Amazing cigar bar! I love that they have a full service bar and lounge with attentive staff. We felt very welcome and enjoyed the large selection of cigars they had. We also had an old fashioned and an espresso martini which was very good. The atmosphere was very chill with 80 music playing. Their smoke eaters work really well and it didn't seem smoky at all. I would highly recommend this spot and will probably make a trip from NJ just to come out here again! read more

I stopped by here last night on my way home and I'm glad I did. I was able to find street parking across the street which was nice. The area is very busy so I can see parking being a challenge. The cigar selection is abundant and the service was great. They had trivia last night which was a ton of fun. Even if you don't smoke cigars, this is a cool spot to grab a drink and chat with friendly people. read more

Great people there! Like you've been friends already. Love going there after dinner on Sunday. Take in the late game and just get the last of the weekend w friends football and stick. I just recently visited about a month ago. This place was awesome. I was only meant to come check it out, and ended up staying for over 3 hours. Prices were great cigar/drink wise. A great selection between cigars and drinks as well! The vibe inside was awesome, and this is a place I would highly recommend checking out. I will most certainly be back again. Great lounge... fantastic drinks - my wife said best espresso martini ever, and good whisky selection. Staff was pleasant to talk to. Our only small complaint would be more aggressive air exhaust/purification but that's being super picky. Good cigar selection and the prices are not outrageous for cigars or drinks. Our second time here after a lovely Wednesday night dinner on State Street and it was really a nice time...also a bit more relaxed this time now that Covid has calmed down. The atmosphere here is so cool. It's a bit unusual to find a cigar lounge with a full bar and small plate menu...but the name says it all. Lots of tables and chairs throughout. The ventilation system is ok but there were at least 6 cigars lit at once and the smoke got a little thick but nothing too bad. Nice place. I gave the manager my stuff he agreed to hold, it was a cup with stuff, I said I would leave it outside in my car. He said he would hold it on my behalf. He tossed it. Don't trust them. I confronted him on why and called him after as to why he would destroy my stuff. I found out today that I am banned. I had a box at $650 a year and supported this business for years. No Loyalty. This is a great shop. I'm a cigar guy, so having a bar inside is a bonus. I asked a few questions about their inventory and the guy working the store was attentive. Pairings is what I think America is- all races, creeds, ethnicities, religions in the same place, and making their way along, learning about each other. The owners are the essence of that philosophy. Ok, so i'm a sucker for a good cigar bar. i admit it. But its a trend that seems to have slipped in recent years.They don't grow on trees. At Pairings, I had the fortune to sit next to the owner and chat for a while. They've been open 2 months. They spared no expense here - from the smoke eaters to the decor/sitting/bar areas. Nicely laid out. We came in post show from the media theater, my significant other indulging my decadent desire for a good stick and a stiff drink. Pairings serves up both with style, ambiance and a friendly atmosphere - not to mention damn good service. They have a nice selection of cigars for every taste (and budget i suppose). Great selection of good liquors. I was not in the mood for a craft cocktail, but it looks like they have that covered as well. This isn't a budget stop, but if you're in the mood to burn one in a fun bar atmosphere, Pairings fits the bill. read more

I highly recommend this place if you enjoy a wide variety of cigars to select from at great prices, nice variety of beverages, and a relaxing atmosphere. The service was excellent and attentive while still keeping with the relaxing atmosphere. This place is amazing. I'm not an everyday cigar smoker so it was nice having Julie introduce us to the various types of cigars. Every recommendation was lovely. My favorite are the cigars made by Acid (brand). Very Very smooth . I drank the Orchard Edge cider. Mild and pretty good. It was a good pairing with my cigars. Racist!! My boyfriend and I were thrown out because the waiter(white male) felt as though he was being "too aggressive". This establishment needs to undergo some type of implicit bias training as the way we were treated because he didn't like the tone(deep voice) or masculinity of a black male was disgusting! I was completely confused by the way the waiter came over and asked my bf to be more "polite" and even when my bf said that he wasn't being rude and that he would "BE MORE POLITE", this man walked back and told us we had to leave! This place is dope on a rope. I've been to every cigar lounge in the Philly area. This one checks all the boxes. No pretentious regulars that make you feel unwelcome. Good selection Friendly staff. Updated facilities. And they have a liquor license which is a huge rarity for cigar lounges. It's the one cigar lounge I would take someone and not preface the visit with a bunch of the caveats; like: "Old Joe always sits at this chair facing the window so don't sit there" or "the TV remote doesn't work so you have to switch the channels manually" or "it's BYOB but be prepared to share what you bring"... these are all strange quirky rules of various cigar places in the area and pretty much the reason I don't go to any of them anymore... Oh, my!!! A cigar bar in Media? Yes! And a brand-new and nicely appointed one at that - complete with $70 lighters and $50 cutters and (of course) a great selection of fine (and moderate) cigars. Best of all? The bartenders are terrific - especially Melissa - who mixes a great cocktail with high-end tequilas (or vodka - they have a blood orange one). Food selections are limited but the cheese plate sounds great. I will be back - and next time I am eating!!! What an addition to the State Street scene! read more

Horrible experience! Many of you know I have a Cigar Bar in Washington, DC. I say that to say that I know the industry. In addition, I am the founder and CEO of the Good Time Gang Cigar Club International with Cigar Clubs in 45 cites and 2 International cites. I brought 50 people to Philly for the weekend to experience what Philly has to offer in terms of the Cigar social life. With that being said, we called ahead to Pairings to let them know that we would be coming to their location. Once we arrived, Management tells us that they are closing early because it's a slow night and that they had already made last call. Mind you, I'm walking in the door with 12 people, 6 of my other Club members were already there and I have approximately 20 more members in the way. Management says there is nothing he can do for us. This is a horrible way to run a business. I will never return. I urge all my club members not to frequent this establishment. Consider yourself warned.... Enter at your own risk! As Always.... This is a really chill, nice place. I'm not into cigars but my husband is, so once a year (his birthday), I decide to be nice and deal with the smokiness. Went to Pairings tonight and had a really good experience. Lovely atmosphere, comfy chairs, and good management. In fact, at one point a ridiculously drunk moron came in off the street and started clinging to my group. Within minutes management was asking us for signals if we wanted him gone. Eventually we had had enough and gestured for them, and they kicked the guy out. It's always nice to feel like a valued customer and to know that management wants us to feel safe and comfortable. read more

Pairings is such a great cigar bar and lounge. Joey Blanco was dj'ing the first night I went (he is there 1st and 3rd Fridays). The music was a great mix of soul and funk and he actually uses vinyl!!! I was urged by the manager, Corey, to come back the next day for their 2nd year anniversary and I had another great time. He made me a specialty cocktail that was amazing and put me on to a Gurka cigar which i had never had before. The overall vibe was really wonderful and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I will start by saying I did not personally get to enjoy any of the services that this bar had to offer because I left due to the poor and rude customer service. This was my first time in Media and I was checking out a couple of shops with some friends when we entered Pairings to use the facilities. As we finished, we were approached by an employee who was very rude and condescending. I was interested in purchasing a couple of their products for my family, friends and boyfriend but their attitude deterred me from purchasing anything. As we were leaving and saying thank you, we were mocked and mimicked by another employee as if them being unpleasant from the start wasn't enough. I sincerely wish well on the shop and it seems like a wonderful and booming business based on the customers and reviews; however, I am sad that I was not able to even start exploring the shop due the rude attitude of the employees. read more
