When you first walk in, there's a big armpit smell. The place looked cluttered and gross. I met a group of friends here so that's why I didn't turn around and leave immediately. Jacobi was the instructor and I think the armpit smell was her! I couldn't stand it. I don't know who needs to tell her but man it was bad. The place was also dirty on the floor, not from expected paint drips but just dusty with a layer of filth. You could tell they don't clean it at all. Many people had food but I felt the place was so filthy I wouldn't want to eat there. I'd rather be outside on a park bench. Will not go back! read more

Made for a fun date night. Instructor had a good sense of humor and was very patient with some of us who were very novice artist.

Sarah was our instructor and was so fun to paint with! she made the experience enjoyable and I'd definitely go back. 10/10 experience :)

I've always wanted to try one of these places and when I found one had opened in Denton I was excited. I wanted to bring my grand daughters ages 9 & 11, and hoped it would be something we could do multiple times. They love to paint, sew and do just about any craft, so I knew this was right up their alley. I looked online and there didn't seem to be many options for kids and the paintings looked kind of boring for kids, but I decided to book a Saturday and give it a try. First let me say, we were 5 minutes late, the information is very clear about being on time and we came from a morning cross country school event 30 miles away, and got there a soon as we could. The information I read when booking the date gave me the impression this was for kids not parents. There were 12 adults and 5 kids painting. The instructor had obviously never painted this particular picture before, as she was "winging it" as she went. There was no assistance from the instructor other than giving out more paint if you asked. She simply talked about what to do next while she painted her picture. I was expecting to be told how to hold a brush, possibly the ways to make a particular stroke, some encouragement for the smaller kids. She was very concerned about time and didn't want to waste it giving special instructions. Everyone was rushed. There weren't enough dryers for everyone to efficiently dry their painting so they could move on to the next step. I somehow thought there would be some type of outline for the painters to follow since they were children, but since this was a mixed class with more adults than kids this was not the case. I don't know if there is ever a predetermined outline on the canvas? There was no animation whatsoever in this instructors presentation. It was very flat; plain vanilla, what I would expect if I took a continuing ed class at a college; everyone doing their own thing. When it was over, my grand daughters couldn't get out of there fast enough, they wanted to trash their paintings and go do something "fun". Needless to say, I wasted my money, and this will not be on the list of options for a pre-teen Birthday celebration. Maybe my expectations were wrong, as I said, not at all what I thought it would be. read more

I went here for the first time and had a lot of fun. However my friend and I were the youngest there by at least 20 years. I felt like it was a place for middle-aged moms and people on dates to go. Our instructor was hilarious, though. Would probably go back not on a weeknight. read more

So this was my first time ever painting anything that didn't involve painting with numbers or my fingers. Like we used real brushes. I was very very skeptical and nervous with how mine painting was ever going to look like hers and it was one of my favorites. To the moon and back.
