The exterior of my house needed painting and siding work. I was referred by a friend to contact a guy named Manny at Painter's décor. I called the number and Manny arranged to come out (the next day) to give me an estimate for the work. I have owned several houses in the past, and I have hired contractors to do work on every facet regarding properties. "Manny is by far the most friendly, knowledgeable and honest contractor I have ever dealt with." He arrived at my house on time, and conducted a thorough evaluation. He pointed out exactly what they would be doing, and he explained why certain things needed to be done. I needed siding work on my garage due to previous water damage, and he addressed it immediately. His attention to detail is incredible! Workmanship and QUALITY is extremely important to him. He refused to risk his reputation by cutting corners. Each job, unforeseen issue, or additional project was discussed in advance and preparations were made without causing much delay. He explained the entire paint application process from start to finish and gave me a timeline and estimate that I was very happy with. His team of professionals were courteous, respectful, knowledgeable and highly experienced. Manny was on site daily to ensure that the prep work was up to the highest standard. He was always available in case I had questions regarding the job. His crew arrived on time (always early) every day to start work, and they cleaned up at the end of each day. My husband and I recently purchased our first home in Chatsworth and came across Manny and Painter's Decor through their outstanding reviews on Yelp. After considering other estimates we decided to go with Manny and his team despite being slightly costlier. We had a fairly aggressive schedule in terms of wanting to get into our new home. Our place is a decent sized multi-story home that needed a lot of work. We wanted to turn the multi-colored interiors into all white and this included all the walls, ceilings in all of the rooms including the bathrooms and even the kitchen cabinets. Amazing! If you're like me, you've spent days (if not weeks) searching for the right painter for your project. In my case, it's even harder to find someone to hire. That's because I have an inherent distrust of anyone working on either my car or my home. They first need to get past my dissection of the company's Yelp reviews, then get past the initial phone call where I discuss the job with them, then get past my impression of them during their initial estimate, and then finally get past my critique of their written estimate. Painters Decor not only met my expectations, but exceeded them BY FAR. Manny is the principal of the company. A nice guy with a pleasant attitude. Easy to reach via email and cell. After his visit, he emailed me a detailed written estimate. Price was good and everything seemed transparent. So, I hired him. When the two-man crew arrived on site, they were very respectful and orderly. What really blew me away was the prep work. They not only prepped the room that needed to re-painted, but also covered the furniture in the adjoining hallway and bedroom to be extra safe in protecting against dust and paint. Working with Manuel was such a delight. I contacted several companies for estimates, of which Manuel was the first to return my call. I was up front with the project: it needed to be done on a VERY tight schedule, and it was a large interior project. We needed the entire house painted, while we live and operate a business out of it. And it needed to be done in 1 WEEK! Manuel was able to give us a quote the same day, within a few hours of speaking with him. His prices were comparable to others in the area, and he was able to start on the project right away and complete it within the time frame given. Manuel and his crew were able to complete the interior paint with hardly any interference with our daily life and disruption to the business. We requested a specific brand and paint color, and he had no issue obtaining it, and there was not a huge mark up for requesting this specific brand. I will admit, I was skeptical that the quality of work might left wanting since we were on such a tight time frame, but that was not the case. Manuel and his crew were efficient, polite and the quality of their work was not compromised by the time crunch in any way. I should add, I also work remotely, and Manuel excelled at communicating with me during each stage of the project and my team on-site, letting us know what would be done each day and what they needed from us to complete it. We had both our entire exterior and interior re-painted(a 1500 sq ft house) and our experience was extremely positive in so many ways. First, everyone from Manny, the owner, to the crew of painters were extremely professional and polite. Second, the inspection at the beginning was very thorough. Manny spotted the problems that would be both major and minor and the bid was written in the detail I think is so important. Third, talk about timeliness-when we were told the crew would start at 7AM each day, they meant it. It wasn't like they were showing up at "around 7AM" they were literally working AT 7AM.
