There are experiences that stay with you forever, and this was one of them. I booked a solo session at Paint with a Twist in Lawrenceville on what would have been my 36th wedding anniversary--the first anniversary I would spend alone after losing my husband just weeks earlier. I intentionally dressed up for the occasion because I wanted to honor both our marriage and this new chapter of my life. I expected an evening of painting and candle making. What I received was something far more meaningful. Although I happened to be the only guest who booked that session, my instructor, Sabrina, transformed what could have been one of the saddest days of my life into one of the most heartfelt and memorable experiences I've ever had. Knowing my circumstances, she went far beyond anything I could have imagined. She surprised me with a beautiful dozen roses, a signature Paint with a Twist wine glass, and a gift bag simply to make my day special. That level of genuine compassion cannot be taught--it comes from a truly kind heart. Because Paint with a Twist welcomes guests to bring their own beverages, I was able to bring my husband and my wedding flutes and quietly share a personal toast in his memory. It was a deeply healing moment that I'll cherish forever. The studio itself reflected the same warmth and creativity that Sabrina showed throughout the evening. It was clean, welcoming, well organized, and filled with inspiring artwork. Just outside the entrance was a charming café-style seating area that invited guests to relax, visit, and enjoy the creative atmosphere before or after class. As if the evening wasn't already perfect, it ended with an unexpected gift from the city itself. As I walked outside after the session, fireworks lit up the Lawrenceville sky. I watched them from the Paint with a Twist parking lot, and it felt like the perfect ending to a day filled with love, remembrance, healing, and hope. I left with much more than my very first candle and an original painting inspired by love and my new normal. I left feeling seen, valued, and reminded that even on life's hardest days, kindness has the power to bring joy back into someone's heart. Thank you, Sabrina, and everyone at Paint with a Twist, for creating an experience I will never forget. I wholeheartedly recommend this studio to everyone--whether you're celebrating life's happiest moments or searching for light during its most difficult ones. Beautiful studio and location. Everything was clean. The only bathroom is in the far studio but you can easily access it from all studios. Kimberly was very nice and helpful but the class started late and made us late for our dinner reservations. It was supposed to be 5:30-7:30pm but some ladies were late and they kept waiting on them despite website saying they don't. We got out a little after 8pm which is when our reservation was for. I think it would help if the person teaching the class had done the particular painting before but overall it was a fun experience and everyone was extremely helpful. read more

I found this class while looking up holiday activities in Gwinnett County. I love the Grinch so when I saw the image for the class I bought my ticket right away, it was $38. I was pleased to see the layout and space at the facility. The staff was friendly. They also do outdoor classes and paint more than just canvases. They offer other fun painting projects. When you come don't forget your snacks and libations, it helps you paint better! read more

High school mini reunion with some girlfriends and we had a good time! It was last minute but they added more spots after calling. You can bring any beverage you choose and food if you want! The instructor was helpful but not overbearing and bossy. I opted to do my painting completely different and had no issue with getting the colors I wanted! This place is very easy to find, it's very close to the gun range I frequent in Lawrenceville. I'm a thrifty person, I was a bit disappointed that they don't offer Groupons, but oh well. They offer a vast array of paintings for the classes held here. Our instructor was Ms Eileen, she was full of energy, kept us all laughing. My only peeve is that the website stated clearly that there was no alcohol allowed on Sundays, we show up on a Sunday and people were drinking. Other than that, I was pleased. This place is on the top level of a very small shopping center. I was struck by the aromatherapy that welcomed me when I entered. It smelled like a relaxing spa. The staff is very friendly. We each got an apron, fresh canvas, paper plate with assorted paint colors, and a cup of paint brushes soaked in water. It's BYO snacks and drinks. They play good music and the instructor communicates in a way that even a novice can paint a "masterpiece". Even if it does not offer a Groupon deal, the paintings look complex enough to make it worth it. Plus, the area is located in an interesting part of town. I would like to revisit again. They even have "frequent flier" cards and you can earn more punches if you like them on Twitter, FB, etc. There's a free parking deck across the street, near the Post Office. read more

Loved this class! My husband and I wish we came sooner. It was fun, creative and relaxing. It's in the cut on top of a ice cream shop but not super difficult to find. This is a great family friendly place which is great for any persons in a group or just people with a significant other wanting too show them out for a friendly date night or else what? This place has a good friendly atmosphere which envelops this small double art studio just right above the ice cream shop as one other reviewer mentioned our instructor whose name I can't really remember though she was very nice and spunky had just the right personality for an art teacher even given the small class we had and the easy painting we were given too recreate it was beside me and my party of two there were just two other people that were there and sat at the opposite table from us very friendly duo they were but getting back too the teacher she was just wonderful all positive vibes were flowing through her veins she only had good things too say didn't critique anything or anyone and just allowed you too do you hope too come back here soon again! read more
