because I have 3. I had no idea she had 3. I only know I called Sonoma as that is where her school is. Very disappointed and it does make me curious about the quality and professionalism of their work if this is how they schedule clients. We went to Happy Nails the other day for a girls day. My friend who has lived in Sonoma for years has been going somewhere else but I wanted to try Happy Nails. I was a bit confused by the history of reviews, they were pretty bad for a while, then improved greatly. It turns out the new owners bought it about 8 months ago don't quote me.) Reviews skyrocketed, and with good reason. A mother son and daughter bought it and they are great. I got a pedi (with hot rocks-I love this) and my friend got a manicure and we were both very happy with our outcomes. I'm sending my Mom there now also. And we will be going back for sure! read more

This salon just recently opened under new ownership so any previous negative reviews don't apply. I went today for a pedicure and I have to say it was the best pedicure I've ever had. For $30 it included an exfoliating leg and foot scrub and a hot stone massage. There was no upselling, trying to get me to order an upgraded more expensive service. I don't even know if there is an upgraded pedicure here because the one I got was everything I wanted. For the month of July they are having a 10% discount because of their first month opening. Be sure to call and make an appointment! Also, they are very clean and sanitary, I saw them sanitize each station after use and they washed their hands every time they touched something without gloves. read more

I happen to be in Sonoma and needed my nails done BADLY! I was near the Sonoma Plaza when I stumbled upon this hidden gem. The decor and everything was so cute! I ended up getting a gel mani and pedi. OMG it was so relaxing and amazing! I got such a wonderful hot stone foot massage/scrub from Hoang (the son) and Kim Loan (the mom) was so precise when painting my nails. They def made sure I was taken care of, if I needed water or anything they were super attentive. Everything seemed so new and clean. Such a wonderful family run salon! Excellent experience. I came here with my mother and mother in law for wedding mani pedis. The family that owns this salon took excellent care of us, even offering us water and Vietnamese coffee. They are very good about carving out time for appointments, so you won't feel rushed. The salon itself is very clean and calming. The quality of manicure and pedicure was excellent. We had a mix of regular and gel mania/pedis, and a french manicure. Very affordably priced, as well. As a local, this will be my go-to nail salon in Sonoma going forward. read more

Holy cow! I have to add- I get my regular gel manicures here, but this week treated myself to a pedi as well (I typically don't do pedicures because I'm anxious and ticklish, not great at being still or having my feet touched) and I was blown away. The best foot massage of my life- hot stones, no judgement of the state of my feet, and a lovely color job. This family owned business is great and I just adore both mom and son. Probably one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I needed some extra attention to my pedi and the employee started comparing me to the other customer getting a pedi. After she painted my nails she put my sandals on and said Thank you bye. I went an hour before closing time and my pedi was done within 30 min. i'm having to blast my heat to dry my nails. And the polish is all over my toes. She rushed the job and didn't pay attention to the detail. I just moved to town and was looking for a home nail salon, off to the next. read more

I stopped into Happy Nails before checking their Yelp page and I'm so glad I did. I can't speak to other people's experience at this salon (although, it looks like the other reviews are all pretty old) but mine was amazing. After trying out several other salons in the area (and being disappointed) I made my way to Happy Nails yesterday. It was my birthday and I was already running late for my dinner date. The salon was slow, so they were able to help me immediately. The place is clean and airy, the pedicure massage chairs are new and comfortable. What I most appreciated was that the place doesn't reek of chemicals like some of the other local salons. Overall, it was super clean and comfortable. But most importantly, my nails look great. I was REALLY pleased with my pedicure, which was $25 (and it did include a calf massage, foot scrub, etc.) I'll be frequenting Happy Nails from now on. read more

He is one of the kindest, most genuine, and hardworking people I know. He treats everyone with love and respect, and he absolutely does not deserve to be made to feel uncomfortable or judged while PAYING for a service. Making a comment about him wanting French tips because of his gender/sexuality is completely inappropriate, unprofessional, and honestly just cruel. There is absolutely nothing wrong for anyone wanting whatever makes them feel confident and happy. Your job as a salon is to provide a service and make your clients feel welcome, not make comments that shame or belittle them. This is not "just a comment." That kind of behavior is bullying, and it can genuinely affect someone's confidence and make them feel like they have to hide parts of themselves. Nobody should have to experience that, especially from people they are literally paying to provide a service. If you can't provide that basic level of kindness and professionalism to every client who walks through your doors, you shouldn't be in a customer-facing business. I would strongly encourage people to think twice before supporting a business that makes its clients feel judged or unwelcome for simply being themselves. Everyone deserves to leave a salon feeling good about themselves not embarrassed or belittled.

He is one of the kindest, most genuine, and hardworking people I know. He treats everyone with love and respect, and he absolutely does not deserve to be made to feel uncomfortable or judged while PAYING for a service. Making a comment about him wanting French tips because of his gender/sexuality is completely inappropriate, unprofessional, and honestly just cruel. There is absolutely nothing wrong for anyone wanting whatever makes them feel confident and happy. Your job as a salon is to provide a service and make your clients feel welcome, not make comments that shame or belittle them. This is not "just a comment." That kind of behavior is bullying, and it can genuinely affect someone's confidence and make them feel like they have to hide parts of themselves. Nobody should have to experience that, especially from people they are literally paying to provide a service. If you can't provide that basic level of kindness and professionalism to every client who walks through your doors, you shouldn't be in a customer-facing business. I would strongly encourage people to think twice before supporting a business that makes its clients feel judged or unwelcome for simply being themselves. Everyone deserves to leave a salon feeling good about themselves not embarrassed or belittled.

I responded with yes I would be there. I showed up a little before 9:30am as my appointment was at 9:30am. The gal must have had a rough start to her day as I felt her tone was rude. I was told to sit at a station and a woman sat down to work on my nails. I thought maybe she was just prepping my nails...? Nope she did the whole set and left them extremely uneven, I did ask her to fix them but her fix did nothing. I had to go home and fix them myself. My nails look so wide and the tip isn't glued seamlessly to my nail. I don't think I will be going back. I'm disappointed in their lack of scheduling and rude behavior.
