I had an outside railing which had rusted completely through. I called Pablo because of the work he did for us previously. He and his team repaired and repainted the railing promptly. Horrible, Spoke with Pablo regarding getting a Quote for our business (we had a leak) he asked for an Address, I sent him all the information and never replied back, day after I call him and he was super pissed saying who is going to pay, when he never went to the place, he didn't even answered the messages, super entitled and not professional, we work with a high recognized company in the agoura hills and he was really sketchy. Pablo is neither responsive, a good value or reliable. He may be on a selective basis, but not in my experience. I do like that he is soft spoken. But I don't like his indecisive nature. I initially reached out to him on Yelp for help repairing a patch of concrete in the garage. This cracked area is approx 1 sq ft and he wanted $750 to do the entire area, approx 12 sq ft of top coat. I immediately felt as though the price was high, but I didn't want to waste his time coming out to Moorpark for the cement quote. While he was there, I asked him about installing a wire shelf that I had purchased in a small closet. The closet is approx 4 ft wide and the shelf was approx 3 ft wide. He stated he could definitely help, and I had the shelf there to show him. He told me he'd charge approx $115 or $150 (honestly I could not tell over his heavy accent and soft voice) to do the work. Before he left on this first visit, I asked him to come inside and check the closet wall for installation. His response was "it's just a normal wall, right?". He came back for a second visit shortly after that day and less than 10 minutes into the second visit, he determined that based on where the studs were on the wall, this bracketed wire shelf was not matching the studs. I immediately agreed to return the shelf and pay to have him buy the materials and come back to install the shelving properly. He confidently told me in person that he had the dimensions and he'd contact me soon to come back and install it. Unfortunately it seems that we wasted each others time and he never followed up since that visit. I've already found someone else to help that will make a nice shelf that matches my other closets. It's not often that I leave a bad review but this is my honest experience. I would not use Pablo for important tasks, or recommend him to other homeowners looking for a fairly priced "handyman". read more

So, I just had a small job to hang a curtain rod and curtains in my guest bedroom. Quotes were all over the place from hundreds of dollars on down. Ridiculous. I found Pablo on Yelp, and I'm glad I did. He is on my speed dial now. Good rates for a nice guy who gets the job done. He came to my home to repair some things, and no job was too small for him. He is also helping me with kitchen cabinets. When I invite someone into my home, I expect that person to show respect to my property and my family. Pablo was very respectful and kind. Five stars. Edit: I'm lowering my review to 3 stars because he flakes on me recently and totally stopped communicating with me. I was looking through yelp for a reliable handyman to install backyard mist system in the back yard and replace closet doors. There are few categories I'm rating professional by: price, accessibility, integrity, honesty. This guy had failed all of them. First he was 2 hours late, he responded so fast to my quote request and than first communication but than after a whole different story. He quoted me $45/hr (through yelp messaging system) but forgot to mention in the quote that's it's per person so when he came to do the work with another guy the actual price was $90/hr. Got 2 doors one was new and one he bought cheap open box that was damaged he didn't bother to inspect it before purchasing. Than we had to wait for the new door to come ( I had to send him a picture because he couldn't remember which door he installed. When he installed the door we were out of town, a week after we get home to find the door's shutters all broken. I sent him the picture and suggested him to take the doors down and return it to Home Depot and reimburse me the doors money since now its looks worse that it was before. He agree to take the doors down but want me to return it to Home Depot and never-the less charge me for that time!!!! outrages!!! Oh one last thing when i made the check to Pro handyman he said he still doesn't have the company ( even tough the shirts he was wearing said in large prints Pro Handyman) and asked the check to be made to Pablo Martinez. I called The Pro Handyman, Pablo Nieto, for the first time, this morning to install a replacement Garbage Disposal. Pablo responded on Yelp, within 10 minutes. He gave me a quote and I said come on down. He was at my home in less than 2 hours. The new disposal was larger than the space, because of another filter. So Pablo was patient and relocated the other problem filter, that was not part of the expectation and still charged me the original quote. He gave a solid performance and was very clean about it.
