The instructors were good, very friendly. Did the Paint Your Pet class with some friends. The reason for the three stars is that I was really perplexed and disappointed by the sketch they did of my cat. Like, it was bizarre-looking. The eyes and ears were out of place and the neck was misshapen, and the sketch was small compared to the canvas, leaving a LOT of blank background space. I have done several of the pet painting classes before, at other locations, and never had such a poor sketch. I don't expect a shaded, perfect sketch, but it should at least have the major reference points correct. I felt like my canvas was the last one sketched and the artist just was tired and past caring. read more

Definitely a fun outing with the girls and easy instructions for almost anyone to paint. I went with my mom, cousin, and aunt in celebration of my mom's birthday. Only drawback (and this is just because of my personality) is that I was getting annoyed by all of the talking and giggling. I'm not the drinking, giggly type and was holding my breath between strokes while trying hard to concentrate. I don't know how people can talk and concentrate on their painting at the same time. As the instructor was wrapping up the class and trying to get everyone's attention, all of the women kept talking, and out of habit, I snapped my finger, teacher-style, which prompted one lady's mouth to shut and dash back to her painting area. Thank goodness we had our own table seeing as that we were the only 4 water-drinking, serious type-As in the room. If I'm paying $35 for my painting, I'm not going to be cackling, sippin' booze, and carelessly slinging my paintbrush around. read more

A good friend of mine and I played catch up here while we drank and painted. It was such a good time! The artist/instructors are really fun too. They ring a bell when its 'time' to take a drink throughout the evening and they encourage you not to take the project too seriously. I had my doubts about how the final product would turn out, but the artist's are really good instructors and my painting wasn't horrible. Yay! Though, after I was finished I could see how I could have done a better job...and that's what got me hooked. I'm going to the Dallas location tonight and am anticipating another fun and relaxing experience. This is a great place to go with a girlfriend and do more than the usual happy hour or dinner. You leave feeling productive....if not also a bit loopy. Oh and you leave with your own personal piece of art. :) read more

Such a fun place. I am going to try the Mckinney location. We came in with a group of 8 people... very laid back. The door was left open so the cool spring breeze was blowing in... just perfect. You can bring your own spirits, and so we did! If Jessica thought anyone was being too serious, she'd ring a bell which was everyone's que to take a sip! This is a great GNO, date, or even an opportunity to socialize solo (they have open group nights). I will return. Great way to relax, be creative if you like, and just have fun. Go! read more

This is the best way to spend an afternoon with your girlfriends! I have very limited artistic ability, but I still keep coming back for more paintings! It is so much fun to bring a few snacks, a bottle of wine and attempt to paint a picture. The instructors are awesome and so patient. I have to remind myself to relax, because that is when I paint better. The wine helps! It is so much fun spending time with your friends and meeting new people. It is quite a bonding experience. At the end, the whole class takes a picture together. It is so much fun to see all the different ways everyone painted the same picture. read more

Always a great time when we go! We signed up for Halloween last year and this last year, unfortunately we were the only two that signed up this year. The staff tried contacting me and was unable to get a hold of me. They were nice enough to give us the option of staying or leaving. We opted to leave because we felt bad to keep them but were bummed we didn't paint. They were nice enough to give us their painting of the selected picture for the night and give us a refund!!! Every time we go here the staff is always so fun and accommodating and patient!! Will definitely be back very soon!! So much fun. You will go in feeling intimidated but leave feeling like Picasso. The instructor, Rachelle, was so friendly and fun. It is in a cute area right off downtown Grapevine so it would be perfect for a girls night or a date night. read more

Had a great time at Painting with a Twist in Grapevine. This was my first experience at any byob painting class so I can't compare it to any others, but we had absolutely zero complaints about our night. There were only a total of 6 people in our class but it was really nice having a smaller setting and not feeling like you might get lost in the shuffle. I truly believe your experience relies atleast 75% on your instructor. Our instructor Jessica was great and made sure everyone was having fun while creating their masterpiece. We will absolutely be back and hopefully have just as great as an experience on our future visits! read more

I totally love this place!!! A friend invited me, and I immediately said YES! We had so much fun! I, think this is a great concept and worth the $45 we paid for 3 hours of relaxation, drinks, snacks and walked out with an amazing painting of Picasso's Woman in the Mirror...I even framed mine a few days later and have it up in my living room!!!! We are going this week again to paint "Attitude"! Can't wait!!!!! I highly recommend you do something like this...its AMAZING!!! read more

Pros: Great website and easy signup. The instructor had lots of personality and was fun. They set up your work area for you so you don't have to worry about getting out paints or anything. You can bring food and any drinks you want. Cons: There is not a lot of parking and not a lot of space at the tables. The instructor went really fast and if you have never painted before you will not be able to keep up. I signed up for a 3 hour class and the instructor turned it into a 2 hour class without any prior notice. I felt cheated because I had paid for a 3 hour class. It seemed like a lot of the people would've had an easier time if the instruction had been spread out over the 3 hours instead of just 2. Overall it was fun but if I ever go again I would definitely not pay extra for the 3 hour class. read more

My fiancé bought me a gift card so I could paint here. He dropped me off with a bottle of wine and I had a great time painting!! By the end I was very relaxed and my painting turned out great. The instructor was good and nice, but the owner is so rude. She has the worst sense about how to talk to people. She is really grouchy. I made reservations a month in advance and she had not set up our canvases. I later saw that she sent a rude email about how she did't know if we were coming or not. I thought reservations took care of that. read more

Went here for the first time tonight and it was so much fun! Upbeat, energetic instructors really helped us have a great time and made sure no ones paintings looked awful. And they're generous to boot -- tonight was a charity night and they donated ALL of their proceeds to a great cause. Can't beat that. read more
